About the Artist
Jonathan Kligler is the rabbi of Kehillat Lev Shalem - The Woodstock Jewish Congregation, and a multi-talented singer and performer. He has a new recording "Come, My Friend: Songs and Blessing for Shabbat" also released on Sister Z Music.

On December 7, 1997 at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation I offered a concert entitled "Songs of Love, Hope and Courage". Several of the songs benefitted from the wonderful musical accompaniment of Zoe B. Zak and Geoff Miller. Here is the live recording of that lovely evening, produced by Zoe B. Zak. I am thrilled to share it with you. I chose to sing songs that move and inspire me, and I hope that they move and inspire you. Here's to love, hope, and courage!

I have given numerous copies of the book as a gift to all my friends who are first-time grandmothers to give to their new grandchid and was unaware of the music that now can accompany the book. I love it! Such wonderful positive messages and great sing along - not only for children, but for adults too. I bought one CD for my grandchildren and then ordered five more for gifts for adults and children. If everyone grew up listening to these messages how wonderful it would be!

This CD is wonderful. There is such a great mixture of styles and everyone can enjoy it! I actually cried because it was so beautiful...and I'm not a mushy kind of gal!! It's a must-have no matter if you have/work with children or not.

This CD will entertain and stimulate you and your child for years to come. The melodies are captivating, and the rhythms are so enticing they will get your feet tapping and your hands clapping. The Twelve Gifts of Birth is a wonderful CD for all ages!

As a music educator, I highly recommend this CD and the book that it is based on. The music is powerful and inspirational, and it is easy for youth and adults to sing along together. It would be wonderful to have more quality music CD's such as this one...to replace the tired Raffi and other pop culture children's music icons.
