Amazon.com essential recording
A poll-winning fiddler since her teens, Alison Krauss was an established bluegrass star when her label persuaded her to step out from her usual projects with Union Station, her crack band, and sanction this compilation of various band and solo guest performances. The ploy worked, yielding a wonderful, odds-beating crossover hit with Krauss's cover of "Baby, Now That I've Found You," a carousing late-'60s pop chant transformed into a delicate, vulnerable declaration of love. Focusing on Krauss's lovely, yearning soprano, the track elevated the musician above her resolutely democratic role in her quintet, catapulting Krauss to the biggest bluegrass success story in over 30 years. Krauss has stayed true to her bluegrass roots, as well as to Union Station, but this cross-section of contemporary bluegrass songs, joyous gospel, and canny rock covers testifies to the young artist's luminous appeal. --Sam Sutherland

Album Description
In the early days, when success was still a pipe dream, guitarist Chad Gilbert had to drop out of high school to focus on the band. Drummer Cyrus Bolooki, turned down a scholarship and a chance to follow in the footsteps of his father, who performed the first heart transplant in Florida. All the New Found Glory band members had to make sacrifices along the way to make their dream a reality. All this comes to mind on a recent sunny summer afternoon in San Diego when singer Jordan Pundik confidently calls their fifth album "the one that will stand the test of time." And then again a few days later when Gilbert declares, "We've never been happier with any other record."
"Coming Home" was even written differently. Rather than the usual tour bus and dressing room pow-wows, the band moved into a house together in Malibu called Morning View (where Incubus famously recorded their album of that name), where they sat around the living room and wrote the best songs of their lives. With Paul Miner of Death By Stereo and Warren Fitzgerald of the Vandals and Gwen Stefani's band overseeing the demos, it was like music camp, with a mission.
It only takes one listen to figure out the album opener "Oxygen" is about not being able to breathe without that special person. And the first single, "It's Not Your Fault," capturing the essence of young love and heartbreak with lyrics like, "There were rapid statements about life commitments, A Sense Of Heat, That I Couldn't Bare To Touch
"
Even the album's most poignant moment, and the one song not all about the girls, has a simple message. On the guitar-driven epic "When I Die," Gilbert addresses the 2004 death of his father. "There are always songs about death that are really sad, and this is an uplifting song that gives me strength."
When it came time to record, the band met with all the usual suspects, but decided on producer Thom Panunzio, an A&R veteran at Geffen who has recorded some of the biggest names in music history. "Because he's worked with Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, he brought this classic vibe to it, especially with the tones he got," Pundik says. "We learned we don't have to double-up 15 Mesa cabinets and make it all distorted to make it sound big."
Customer Reviews:
Still good and growing.........2007-07-29
Let me start by saying this is one of my all-time favorite bands. Since the early days I've been a fan. This album had some high expectations from me and I burned it, listened to it, then proceeded to literally throw it out the window of my car...pissed right off. But this is NFG so I calmed down and decided to give it another chance. How wrong I was! It is good stuff. Overall, a damn solid album but it's a few songs in particular that did it for me. They are "When I die", "Boulders" and the Title Track. Amazing songs by an amazing band. Catalyst was okay at best...but they really hit it here I feel...they are still growing and developing with every release and I look forward to the next.
Keep on Keeping On.......2007-05-24
NFG only gets better. I didn't think they could top Sticks and Stones but they did it.
I adore everything New Found Glory, however if you're touchy about the pitch of a singer's voice, maybe listen to a sample before impulse buying.
Big music without a lot of indistinguishable noise. Great album.
I saw them live........2007-04-12
And I was hooked.
End of story.
This album is a must have.
Awesome!!!.......2007-02-10
This was avery surprising album for NFG. It mixes pop, punk, and other influences to create very strong, dynamic songs. All songs are good on this album and it is probably my favorite NFG album. A great album. BUY IT!!!!
New Found Glory Continues.......2006-12-16
It would seem that New Found Glory continues to produce catchy pop-punk music but with a "more mature sound". I actual enjoy the "younger" New Found Glory sound with overdriven guitars and catchy choruses. The constant theme that seems to drive New Found Glory is relationships, the make-ups and break-ups. I can't put this record at the top of my list, however. So far, my favorite album is their self-titled. If I were to introduce NFG to a friend, that would be the first record I would turn to. Songs like "Dressed to Kill", "Hit or Miss", and "Sucker" embody what NFG grew from (in my opinion).
On Coming Home, expect some of the same NFG sound. Songs like "Hold my Hand" and "Oxygen" are good openers for the album. They are able to pull the listener in. I rate both high. The album continues strong with their single "It's not your fault", "On my mind", and "Coming Home".
Funny...all of which deal with...relationships. After those five, the album starts to struggle.
