This early Magical Strings album made a fair impression when it was released; I recall hearing it played quite frequently on the 'New Age'-oriented programs I listened to at that time. And for good reason: the harp and hammered dulcimer combination of Mr. and Mrs. Boulding produced a genuinely fresh and "positive" sound that they have since maintained. This one is still my favorite of the albums of theirs I know, but the others are equally good and equally representative. The material is both original and traditional in origin, though everything sounds pretty much as if it were fed through the same creative machine. Definitely recommended either for background, or for more involved listening.

This is the type of CD you can use for excellent background music when you're working, or to listen to carefully. Definitely worth recommending to others.
