This CD features Christmas in the Northwest - the original master recorded in 1985. It also features great performances by Northwest favorites Walt Wagner, Danny Deardorff, Reilly & Maloney, The Brothers Four, Terry Lauber and Carolee Mayne, and much more.

To date there are 5 Christmas in the Northwest titles available with the 6th being released in time for the Holidays in 2003.

Net proceeds from the sale of this CD benefit Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. As of 2003, over $600,000 has been raised for this great Seattle institution, so that no child is turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.

    Crescent Records is proud to announce the release of the first seasonal recording by guitarist Don Latarski entitled NorthWest of December. This all acoustic guitar CD contains 11 songs. Five are original compositions and five are traditional Christmas tunes: Silent Night, Good King Wenceslas, God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen, We Three Kings of Orient Are and Bring a Torch Jeannett, Isabella. There is also one tune by J.S. Bach: Sarabande.

      Steve Lawson's team has done it again - a vibrant, eclectic and enchanting collection of music for the holiday season. Over the years the talented contributions to this project have delighted my family and guests to our home. This album makes the perfect gift, by the way. Each new album has big stars like Dave Mathews and (this year) Kenny G - but always surpises with new talent - we now own every CD by Late Tuesday, for example. The fact that net proceeds benefits uncompensated care funds at Seattle's Childrens Hospital - guaranteeing that no child without insurance ever leaves with a hospital bill should be reason enough to buy this album. But musically it stands alongside all those others over the past twenty years - no wonder recording artists stand in line to be part of this project! Enjoy this CD, enjoy giving this CD as a gift, and welcome to the Christmas in the Northwest tradition!

        I love this albumn! I got Christmas in the Northwest Volume 7 last year from my sister for Christmas and couldn't stop listening. I planned to buy it this year as a Christmas gift for my friends and family and couldn't believe that Dave Matthews is included on Volume 8! I had to buy another one for myself. And knowing that all the proceeds go charity is amazing. A perfect gift!!!

        This 1994 release features the "Best Of" Christmas in the Northwest Volumes 1, II & III. The CD features 20 musical selections from top Northwest sings and songwriters.         Nice combinations of old and new. Vocals were impeccable. "Baby It's Cold Outside", while not playfully coy like Ann-Margaret's version, is a sweet duet. "The Marvelous Toy" was equally fun. Thankfully, standard Christmas tunes ("Angels We Have Heard on High" & "O Holy Night") are gently understated. A dynamite compilation album all in all... AND proceeds benefit Children's Hospital. Can't beat that with a stick.

            Album Description

            Volume 5 of this popular series of CDs featuring sings and songwriters from the Pacific Northwest to benefit Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.

            Christmas in the Northwest 5 features the hit songs Christmas in the Northwest by Brenda Kutz White, and Evergreen Christmas by Loni Rose. It also features the Northwest's own The Brother's Four, guitarist Gene Nery, composer/producer Steven Ray Allen, and Seattle transplant Grant Goodeve.

            As of 2002, this project has raised over $600,000 for Children's Hospital, and Net Proceeds from the sale of this CD benefit the hospital - so they can serve any child regardless of their ability to pay.