"Love and Pain", as well as "Connected" are in the NFG style. "When I Die" would have been a great track finisher but instead they chose "Boulders"--a slow ballad type song.
If you find them, "Over me", "Make it Right", "Golden", and "It's all around you" all should have made the album. They are more happy and upbeat than the chosen middle tracks.
I am not disappointed in the album, but it is not my favorite. I support NFG fully, and I am very big fan. However; I hope the 6th full length record will have more marketability.

Girl groups have enchanted humankind since the era of the ancient Greeks, when legend has it the Sirens attempted to lure wayfarers Odysseus and Jason to their fates; Persephone's chanteuses would eventually even lose a battle of the bands to the Muses. A couple millennia later, female singers would become a dominant force in the pop and rock of the `60s, the era anthologized on this four-disc, 120-track collection from Rhino. If the "group" tag is something of a misnomer (many of the acts here are solo artists), the vibrant female pop spirit of the times gets showcased in rare fashion by a collection that eschews the obvious to revel in showcasing rarities and surprises at every turn: the bittersweet, life-is-over-when "I'm 28" musings of a two-decades-pre-"Mickey" Toni Basil; a healthy sampling of gems by the Cookies and their various alter-egos, including the Palisades' fervent ode to uber-necking, "Make the Night Just a Little Bit Longer"; the Shangri-Las' mini-epic, "Out in the Streets"; hit songwriter Ellie Greenwich's solo turn on the haunting "You Don't Know." An impressive collection with an inclusive bent, its tracks range across the classic r&b of the Marvelettes, Chiffons and Irma Thomas, country-crossovers Skeeter Davis and Wanda Jackson, the blue-eyed soul of Jackie DeShannon and Dusty Springfield and wounded white-girl pop of Lesley Gore and Connie Francis. It's all contained in one of Rhino's most elaborately designed packages yet: each disc comes in a mock compact; its extensive liner notes and track info printed as a mini-diary; all housed in a smart replica of a vintage hat box--a treasure-packed delight for lovers of the genre and curious novices alike. -- Jerry McCulley
Album Description
It's the kiss that will be heard 'round the world: Rhino salutes the fabulous girl group genre with what is-amazingly and historically-the first boxed set ever to do so! This supersized collection luxuriates through almost five hours of the plethora of sounds, styles, and subjects that represent the beautiful, vibrant, and influential music women were making in the early to mid-60's. A footnote to the pop and rock of the day no longer, the raw emotion and spirited savvy of girl group greatness finally gets its due. Compilation producer Sheryl Farber notes, "Fans have always known how rich and varied this music is-how the sound encompasses soul, garage, Bacharach-style pop, countrypolitan, the British take on the American girl group sound, and more." Now the world will know and fall in love with girl group music too!
Customer Reviews:
More important than the bible.......2007-03-09
First, the downside: no Phil Spector. But, plenty of Shadow Morton and "wall-of-soundalikes." Decent mix of ballads and uptempo numbers. If you like the Detroit Cobras, come find all the originals here! Oh, and the booklet (hell, more of a book than a "-let") has got info on every song and every artist, plus pictures galore. The folks at Rhino continue to add to their superlative reputation for box sets and reissues. Buy or die!!!
Young, female, and unknown.......2007-02-24
ONE KISS CAN LEAD TO ANOTHER * GIRL GROUP SOUNDS LOST & FOUND is truly one one the most unique box sets ever issued. It's also definitely not for everybody, not even all fans of late '50s - early '60s AM radio stuff.
DESIGN:
Remarkable-- simply outstanding. A miniature heavy board glossy hatbox, complete with a sturdy pull string that holds the box lid in place-- inside are four CDs surrounded by gray foam. They're stored on plastic holders that are covered by hard-paper books. Each of these packages has silver paper inside the front cover, and the overall look is of four differently styled powder compacts. Also included is a luxurious 204-page book that sets the standard for all-time. The jewel case sized book, made from heavy stock semi-gloss paper is replete with studio and other photos, advertisement and 45 label repros, and some of the most detailed text ever.
CONTENT:
This is where not all will be interested in this set. It's ideal for the obscurity collector, but not necessarily the TOP 40 fan-- there's only a sprinkling of commonly known tunes here. A lot of these tracks are unknown for a good reason-- some aren't even 'B' side quality. A good percentage of artists in this collection are as obscure as the songs they perform, and for the familiar groups or vocalists, many of their songs may not ring a bell either. This collection is called "LOST AND FOUND" for a good reason.
