...an exuberant joy of an album... Taraz's voice is richly engaging... a fine addition to any folk lover's library.
Product Description
Songs new and old, bursting with life. The title track celebrates the univeral pulse that marks our fleeting time on earth. Taraz sets Dylan Thomas' "Fern Hill" and Longfellow's "The Children's Hour" to transcendent melodies. "The Sea-Serpent of Cape Ann" presents New England's version of the Loch Ness monster and muses on why the creature hasn't been spotted lately. "The Wreck of the Caspian" is based on a true story of a shipwreck off the Florida Keys in 1857, in which a resourceful mother saves the ship's company by using a ball of twine and a little dog. (You can't make stuff like this up!) We visit old Quebec as Taraz weaves together French and her own English translations, and the album also includes a Scottish lullaby, Taraz's unique interpretation of the Irish classic "Eileen Aroon," and the rollicking "Froggie Went a-Courtin'."

For Eric Carmen fans only.......2007-08-01
After producing four stellar albums of rockin' power pop with the Raspberries, Eric Carmen decided to go solo in 1975, releasing the album ERIC CARMEN. Easily his best work, it contained three top 40 hits, but also contained some warning signs of things to come. The long, middle section of "All By Myself" and the show tune-esque "Great Expectations" saw Carmen straying farther away from his rock n' roll past and closer to the middle of the road.
The two albums on this CD were relased in 1977 and 1978 as his second and third solo records. BOATS AGAINST THE CURRENT leans heavy on the ballads, but is also a good showcase of Eric's fine piano playing. Burton Cummings of the Guess Who actually guests on a few tracks, most prominently "Marathon Man." Eric plays a variety of instruments, including drums on at least one track. The lone rocker, "Take it Or Leave It" is decent, but sounds oddly out of place amongst all the mellower material.
Although CHANGE OF HEART does contain a couple of ballads, it's much more of an upbeat record. The production is dated, but it was 1978, so certain songs have a disco feel, especially his cover of the Four Tops' "Baby I Need Your Lovin". "End of the World" and "Haven't We Come a Long Way" are good album cuts. Strangely, several of the tracks were actually leftover from the BOATS sessions, including one of the best songs on the record, "Someday" which was originally the b-side of "She Did It" from BOATS.
If you're a big fan of Carmen's work, it will be great to finally get these songs on CD. But, if you're just a casual fan, seek out ERIC CARMEN THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION, which gives an excellent overview of his career, including early cuts from the Raspberries and Eric's later hit from Dirty Dancing.
American Beat lets keep them coming!!.......2007-07-23
It is really great to get these two Eric Carmen releases on a single cd. I have always been a big fan of Eric Carmen. There are a few Greatest hits cd releases available but his solo stuff is very rare. There are a couple of hits here but the other songs are great as well. I hope American Beat will continue to dig into the vaults for more of Eric's solo work.
Eric's 2nd and 3rd Solo Effort's Released.......2007-07-20
If you were an Eric Carmen fan, you probably enjoyed his 1977 lp, "Boats Against the Current", and his 1978 release, "Change of Heart". Both are decent albums but certainly not up to the standard of his 1976 lp, "ERIC CARMEN", featuring the classic hits, "All By Myself" and "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again". The medium hit, "Sunrise" was also on that album.
A new CD company to me, AMERICAN BEAT, has released Eric's second and third albums on one disc. Both these albums had one respectable hit (each). "SHE DID IT" from "Boats" and "CHANGE OF HEART" from the Same titled album. "Boats Against the Current" was a tiny hit around the end of 1977.
To my knowledge, these albums have not been released before in the U.S. (I know you could buy expensive Japanese imports years ago, but at 35 minutes per lp, that was robbery!) The CD quality is decent, but not extraordinary.
The music is pleasant but not Eric's best. However, for the price and the scarcity of these records, I'd recommend this purchase if you are a fan of Carmen or even a seventies easy-listening fan. If you are satisfied with the big hits, I'd recommend one of Eric's compilations. He had one out on ARISTA five or six years ago which even included several of his hits with the Raspberries. That compilation is excellent!! The best songs from this two-fer CD are on the best of compilation. I give this a four star rating for the price and the availability of two long since forgotten albums of the late 70's. I hope to see some more rare re-issues!!!

