This is a class-A album for all lovers of good gaelic music and for newcomers to this wonderful culture. She now sings with her sisters as Mackenzie (www.mackenziemusic.com) - brilliant album (Camhanach) and unique live sound.

It's great. Her voice is great. It's so sweet, so clean, so different from many others. I love her voice. It's a voice of an adult mixed with a child voice. GREAT!!!

Scots Gaelic beauty and richness.......1998-09-30

I must preface this by saying that I am a lover of Scottish Gaelic music. Other artists have made headway in bringing this music to light - Mairi MacInnis, Karen Matheson and Capercaillie, Catherine-Ann MacPhee. Beautiful voices all.

While the temptation has been to modernize this music as Mouth Music has done - it elevates this earthy and vibrant cultural expression to the level of noise. Ms. MacKenzie does just the oppposite - she lifts the levels and allows them to breathe new air and the music sails to new heights. This is a cd which takes several listenings, but it will become a favorite - a delicate moment in the Gaidhealtachd! Cheeri!