TOTAL RUNNING TIMES --
DISC ONE -- 77:34
DISC TWO -- 76:19

Superb Overview Of The Girll Group Era.......2007-02-19
With this superb collection of some hits, and many misses during the 'girl group' era that really stretched between 1960 to 1969. The sound pretty much peaked in 1965 while the British Invasion more or less took over the American Top 40 charts, replacing teen anguish and a woman's point of view of growing up in love to what men really wanted to say. That is actually a flip-flop of what men were saying before the 'girls' had their turn, when Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Fabian, and other male teen idols dominated the charts. So, in essence, it was the 'girls' turn after male teen idols were growing older, and the girls had to give some answers.
This set, which is highly imaginative in packaging, includes some rather rare tracks that one would at times would need to find the original 45 release to get in order to hear.
I won't dwell on the obvious tracks here, like by the Shangri-Las, Darnells, Chris Clark, etc., but a few are worth the price of the whole.
My favorite is the contribution by Dolly Parton, "Don't Drop Out". Her voice seems so appropriate, but as we know which direction she chose, this track is one of the best unheard of gems, which is sad, as it should have done something.
Another classic is the 'stereo' version of Alder Ray's "Cause I Love Him", which in sound is alot different than the mono 45 version I possess. Crystal clear in sound, it still packs a punch.
One last great track that this package includes is Reparata & The Delron's "I'm Nobody's Baby Now". This track literally jumps out and bites. Not a Phil Spector sound-alike in intention, but does have a Righteous Brothers "Lovin' Feelin'" to it. Again, another clear and clean production.
I will say that with any package, there will be a few tracks that seriously should have been omitted, like "Egyptian Shumba" by The Tammys, which could have been replaced by another rarity that is not included, like Suzy Walli's "Be My Man" a powerful David Gates production from 1965, but everyone has different tastes. I for one admit that despite the few clunkers, this package is an excellent example of a time when girl groups and girl singers were everywhere.
Consider the fact that about 200 singles were released a week, and only a handful were graced on the Pop Charts. There are bound to be many that are excellent songs, but without the proper advertising, radio play, and touring, the obvious would happen. A good single that bombs.
One of my favorite artists is included, April Young. A shame that this package only inlcuded one track, "To Be Loved By You". It is a good song, but her energetic and rather forceful "Gonna Make Him My Baby" still sounds fresh.
Maybe in time Rhino will release a companion to this set. Sure, there are literally thousands of girl group records that were released in the 60's, like Marcia Strassman's "Out Of The Picture". Who's she? She later played the wife of Mr Kotter in 'Welcome Back Kotter", or "He's My Dreamboy" by Maria Antoinette, and other great girls like Beverly Warren, Roberta Day, Candy & The Kisses, The Joys, The Gleams, Carol Connors, etc. Can go on and on, but this package is worth the price, even to the most infrequent listener of the 'girl group' genre.
There are 4 cd's, so my advice is to just take a lazy afternoon, and while listening to the tracks, read the diary that is supplied. It's a good read, and at times rather refreshing, especially the rare pictures and even the pictures of the rare labels that sometimes one has never seen before.
Like i said, this package is worth the price.
Outstanding!.......2007-01-16
I'm a fanatic for the sound of the girl groups of the early 1960s.
Before it goes out of print, you need to pick up this incredible Rhino box
set.
One little problem is that Rhino's definition of "girl group" was too broad; some songs are female solo recordings on which backup singers play little or no role. And in an apparent attempt to appeal to the British market, they put on some British songs by people such as Cilla Black. The English had no handle on the girl-group sound at all; it was strictly an American phenomenon.
But with four CDs and 30 songs on each CD, who can complain? Some songs, such as several Shangri-Las rip-offs, are hilarious. Then
there's one called "He Makes Me So Mad" by the Hollywood Jills on which the lead singer is reciting her complaints about her boyfriend, and after each gripe the rest of the group comes in with a sarcastic reply. Example: "He told the gang that I swim raw." The reply: "Well, don't you?" Classic!
There's a great Wall of Sound-type song called "Bobby's Come a Long Long Way," produced by Al Kooper. I can't make out any of the lyrics, but
supposedly the song is about Bob Dylan!
You won't regret buying this box.
SIMPLY BRILLIANT!.......2007-01-04
Who ever thought of this, is a GENIOUS! There's so much good stuff in here it's like an overdose of REAL GOOD music. So many great female groups in here, like the Supremes (of the 60's), Reparata & the Delrons, the Marvelettes, Goldie and the Gingerbreads, the Lovelites, the Blossoms (I love their harmonies), and on, and on, and on. GREAT stuff! you wont be dissapointed.

Album Description
Lost And Found is the third album from American metallersMudvayne. This release steers away from the nu-metal scene that they became part of and sees the band mix metal with more commercial sounding rock. It was produced by Ugly Kid Joe's Dave Fortman.

good.......2007-07-24
This as a good album. one of their best if i say. just a good supply of metal, just how we like it.
