This CD's the real snizzle!.......2004-06-22
Wow. Wood is the man. He's a master of harmonic sweetness. Like a blast of fresh winter air. The bass jams! Nice work homeslice.
Just what you're looking for........2001-02-20
Before I purchased the CD, I saw Doug Wood perform these songs live at Borders in Monroeville, PA. I've long been a fan of acoustic guitar music, and I hadn't ever heard of Doug before I saw him play. But I was tranfixed by his playing. A mixture of folk, jazz and new age combind to make for an exciting, and sometimes mellow set of acoustic guitar music. Perfect music to play when you're relaxing, maybe reading a book or just driving home from work. Get it. This one's a keeper.
It is good to meet you, Kiroc.......2000-07-11
Having been familiar with Doug Wood as a member of the Band Watts Gnu, I expected good things from Dougs first solo effort. Kiroc delivers every thing and more. Dougs guitar work is a rythmic roller coaster ride. His High driven melodic style makes this instrumental recording an exciting musical adventure from start to finish. One of the great things this CD has to offer is the presence of Former Watts Gnu band mate, bassist Darren Frate, as Darren's bass work is some of the most incredible bass playing I have ever heard. Darren and Doug have a gift for musical composition and colaboration. Over all I think I am saying that I liked this disc.