Fantastic Recording Quality.......2007-02-25
This was a great record when it originally came out and is a great CD. Pick it up while you can get it. The recording quality is absolutely outstanding. If you like early to mid 80's rock, this is a must have in your collection.
Forgotten Classic.......2006-06-20
DRIVER'S SEAT is easily one of the greatest 100 rock 'n roll songs songs EVER and certainly in the Top 10 of forgotten tracks. The CD would be worth getting DRIVER'S SEAT alone but unlike some other "one-hit wonders"*, this LP/CD is not full of fillers but instead offer up a fine collection of new wave/alternative rock tunes with plenty of excellent tracks. Every rock 'n roll fan should have this CD in their collection.

Customer Reviews:
Pure beauty.......2005-09-06
Ever since Charlotte Church turned into a tabloids' darling and a wannabe pop star, there's been a gap opened for a young, sweet-faced soprano. The best bet on filling it seems to be Hayley Westenra, a young singer/dancer from New Zealand.
The result: "Pure," an album that is reminiscent of early Sarah Brightman, back when she did folk songs and showtunes. Westenra sticks close to her classical sound with songs like the delicate "In Trutina" and the traditional New Zealand song "Pokarekare Ana," which is rendered with the backing of a a rather muddled male chorus and some swelling strings.
However, Westenra doesn't neglect more modern songs, and she does well in classical pop as well as straightforward classical. The big difference seems to be a bit of synth and a delicate guitar melody, in songs like the charming "Beat of Your Heart" and dreamy "Why Painted the Moon Black?" It's a smooth, thoroughly sweet crossover effect.
Westenra also eschews the usual round of classical-pop songs, like "Nella Fantasia." I love that song, but it's been done so many times. Instead, she opts for Maori lullabies, Vivaldi ballads, the neglected "Mummer's Dance" and the orchestral cathedral grandeur of "Benedictus." She even covers Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights," adding a modern feel to the finale.
That is not to say that every choice is an excellent one. "Wuthering Heights" has Westenra trying to sound more Bush-ian, while "Amazing Grace" is too simple vocally. Aside from those, her choices of song are excellent -- rich, uplifting and beautiful, and backed by a wide range of orchestral musicians, especially the strings.
There is also an accompanying EP, in which Westenra covers four Christmas ballads, and does them all justice. Her vocals are well suited to the dignified lyrics of songs like "The Mummer's Dance" and "Silent Night," although a bit less for the still-lovely "Mary Did You Know" and "Away in a Manger."
Her vocals themselves are not operatic, but they are strong, clear and sweet, without pretensions or dramatic flourishes. The effect is stunning, more given to magic and sweetness than to keeping to classical standards. Since this was recorded when Westenra was only sixteen, one wonders how good she'll be in ten years.
Despite comparisons to Charlotte Church, Hayley Westenra is more like Sarah Brightman -- a sweet-voiced singer, straddling the fence between classical and pop. An enchanting experience.
WHAT A GIFT!.......2004-12-20
I RECEIVED THESE 2 CDS AS A GIFT AND I LISTEN TO THEM FREQUENTLY. HER PERFORMANCE WITH RUSSELL WATSON (ON DVD)ON HIS TOUR IS WONDERFUL. I CAN'T WAIT FOR A NEW ALBUM. WOULD LIKE TO GET HER NEW SONG, BRIDAL BALLAD, FROM THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE MERCHANT OF VENICE
Incredible voice - Incredible CD.......2004-04-29
I recently saw Hayley on TV and had to immediately buy this CD. Her voice is so clear and pure, and her songs are filled with lyrical emotion.
It is an absolutely incredible CD that any music lover should have in their collection. My favorite song is Wuthering Heights.
The Best.......2004-04-27
Her album is the best, voice of an angel.......you can totally relakes to her music.
Charlotte is NO match..........2003-12-15
Hayley is just phenomenal. There is no doubt that she surpasses every other female artist in her genre. This CD is astonishing. My two favorite songs are "Heaven" and "Wuthering Heights". The first Hayley Westenra song I ever heard was "Heaven". It would not be the last. Her voice is like that of an angel. She has a smooth, serene sound, and she has an incredible range. If you want a more classical sound, you want her. It's not that gaudy stuff that people generally think of. This stuff has a beat... and it's not pumping with bass. If you're a fan of Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Charlotte Church, or Mario Frangoulis... try Hayley Westenra, you won't regret it. I just can't wait 'til she comes to the states... that'll be a good day. She has a few Italian songs, but she's not heavy on the foreign stuff like some of the other artists of Opera / Classical. She's got a wonderful voice for a little girl... I'm a huge fan, Hayley! You roped me in, in about 2 minutes time!