Yeah, they've evolved, but so what? They still write good music........2007-04-13
To all the haters out there that can't get over the fact that this is not the LD 50 era Mudvayne anymore, grow up. In my opinion, they have not sold out, but are just making the music they feel like making. What rules are there that they have to make the same album over and over or never make adjustments to their sound. LD 50 was on the extreme end of things for them, and each album has taken on a slightly less angry approach. These guys are talented musicians, and as long as they keep making albums, I'll be buying them, because I know how much they love what they do, and they won't let me down. Is this album more mainstream? No. The only song that could be considered somewhat mainstream is "Happy?". And what is wrong with making a living? Having one song that can be a crossover hit allows them to keep doing what they are doing.
I still love LD 50 the best, and had the most fun with that album, but I can't say that I am disappointed with their newer albums. They all offer something different, and that keeps things interesting.
BEST HARD ROCK ALBUM EVER!.......2007-04-09
Mudvayne is the best hard rock band ever! Less of alternative metal/ nu metal and more into hard rock! A kick in the a**! How could someone or anyone say that this album sucks? You might not like this band if ur an extreme metalhead, but you'll be in love with this band if you're a rock fan.
Best tracks:
"Determined" 12/10- Man I love this song! Just the way I like it........
short and sweet.
"Happy?" 10/10- This song is more into hard rock. Good chorus and love the ending.
"IMN" 12/10- Now this song is the darkest and angriest song ever! The beginning was all silent and out came some guitars and Chad's screaming and swearing. LOVE IT!!
"Choices" 10/10- Very thick, heavy guitars at the beginning, love the chorus and Chad's singing here. Love when Chad sings "we don't have a choice, anymore, anyways".
"Forgot To Remember" 10/10- Good beginning with Chad's soft singing, love the screaming part, the chorus and the ending.
"Just" 12/10- Now who doesn't like this song?!! Awesome, great beginning. Started with thick guitars along with good drumming and then out came Chad's vocals. Just love how Chad sang here, so angry too!
Chad is the world's best singer ever! With clean vocals that go along with hard rock and screaming that go with alternative metal, just love it!
I would prefer not buying this album, just listen to it in youtube and wait for their new album coming out around the end of 2007! Nice job, boys!
Not so great.......2007-04-07
Not really a great cd, Only has about 2 good songs on here
Garbage.......2007-02-26
Don't bother with this band. They are sellouts, they write bad music that sounds like just about everything else, being from Peoria, IL, I can say that they went out there with a look and sound to get themselves noticed, then once they hit it they took a turn for the worst just to become rich and famous like everyone else. There is nothing special about their music. And maybe you have heard of Hell Yeah! the new project featuring members of Mudvayne, well, you owe it to yourselves not to check it out, unless you like Mudvayne. It's the same old garbage.

Fantastically Wonderful Album.......2007-04-20
Singer/songwriter Griffin House provides a fantastic album full of outstanding lyrics and musical sounds. He does not disappoint. Have had this album since it first came out and I never tire of listening, with each listen I find something different that stands out and captures me.
Soothing and funny..........2007-04-11
I bought the CD with some apprehension as my taste of music is very variable. I must say that I was hooked on to the songs immediately. All the songs are gentle and melodious and articulate well. Some of the songs are quite funny.
Would surely recommend it ...
Another album you can pick confidently.......2007-01-25
I bought this album, along with one from Matt Nathanson and Amos Lee by following links here of what people bought when buying other albums in the same genre.
Well, I can say this album is really, really good. Along with Matt Nathanson and Amos Lee, those cds can play in my cd player forever on repeat and after a few hours I just start thinking "hey it's still the same cd in".
Yes it's that good and smooth. No track where you want to skip to the next, they're all good.
(yes I used the same review for Matt since both are in the same genre and as good)
A real gem.......2006-11-07
I have been listening to this cd for almost a year now and finally had a chance to see Griffin perform.
He is awesome.
He has his own style and plays for the music. His lyrics are powerful and moving... I got goosebumps on more than one occassion.
Buy it, listen to it, you'll love it.
Great CD, but kind of an acquired taste...........2006-04-20
I heard of this on CBS Sunday Morning and went out immediately and bought it. I just thought it was OK at first listen. After owning it for a couple months I pulled it out again and the more I listen to it the more appreciation I have for it. It's right up there near the top of my list for favorites.
Give it a listen (or two, maybe three) before you judge it.

