Editorial Reviews
Jeff Clouser for Civil War Times Illustrated, October, 1998
"Expressive and evocative, Coleman's folksy voice suits the tales he tells . . ." "Perhaps the best tracks on Chantilly Remembrance are the spoken-word recordings. Accompanied by gentle background music, the words of Clara Barton, Walt Whitman, and other eloquent observers create a haunting chiaroscuro of Civil War vignettes."

Product Description
The historical memory which is the Civil War lives on in the consciousness of another age. Our heritage is marked in the searing imprint of courage, fear and dedication of a bygone era. It lingers hauntingly in their words and music. It lives, too, in the songs of today inspired by the Civil War and the men and women who fought it. Here is an echo from the past, bringing to life again the ordinary men and women who strode the blood-soaked earth of America not so many years ago.

5 out of 5 stars Mr. Coleman's Best so far.......2000-09-20

When I first listened to this CD I was spellbound!! I think that Mr. Coleman has captured the essence of the men who struggled and died on battlefields 140 years ago with total and complete reverence to their cause be it Northern or Southern. My favorite selection on this CD by far is his own Remember Chantilly, it brings to life a battle in which the U.S. lost two Major Generals, yet today the place of their passing is a "K-Mart" parking lot. I highly recommend this album to anyone who has an interest in the Greatest American Struggle.