Was scared to check this out, but im glad I did.......2007-07-25
So many bands get back together and put out pointless legacy marring new albums. This year was no different with the Damnation Ad record. After that heartbreaking experience I was skeptical but thank goodness 108 migh've just put out their best record yet.
This record rips, it feels real and raw and is still pushing the envelope much in the way all of their previous records have.
The songs are so fast and out of control but are layered and chopped up with excellent fugazish parts and you can feel Ian Mackaye being channeled from time to time in the vocals.
Enjoy this record, it may give you hope.

This 1964 standout is named for the double-sided single that was the first 45 to place both cuts atop the country charts. In fact, they owned the top two spots on the chart three weeks running, swapping positions in the middle week! "Together Again," a ballad distinguished by Tom Brumley's weeping steel, and "My Heart Skips a Beat," a midtempo shuffle featuring Don Rich's biting guitar licks and high harmony vocals, were both written by Owens himself and perfectly exemplify the Owens writing style: simple and bright-sounding songs aimed at working-class honky-tonk patrons who wanted to forget the real world for a few hours. The remainder of the LP maintains these high standards, thanks to a strong set of original Owens tearjerkers and a number of well-chosen covers--"A-11," "Hello Trouble," "Close Up the Honky Tonks," and "Truck Drivin' Man"--that remain defining, hard-driving Bakersfield classics. Sundazed adds a pair of chart-topping singles from the previous year--"Act Naturally" and "Love's Gonna Live Here"--making this CD release a fundamental entry into any country enthusiast's collection. --Marc Greilsamer
Album Description
Full Title - Together Again/My Heart Skips A Beat. Named after his double-sided number one hit single of early 1964, 'Together Again/My Heart Skips A Beat' is one of Buck Owens' strongest albums of the '60s, as well as one of his few records to stick firmly in the honky tonk camp. Now Sundazed brings you this reissue with 2 bonus tracks 'Love's Gonna Live Here' and 'Act Naturally', both of which were originally released by Capitol as singles. 1995.

This is what country music is all about.......2007-05-26
From the first tune to the last,Buck Owens and his Buckaroos will have you hooked on some the best country tunes out there.Buck and Don harmonize perfectly.Three of Buck's steel guitar players strut their stuff here, most notably, Tom Brumley on Together Again. His seamless turnaround on the steel is a major cause of the songs success and beauty.Ralph Mooney "steels" the show on many of the tunes.Jay McDonald is also a major presence on a few of the tracks. You can't call your collection complete without this CD in it.
One of his best!.......2007-04-11
"Together Again/My Heart Skips A Beat" was on the top of my "must have" Buck owens albums....this album satisfies all my hard-core honky tonk tendencies, song for song it has to rate among his best, from the opening tracks shuffle beat followed by my personal favorite track on here the classic "Close Up The Honky-Tonks", then there is the unbelievably credible country version of "Save The Last Dance For Me" (sounds as if it were written as a country song).."A-11".."Storm Of Love"..they are all good..nary a clunker here...if your a Buck fan?..Order this as fast as you possibly can!...a MUST have!
As Good As It Gets.......2006-08-23
I can't understand how anyone could give this album less than five stars. It just doesn't get any better than this. In fact, it will probably never be this good again.
That song it sure does fit me........2006-08-08
This album by Buck Owens was released in 1964. The title songs were from a single that saw both sides become #1 hits. That was the first time both sides of a single reached #1 on the Country charts. The album included one other hit song, which was a cover of the Drifters' song "Save the Last Dance For Me". Other than the hits, there were a number of other great songs on the album, including "Close Up the Honkey Tonks", "Truck Drivin' Man", "A-11", "Hello Trouble" and "Ain't It Amazin' Gracie" (the latter became a hit when Buck re-recorded it nine years later). The CD adds two bonus tracks, which are the #1 hits "Love's Gonna Live Hear" and "Act Naturally". This is one of Buck's best albums.
When Country was Real.......2006-05-30
Another fine Buck Owens Cd released by Sundazed Records; they've done a great job of re-releasing his collection. This Cd was originally released in 1964, but the sound is incredibly clear. "Together Again/My Heart Skips A Beat" provides 14 of Buck's songs, including a few of his biggest hits: "My Heart Skips a Beat", "A-11", "Hello Trouble", and the greatest Steel Guitar solo yet, "Together Again". The world lost one of the finest stylists ever when Buck recently passed away.....here's your chance to own a little bit of that magic. I'm not sure how long these albums will remain available, but you'd be wise to grab them while you can.