An Classic Album, In My Eyes And Heart! (pure greatness!!!).......2007-04-05
I very well rember the year of 2004! Not for only the sadness and pain that i felt, from when i heard that dime was shot to death on stage, but more so for the fact that 04 was one of thoes great years that just had great album releses, from so many fantastic metal group's like for example: Mastodon, grave, Ancent,Immortal Souls(Witch is one far my fav. death metal groups of ALL TIME!!)Megadeth, Black Lable Society,ect... And this never to be forgotened album "NEW FOUND POWER" album by such an fantastic band altogether! Realley such an perfect name for an album in general! I rember in that year when i was 17, I'm 20 years of age now!)buying that album when it first came out, and listened to that album in it's full entiertiy, and enjoying every song on the album, and then thinking to myself.. WOW! WHAT AN FU**ING! KICK-A** CD THIS IS! And then sensing that metal music history, Was beaning born. But like Pantera, the musicanship of this band DAMAGEPLAN! IS AT IT'S EXCELLENCE!To me thats what makes an album an classic, is when everyone enjoys it, and all the songs rip from start-finish! So with all that said, and all things to consider, this is an must have for any fan, thats an fan of real metal, cause this is real metal music! And not that pussy stuff that you would hear now in this year! But Anyways! HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!!
A Great metal band....Damageplan New Found Power (Elektra).......2007-01-28
I got this album right after its release date and immediately thought it was a great album and still is. On here Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul have turned the page on the past (Pantera/Phil),bring in a new lead singer,Pat Lachman and new bass guitarist, Bob Zilla, and a lighter/less aggressive new direction metal album than their previous efforts. The results are pure metal and has a lot songs that have hooks and are catchy. This new lead singer Pat Lachman reminds totally of Brad Divens the lead singer of a great metal band(s) Wrathchild America and Souls At Zero; in which they changed their name to in 1993. Yes, vocally Pat does different vocals ,because the music is a little different, but actually Damageplan sound pretty similar to Wrathchild America in a 2000's era sound. Bob Zilla does a fine job on bass guitar and is solid at his position. An example of this is the song Crawl etc. Musically every song on this album is awesome and flows very well. Though the only song on here that does not really do it for me is F#@& You. It just sounds like it does not belong and the title I could definitely do without....they should of come up with something more thought out than that. After saying all that it is still not a bad song though. My personal favorite songs are New Found Power,Reborn,Save Me,Cold Blooded,Crawl,Blink of an Eye,and Moment of Truth. As a whole though all songs are great like stated earlier. Dimebag Darrell's solos are less on here than previous work with his former band Pantera and to me he does awesome job for the song structures of Damageplan. The same is true with drummer Vinnie Paul. It is ashame that we mostly likely will never hear anything from Damageplan, because of the events everyone is well aware of (R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell). This is a must for metal fans to add to your collection.
Rebel Meets Rebel is a Better Token of Dime.......2006-12-14
If you are a huge fan of Pantera like me and you want to check out more work from one of the greatest gitar players that ever lived, go with REBEL MEETS REBEL. Its got that Pantera beat and riffs to it but with a slight country twang. David Allan Coe (singer of Rebel Meets Rebel) is probably one of the most underappreciated songwriters ever. As much as I wanted to love DamagePlan, it still kinda sucks. If I didn't know who was in the band and heard it, I would have wondered why they got signed.
Disappointed with it overall.......2006-08-09
As much as I loved Dime's guitar work, Vinnie's kickass drumming and Patrick's work with Halford on his solo releases this cd was a big disappointment.
It has about 5 really good songs on it. Pride, Save Me and Cold Blooded really stand out and the rest are pretty much filler. Lot's of growling and little groove to the song structure. Pantera always had a nasty groove to it's music and this is lacking that big time. The music just seems to be missing something and has no direction at all really?
It's to bad as Dime was a great player and his brother was equally as awesome behind the drum kit. That moron who shot dime took away not just Dime's playing, but his brothers as well as Vinnie has yet to fully recover from such a tragedy.
If you need a Dime fix, check out Rebel Meets Rebel!! It's got that Pantera grind and it's funny as hell. It's a great way to remember a great guy and a great guitar player and was a great parting gift to us his fans!
R.I.P Dime!
Damageplan - New Found Power.......2006-05-26
After Pantera went their separate ways in 2001, Vinnie Paul Abbot and the late Dimebag Darrel Abbot went on to form Damageplan and this CD "New Found Power" was the first CD of the unfortunately short lived venture by the Abbot brothers. From reel to reel, this is a great album (and again, I'm not just saying that because it's the right thing to say about Dime but SERIOUSLY, it's great).
Just like the rest of you, I would consider myself a Pantera purist first for several reasons. Dime was the reason I stopped playing guitar in Grunge bands and graduated to the sophisticated Metal that bands like Pantera made famous. Damageplan doesn't follow the same stylings as Pantera but the direction of this group was still very good. This CD may not be as heavy as Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display of Power or even Far Beyond Driven but nonetheless, the music is artistically sound and Dime and Vinnie show their technical prowess as well.
