Try Try Try

This cd intoxicates from the first touch. How can such organic sound spring forth from an electronic device (my cd player)? The instrumentation is unmistakably African, yet unlike any African music I've ever encountered. Wanaku, the Tribal Monk (who?) has tapped a truly original source & has blessed the world with this promise of hope. Thankfully, the liner notes contain lyrics, illuminating Wanaku's desire for us to 'Try, try, try to do good" and "God's time's best, don't worry about tomorrow." And his rendition of the classic, Malika (Angel) is stunning.

This powerful, universal message drifts sublimely on a gentle tapestry of lovely instrumentation & Wanaku's easy vocals. I play it and people say, "WHO IS THIS? Where is he from? Where can I get it?"

Try it. Try it. Try it.
