About the Artist
Ah! This voice! Robin Hackett. A singer-songwriter out of New York City. She has been compared to Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone, and Joni Mitchell. Robin recently was a performer in the world famous JVC Jazz Festival in New York City and last year was chosen to compete in the Lilith Fair Tour. She has opened up for Woodstock legend Richie Havens and Elektra recording artist Keb Mo. Her first solo CD was released in 1999 on MP3.com. By the end of the year her song "Sayin Goodbye" was chosen as the #1 Smooth Jazz song for 1999. She ranked #7 on the Rollingstone.com charts among other notables such as K.D. Lang, The Indigo Girls, and Emmylou Harris. Robin was featured on CNBC television and most recently was featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, PC Magazine, and Mac World Magazine.

5 out of 5 stars This CD is excellent.......2001-07-26

Robin Hackett's One Foot Barefoot CD is full of wonderful jazz vocals. Robin's voice is crisp and clear and the rhythm of the songs stays with you long after the CD is over. In fact, after listening to the CD only a few times, you'll find yourself humming the songs, almost without realizing it. I can't wait to hear more from this talented artist.