There aren't as many guitar solos on this but the ones that are on here are classic Dime. The bass lines are also very heavy, almost Korn like in a way on some tracks. And vocalist Pat Lachman reminds me of a younger Max Cavalera (of Sepultura and Soulfly) who can still croon like Layne Staley on some of the slower tunes. I think one mistake people make when they get this album is that they spend too much time comparing Lachman to Phil Anselmo. Well, DON'T! You're wasting your time if you're doing it that way. If you ask me, Lachman helps Damageplan be a little more unique.
I highly suggest this album. It doesn't matter if you're the avid metal head or a newcomer or even a true Pantera fan. This is an album for all to enjoy. I'll admit, there aren't many metal albums that I can listen to all the way through without skipping any tracks (my list of albums like that are Slayer "Reign in Blood", Slipknot "Slipknot", Pantera "Vulgar Display of Power", Anthrax "Persistence of Time", Soulfly "Soulfly" and System of a Down "Toxicity"), I can now easily add this album to my list. Also, check out the other albums and artists I've listed.

For right-minded buyers of the reissued Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack, the odds of disappointment are about as remote as Miss Piggy's chances with Kermit. If you loved the movie, you will love the loopy mayhem of the Muppet Brass Buskers ("Good King Wenceslas"), the cartoonish malice of the black-hearted misanthropes Marley & Marley ("Marley & Marley"), and the hope-swollen harmonies of Tiny Tim and Family ("Bless Us All"), Muppeted here to hilariously humble effect. If, on the other hand, your interest in this disc has more to do with its inclusion in the way-narrow Christmas-record-for-kids category--if the spirit of the season doesn't extend, for you, to the magic of the Muppets--you may want to keep browsing, as it's a soundtrack first (overture, instrumentals, and all) and a Christmas CD second. That's not to suggest you're stuck with an un-fun disc should it land on your holiday stack without a prior screening, though. Miles Goodman's score sweeps and inspires, and certain tracks--"One More Sleep 'til Christmas" and "Fozziwig's Party"--are future classics. (Note to the right-minded: After a misstep on the original release, Martina McBride's version of "When Love is Gone" is back.) -Tammy La Gorce

Finally released.......2007-05-23
If your Christmas isn't complete without listening to this music, this CD is a must buy. The audio quality is excellent despite the age of the film. Michael Cain and Belle come out crystal clear in their solo and ensemble work. The surprise of this album is the inclusion of two tracks (one by Beaker and Bunson and one by Scrogge's primary school teacher) that are not in the film. They are fun but unexpected. I could only ask that the CD last longer with such beautiful traditional music, but alas there is no more music to include. Maybe they could market Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island together in the future?
Good CD.......2007-02-14
My wife has been looking for this soundtrack for years. We were very happy to find it and get it so fast. This has some of the best music ever written for a movie.
the muppet christmas carol cd.......2007-01-19
Amazing the songs are so cleaver and i have bee waiting for this for a long time, it has been out of print great cd and the movie is so awesome!!
Holiday Classic with Kermit , Miss Piggy, and Michael Caine.......2007-01-12
The score from The Muppet Christmas Carol is full of the spirit of Christmas. The familiar story by Dicken's is given new life with the great score (mostly written by Paul Williams). Great energy is relayed to the listener as Scrooge (Michael Caine)is painted in words and as Bob Cratchet (Kermit the Frog) sings with his co-workers 'One More Sleep 'Til Christmas'. The love song duet between Scrooge (Michael Caine) and his fiancee during a ghostly vision brings great pathos to the character. For lovers of the Muppets and or Dickens, there is no better way to enter into the spirit of the season.
Awesome.......2007-01-08
These are some of the most heartwarming songs. I even find myself singing the ones about poor Mr. Scrooge.

Sticks and Stones, the third record from Florida emo-punkers New Found Glory, might wear its broken heart on its sleeve, but that doesn't mean it has to pretend to be mature. No, Blink-182's first choice of opening band have a firm grasp of the puerile: Sticks and Stones churns out dumb punk thrills at such a breakneck pace, you'd swear they were going out of fashion. The chugging "It's Been a Summer" does Blink as well as Travis, Mark, and Tom do themselves, while "Head-On Collision" displays the group's tender emo side, frontman Jordan Pundik smarting at a vicious relationship spat. "It feels like I'm bruised and broken / From our head-on collision," he sobs, as guitars crunch and blunder madly in the background. Thing is, although some of the tunes are spot on--particularly, the lovestruck "My Friend's Over You" and the moshpit-friendly "Something I Call Personality"--there's little to radically distinguish New Found Glory from their peers. If you're a diehard pop-punk fan, you've probably got records like this--and better--in your collection already. --Louis Pattison
Customer Reviews:
A tale of two CDs.......2006-08-05
before the emo/punk (if you can call it that) boom of 2004, there were still bands, such as New Found Glory, interested in writing simple catchy songs over crunching guitars in the vein of Green Day and Blink182 (before every band, including NFG, started inserting every hardcore and metal cliche in the book).