"A perfectly balanced Rod CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".......2002-05-07
This is an excellent CD by one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time. This cd is so underated it's unbelievable. Every song on hear is good with the exception of the "ok" track "Here to Eternity".......but the rest is either good or great. The great songs are "Another Heartache", "Red Hot in black", "Love Touch", "In my own Crazy way", "Every Beat of my heart" and who could forget the superb "Ten days of rain". This album goes great with Rod's other excellent 80's cd "Out of Order" so BUY THIS ONE and listen to both cd's back to back and have yourself a little Rod marathon. He's great and this CD is great if you don't have it BUY IT!!!!!!!!!
the best.......2002-04-16
This is the ultimate Rod Stewart CD. It is so underrated that it very often goes unnoticed but has become my favorite Rod Stewart Cd of all time.....Goes beyond Rod's usual songs and captures his creativity at a higher level. It is a must have for any Rod fan.
A great record........2000-12-28
I got this record when it first came out, having been a life long fan of Stewart and I was not disappointed. The first song is called "Here to Eternity" and is nothing short of great. The "Legal Eagles" theme "Love Touch" is also one to take note of, as is "10 Days of Rain." basically this was just a great record that I would highly recommend.
Spare This Rod.......2000-09-15
A rather soulless excursion by one of rock's greatest and most recognizable vocalists. Rudderless after bland, synth-laden efforts like "Body Wishes" and "Absolutely Live", these recordings present Stewart as an irrelevant 80's party dad. "Who's Gonna Take Me Home" and "A Night Like This" would sound embarrasing coming from the larynx of a teenager; it's hard to believe this is the same guy who, 12 years earlier, imbued "Maggie May", "I'm Losin' You" and "Cindy Incidentally" with such a common man sensibility. The worst example is "Red Hot in Black", a song Stewart's recorded at least 7 times with different lyrics, but the same theme. The title track and "Ten Days of Rain" do save things a bit, but remember, to get to those tracks, you'll have to endure "Love Touch". Listening to this, one wishes Rod would toss out the synthesizers and studio gimmicks, along with the musical odes to leggy blondes, and get back to what he does best-- sing songs that resonate with the common person. (NOTE: Album was entitled simply "Rod Stewart" in America; it is now out of print in the USA)

An early concept album, The Beat of My Heart (1957) features small-group arrangements built around Bennett's vocals and guest drummers on the order of Art Blakey, Jo Jones, Chico Hamilton, and Candido. The star is his usual ebullient self here, sounding impossibly young (he's 31) to ears accustomed to his '80s and '90s work. His basic values are already in place, however, as one line makes clear: "Let there be great songs for singers to sing." This CD reissue contains six previously unreleased bonus tracks from the sessions. --Rickey Wright

