Editorial Reviews
Luigi Ranalli - Italy
THE SUNDIAL is a lightly syncopated but infectious rag, a great folk rag.

Product Description
The first CD of PIANO RAGS released by JON Weaver III on the STARGOLD MUSIC Label is a selection of NASHVILLE RAGS published in Nashville, Tennessee shortly after the 1897 Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition was held in Nashville, Tennessee celebrating Tennessee's 100th year of statehood. JON personifies this era and his interest in the happy frolicking, syncopated rhythms of the ragtime idiom. The recordings are designed to give the listener a sample of the unrecorded sounds of the early Twentieth Century music that later led to the early jazz of TIN PAN ALLEY . . . Publisher, Fay Benson Weaver says, "DOG GONE is an 1897 "deja vu" in ragtime" . . . Songs include: THAT DOG GONE RAG - A COON SERENADE - NASHVILLE JON PLAYS JOPLIN - THE DEVILISH RAG - A TENNNESSEE TANTALIZER - EVERYBODY PLAYING THAT CHICAGO RAG - COTTON BOLLS - THE SUNDIAL - A TENNESSEE JUBLIEE - WHITTLING REMUS - TICKLED TO DEATH - MANDY'S BROADWAY STROLL - POSSUM AND TATERS - WHEN YOU DANCE THAT LOVIN' RAG ***NOTE NASHVILLE JON PLAYS JOPLIN and THE SUNDIAL are not original NASHVILLE RAGS.Music Review:
