Babbie Green's songs touch your heart. The themes are wide-ranging: lost love, a girl's pain at her parent's divorce, rescue puppies, new attitudes and noble elephants. The musical styles are versatile, the guest singers are a joy, and Ms. Green's lyrics are refreshingly charming and intelligent. The CD is guaranteed to make you smile, cry, and most importantly, sing out loud. Buy it for yourself and all your friends!

I would say that Babbie Green's work sometimes reminds me in spirit of (depending upon the song)Dorothy Parker; or Noel Coward or David Shire; or Stephen Sondheim-- but that would just be a loose description to try to describe her unique, and frankly indescribable breadth of ability to combine wit, irony, sweetness, and uncompromising honesty with wonderful melodies, to one who has not yet had the fortune of being exposed to this wonderful talent. Anyone who listens to her music will be moved, and probably changed, for the better.