Early Tony, jazzy, likeable, cool percussion..........2003-10-20
In a way I've been a Tony fan since age seven or eight. My sister, ten years older, bought his pop singles when his career began in the early '50's...first on 78's, believe it or not, then on 45 rpm. Songs like "Rags to Riches" and "Cold Cold Heart" and "Stranger in Paradise." She did not buy this LP, however, which came out in 1957, the year she married, when I was 12. I always liked Tony. The mega-hit "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" in 1962 pushed him to the top, then he faded in the 80's and came back quite strong in the '90's. He's been part of my life a long time now, and I like his recent CD's in tribute to Astaire, and to Sinatra, and to Ellington. But this one is also good. Bennett's young voice is smoother than on those CD's, but less knowing about love and loss. There are 17 tunes on this CD, six more than on the original vinyl. The additions fit seamlessly into the original concept. Just about all the songs are standards of the era, and show up on all kinds of jazz and pop albums of the late fifties. Tony's gimmick was to let drums be the primary accompaniment, using a variety of talented percussionists. He also used trombones, including Kai Winding, and flutes, including Herbie Mann, and a little piano by friend Ralph Sharon, who is still with him on those recent discs I mentioned earlier...45 years along the path. This LP was Tony's idea, with Sharon doing the arranging, and drummers like Chico Hamilton, Jo Jones, Billy Exiner, Art Blakey and Candido figuring out how to compliment Bennett's vocals without hogging the spotlight too long. For me, it all worked fine. The only quibble is that since I missed this one on its first release, I have owned most of these songs done by other great vocalists and jazzmen, on albums issued later. Great songs here, but most of them quite familiar by now. I think if I had bought this at 13 when it was new, I would have also loved it then, surely more than I do at 58 with so much listening behind me. Perhaps this is not a masterpiece, but it was an important step for Bennett in proving his instincts could be trusted with his own career. If you are a Tony fan, I'd call this one a "must have."
Tony Bennett singing against the beating of the drums.......2003-05-18
This 1957 album, which was Tony Bennett's third full-length LP, is a very intriguing and totally unique concept album. "The Beat of My Heart" offers up Bennett singing against a variety of percussion arrangements courtesy of a diverse company of drummers from Jo Jones and Chico Hamilton to Billy Exiner and Sabu. Produced by Mitch Miller, several songs on this album consist of only Bennett's voice, drums, and flutes (played by Herbie Mann, Spencer Sinatra, and William Slapin). There are a couple of songs that play directly into this idea, such as "Crazy Rhythm," "Let's Face the Music and Dance," and "So Beats My Heart for You." But where this approach really shines are on classic songs like "Lullaby of Broadway" and "Just One of Those Things." Ultimately the result is exquisite rather than exotic and proved Bennett's forte was really jazz rather than pop. "The Beat of My Heart" is also the album that established Tony Bennett as something special and chronologically would be the first CD that is an essential part of the Tony Bennett section of your music library. That is even before you take into account that this CD reissue adds another six tracks to the play list, including "I Get a Kick Out of You," "I Only Have Eyes for You," and "Begin the Beguine," which makes for one of the more impressive set of bonus tracks I have seen to date.
FOR TONY'S DIE HARD FANS.......2003-01-10
This offering is certainly not among TONY's greatest achievement. It is true that the concept is done tastefully, but there are four very ordinary songs:LET THERE BE LOVE,CRAZY RHYTHM,THE BEAT OF MY HEART and SO BEATS MY HEART FOR YOU.Somehow,i have the feeling that mister BENNETT was at the time sleeping alongside a drum set.You will notice that LOVE FOR SALE is virtually the same recording used in the lp I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO.The added tracks are indeed welcome here ,and can not be considered fillers.A medium BENNETT, for those who followed him from the beginning.
Wonderful early Bennett concept album.......2001-11-02
Sinatra called Tony Bennett the best popular singer of the (20th) century. Listening to this early (1957) album, it is not hard to see why. While I have always thought the robust Bennett voice of the 1960s delivered a more rounded mix of sensitivity and power, 'The Beat of My Heart' is a tour de force. It is largely a showcase for rhythmic numbers, highlighted by prominent drummers such as Basie's Jo Jones and Art Blakey (Thelonious Monk and others).
The spare, percussion-laden arrangements don't give a voice anywhere to hide, and Bennett's smooth, sometimes athletic vocals ('Beat of My Heart' -- amazing) shine. 'Lullaby of Broadway' and 'Let's Face the Music and Dance' are memorable uptempo numbers. 'Love for Sale', 'Crazy Rhythm' and 'Just One of Those Things' are also notable, showing up in later Bennett concerts and compilations.
While there may be other sets with more hits, 'The Beat of My Heart' has a stronger jazz element and a generous selection of songs from the golden era of American popular music. If Bennett sounds a bit young here, it is more than balanced by the quality and taste of the songs and arrangements.
Whenever you listen, you get the sense that Tony Bennett simply loves the music. That artistry and respect for the canvas permeates his catalogue, and the early 'Beat of My Heart' is no exception. Recommended, perhaps not as the first TB album to buy -- 'I Wanna Be Around' and the Carnegie Hall concert get my votes -- but as essential Bennett. Which is saying a lot.
Tony Bennet, strong jazz artists and outstanding arranging........1999-05-03
I can finally retire my lovingly cared for but sadly worn vinyl 40 year old original copy. To my taste, this is still Tony Bennett's finest purely vocal work. Although not as arty or popularly accessible as what comes later, he holds his own in the company of some of the strongest of late 1950's jazz leaders. The arrangements and lyrics delivery are consistently clever, surprising and original. Who else would attempt the old Army Air Corps theme and make it sound fresh? A Lazy Afternoon with Chico Hamilton is an excellant example of performance art. This collection is a case of performance by professionals and artists at the highest possible musical level to get the most that is possible from the material at hand.

