About the Artist
Founded in 2001 by cellist Alfred Goodrich and acoustic guitarist Joshua Pride, the Alfred James Band weaves classical themes with soulful Southern charm to form an acoustic rock sound that is both original and musically masterful. Rich with beautiful harmonies and vocals, and intertwining the ethereal sounds of Alfred's cello with the earthy strums of Joshua's acoustic guitar, their music takes acoustic rock to another level.
The band is set to release their first album, Lucky If Easy, in February 2005. Alfred and Joshua recently did an opening spot for Bruce Hornsby at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Their song, Better Days, is now getting airplay on 88.5 XPN, 93.7 WSTW, and on college radio across the country. The band is currently playing at colleges and acoustic venues up and down the East Coast.