This music is not incredibly original, but "Sticks and Stones" is very likable and does a fine job honoring the pop-punk tradition. Unfortunately the second half of the disc cannot keep pace with the first half. After "Forget My Name", one figures that if the band can keep this up for five more songs, "Sticks and Stones" becomes a classic. Starting with the fast, crackling, opener "Understatement", the first single "My Friends Over You" and the pinnacle "Forget My Name", the first half rolls along with a great, exciting pace and energy. But, then comes the caveat. With the exception of "Story So Far", the second half pales in comparison with the first half, as you can see and hear the creative juices of New Found Glory running short in the final five songs.
However, the first seven songs are enough to earn this CD four stars (really more like 3.5) as well as making it worth a buy, seeing as you can probably get it for fairly cheap. Pick it up for 11 bucks and you'll get your money's worth
This is all getting out of hand.......2006-07-28
Punk is not about listening to bands like the MIsfits and T.S.O.L and other old punk bands. Punk is about not following the crowd and doing stuff your own way and not letting other people get in the way of your own intrests. SO technically if the pop punk listeners listened to all those idiots telling people to listen to old school punk then they would actually become something their not
Anyway this happens to be a great cd. Very differant from Nothing gold can stay and All about a girl. JOrdan's voice obviously was polished in some way. The instrumentals are actually very similar to the sound of their two first cd's.
Now i guess I am going to review each cd.
Understatment 5/5 An incredibly catchy song that doens't get old very fast. This song will please most NFG fans.
My Friends over you 4/5 Most people will adore this song until about a week after they hear it when this song gets very annoying.
Sonny. 4.5/5 This song has very creative lyrics and a very interesting story.
SOmething I call Personality. 3/5 A song that most people will enjoy but it just doesn't do it for me
Head on Collision. 4/5 Pretty much the same story as My Friends Over you.
It's been a Summer 5/5 Starts with a very catchy riff and stays like that for the whole song.
Forget my Name. 4.5/5 Very good lyrics.
Never Give up 4.5/5 A song that can cheer anyone up
The Great Houdini 5/5 Really catchy
Singled Out. 5/5 Defienntly my favorite on the cd.
Belated. 2.5/5 Pretty good lyrics but just doesn't have the thing that makes te other songs so great
The Story So Far. 5/5 Great finisher
Overall 52/60 A great effort
Best NFG Album!.......2006-03-07
These are how I rate the songs-
Understatement- Possibly the best opener ever 5/5
My Friends Over You- A really good song but if you listen to it more than two times in a hour time period it gets annoying. 4/5
Sonny- Nice, Calm and Melodic but possibly the worst song on the album. 2.5/5
Something I call Personality- Really fast and cool it almost makes listening to "Sonny" worthwhile. 4/5
Head on Collision- Their greatest slow song ever. 4/5
It's Been a Summer- Really catchy to listen to and it will never get annoying even if you listen to it one-hundred times! 4.5/5
Forget My Name- This song kinda' reminds me of Sum 41, and that is a good thing a really good thing. But it can be really sad if you really listen hard to the lyrics. 4/5
Never Give Up- This song is a little more hopeful than "Forget My Name" and I think everyone can enjoy it. 3.5/5
The Great Houdini- Has nothing to do with Harry Houdini and so I say WTF!!! 3/5
Singled Out- I like the techno beginning alot and the rest also rules. It is the best song on the album next to "Understatement." 5/5
Belated- Sorta' sucks but in its own way it is good. In other words it sounds like a Simple Plan song and that is a put down. 3/5
The Story So Far- Cool song very awesome except for that P.O.C hidden track. Get rid of the hidden track and you have a winner! With hidden tack loser! Keep the Hidden Track, 0.5/5
Without, 5/5
Possibly the greatest punk album ever.
pretty good stuff.......2006-02-28
I am rather new to New Found Glory and, not being a huge fan of this genre of music, was pleasantly surprised.I own both this and Nothing Gold Can Stay and this is the better of the two in my opinion. I also know that one of the members used to be in a band called Shai Hulud, and old metalcore band that I'm a fan of. Check them out, broaden your musical interests. That's what I did with this cd and it turned out fairly well. 4 stars.
A slight decline.......2006-01-23
New Found Glory is one of the oldest of the current pop punk bands. Their self titled album was hands down their crowning achievement, bursting with catchy and well written songs for their mostly teenage audience. This album kind of carries over, possessing much of the same drive, but lacking a little bit of each of the elements that made their last album so great.