Album Description
Popular percussionist Girish is blasting through the defining boundaries of the chant music genre, bringing a fresh, exciting, and yet deeply spiritual interpretation that is sure to change the way that audiences and performers think of chant music. You may readily recognize the familiar sound of Girish's tabla playing, which has consistently graced popular chant recordings for the last decade. Now Girish is revolutionizing the world of chants with his funky, stirring style. On his new CD, Reveal, he intelligently incorporates pop, jazz, and folk nuances into ancient Sanskrit mantras. His voice is well trained through years of studying Sanskrit and chanting for hours a day, year after year. "I took mantras that are ten thousand years old and combined them with a musical style that makes the benefit of the mantras accessible and appealing to modern listeners," says Girish. But rather than translating the mantras, he kept the integrity of the Sanskrit sounds intact for a reason. "When you chant, the mantra acts as a portal to the presence of the deity whose name you're chanting. There's this whole energy field built up around a mantra that has been used for thousands of years and has this vortex of spiritual power built around it," he explains. A remarkable cast of performers participated in and supported the making of Reveal. These include top female vocalists Donna De Lory, Wah!, CC White and Snatam Kaur. Saxophone, keyboards, electric sitar and cello add tremendous texture and flavor. But most impressive is Girish's effort in conceptualizing, writing for, singing on, and performing multiple instruments throughout the recording. Though it is deeply rooted in the wisdom and spiritual knowledge of the Vedas, listening to Reveal is fun and light-hearted

Open your heart and sink inside....Pure Bliss!
Girish redefines mantra. Donna De Lory's backing vocals are just stunning!
WOW!!!.......2005-04-15
I'm new to some of eastern influenced music. I've worked in the music business for many years with rock and pop artists, but I wanted to expand my horizons. Until I came across this Girish CD, my favorites have been Dave Stringer, Krishna Das, and David Parson. My new favorite of the genre is Reveal. The entire album is amazing. I especially can't stop listening to Hanuman.
I highly recommend this CD. I'm looking forward to seeing what Girish does in the future too!!!
EXTRA-ORDINARY!.......2005-01-19
Upon first listening to REVEAL, I found myself intoxicated by ancient sounds woven together by the modern hands of an artist who truly understands the soul's desire to experience something deeply transcendent. Strong, earthy tones permeate mantras often thought inaccessible are now open to many in this cross-culturally infused album. Girish's languid voice takes us on a journey where inspiring, heart-felt expression is mixed with a groove all its own. These subtle, jazz-like compositions set REVEAL apart from other chant albums, allowing those who may not usually swim in these waters a chance to dive in and feel immediately at home.
To create an album with a unique sound, both vocally and instrumentally, is rare. To uplift and heal the spirit as well is...extraordinary!
A Wonderful CD.......2004-11-09
"Reveal" by Girish is a CD of articulate beauty, accessible devotion and amazing musicianship. Girish weaves ancient Sanskrit mantras with contemporary and inventive melodies to bring chant out of the ashram and into the living room.
I love this CD. I'm instantly enveloped by Girish's hypnotic vocals and lush arrangements every time I listen to it. His voice is deep and fluid, expressing the emotional calling of Kirtan through melodies that you come away singing. Yes, I find myself singing in Sanskrit, understanding the meaning even if I don't know what the words themselves mean, being connected to an ancient intelligence on a visceral level.
Gorgeous!.......2004-10-17
Girish's beautiful sound is overlain with a palpable sense of devotion that speaks to a place deep inside. When friends are over and I play it, it never goes unremarked, and this is true whether or not they are from a Hindu tradition. It's one of my absolute favorite cds.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas, he has the whole collection. Good music for people who like latin based tunes, with a folk twist to it.
Another Editorial Review.......2006-11-06
"Violinist Willie Royal and guitarist Wolfgang 'Lobo' Fink reunite as Willie & Lobo for their sixth album, Wild Heart. Much like their previous releases, Wild Heart features an intense hybrid of styles, including jazz, Cuban swing, tango, Middle Eastern grooves and flamenco, for a beautiful and unique sound. Rick Braun's production gives Wild Heart just enough polish to highlight its tantalizing sounds. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide"
Latin, fusion at it's best........2003-06-20
This is great latin fusion music, it's powerful and emotive from track 1 you wont be able skip a single track throughout the whole album (the way it should be), this is the first Willie and lobo cd i've bought but it wont be the last now i like the look of Siete and Caliente. If you want some innovative, relaxing music to unwind to i cant recommend "wild heart" enough.
One of the best............2001-10-09
Track by track by track - this is an album that will not leave
my changer. Road rage would be reduced if everyone had this in
their car system.
Joyous music.......1999-11-06
The best of my recent CD purchases. Different to previous work, but the same high standard. Unique music of the heart, joyous, emotive, sometimes melancholy. Excellent work W & L.