Understatement starts the album off with a roar. This is actually my favorite song of theirs ever. It is well written, it is catchy, it is fast and loud, and it is pretty much amazing. My Friends Over You is slightly overrated, but I was at one time obsessed with it. It is certainly pretty damn catchy. Sonny is a slow and catcy song about losing someone. Something I Call Personality is a slightly overdone song. By the sound of it, you expect something assaulting, but it doesn't really pick up in any of the right places, and comes out seeming incomplete in some ways, overdone in others. Head on Collison is a good, but lyrically predictable song. Its Been a Summer was like a little mini crack addiction for me. I listened to that song for a good 2 or 3 weeks pretty much all the time. Trust me, it will find its way into your head.
Forget My Name is a great song, if not purely redeemed by the first 20 seconds. Jordan definitely has a good voice for hooking the listeners in. The next two songs are really where the album lags. They are OK, but mainly boring and uninteresting. The album would be MUCH better off just without them. Singled Out is a great song about a long relationship or friendship gone sour. Belated is another boring song which usually has me reaching for the seek button. The Story So Far is another good song. It is actually a little different than what they usually sound like, and it left me hoping for a musical evolution in the band for the next album (which, by the way, did NOT happen).
All in all, this album succeeds in putting out a pretty good pop punk album. A few amazing songs, a handful of decent ones, and a few stinkers. If you are looking for a good cd to listen to these guys, i would suggest their self titled album. If you listened to that and what the next best, definitely go with this one. Definitely worth a try

Pretty Good.......2006-06-09
Ok this CD is alright. Not as good compared to their other CDs. I hate Behind the Screams, its so pointless. All it is is an acoustic guitar strumming slowly. Personally, I like fast music, slow stuff just bores me. Thats why this CD isnt as good, the songs are slower. My personal favorites are As The Tables Turn and Sniped because their the fastest. This CD is good enough to buy though I believe.
A logical progression from IDR.......2006-05-26
Nobody should be surprised that CKY's third album is excellent. "An Answer Can Be Found" marks another evolution in the song writing prowess of Deron Miller. As a seven-year fan of the band, I've grown to eagerly anticipate hearing each new addition to the catalog of the hardest working frontman in rock music.
I truly believe that CKY would never release an album if it was not a significant improvement over the preceeding collection--indeed, they never have. On all fronts, AACBF tops IDR (itself being "Volume 1" to another level). Chad Ginsburg's production verges on prodigious. A great ear coupled with a meticulous dedication to his craft yields something of a soundscape experience.
Jess Margera's drumming perfectly complements the music. He gets more technical on AACBF, but still doesn't overplay, show-off or try to draw attention to himself.
This record doesn't fade out or get boring--quite the opposite, actually. The saccharine appeal of AACBF, like the band's two previous albums, is a taste acquired.
Buy it and let it play through on your car stereo a few times a week. Eventually you'll need a daily fix.

This is my favorite CD! All the songs are great. My most favorite song is song #10! SNIPED! This is a VERY heavy song! I'm a heavy metal kind of guy and if you're like me, you'll love this song too. I reccomend this CD to anyone!

I have had this album for a while now but I just decided to write a review on it. I was happy that CKY had a new album out, so I bought it. It was awesome. There are a lot of guitar solos on this album, which is good in a way. I enjoy almost every track on this album.
1. Suddenly Tragic: 5/5. This song is very catchy, and the solo is pretty cool.
2. The Way You Lived: 3/5. This is pretty catchy, but it's also quite slow. But it's still okay.
3. Dressed in Decay: 5/5. I like this song a lot. I didn't really like it unitl I actually took the time to listen to it.
4. Familiar Realm: 5/5. This was the first single off of this album. It's very good, catchy, and I think some people can relate to the lyrics.
5. All Power To Slaves: 5/5. This is one of the best songs on the album. I love the solo. The whole song is really catchy.
6. Tripled Manic State: 5/5. This song is also one of my favorites on the album. It is so catchy and what makes it different from other songs is that the verses are fast and the chorus is slow. Usually a verse is slower than the chorus. But whatever. It's a great song.
7. Behind the Screams: 5/5. This is a classical style melody with no drums or anything. It is all instrumental. This is very peaceful and relaxing.
8. Deceit is Striking Gold: 4/5. I like the intro to this song. The intro sounds familiar but I don't remember where I heard it before. But it's a great song.
9. As the Tables Turn: 4/5. This song is awesome. I didn't really appreciate it until I heard it from start to finish. My only complaint is that the guitar solo doesn't really fit the rest of the song.
10. Sniped: 2/5. This is by far the heaviest song on the entire album. I had no idea what Deron was growling. But I guess it's okay if you like heavier stuff.
11. Don't Hold Your Breath: 3/5. This is a nice slow song. It's no "Close Yet Far", but I still like it.
So, buy this album because it is one of CKY's best.
