What a Voice!!!!!!!.......2007-01-11
I bought this DVD because I lost my original of Baby the Rain Must Fall - and love Glenn - decided my life was much the poorer without this album. The It's Gonna Be Fine part of the DVD doesn't do too much for me, a surprise (which is cool, since the price is not excessive) - I have rarely heard Glenn and not adored his music, it's listen to-able, but not as good as his other albums (nor do I have an appreciation for the one he did with his daughter, sigh). But, I have loved his style, voice, arrangements, all of it, since I was introduced to him as a young adult. I listen to him over and over and never tire of it.
Glenn Yarbrough.......2007-01-10
The CD was and is great. Keep listening to it all the time during my working-in-the-garage hours.
Too close to my heart........2005-12-21
I listened to Glenn Yarbrough's music during my 20s and 30s. I loved his music then and I love it now, for his powerful, unique, haunting voice moves me more than any other singer I have ever heard. So much emotion, so close. He truly is a remarkable artist. Sail on, sweet man.
Unique I Think.......2004-11-05
I'm not an expert on this artist; I remember his work in folk music and the amazing nobody-can-do-it-better "Baby, the Rain Must Fall". But I sat transfixed by him when he appeared at the State Fair, not a false note. The crowd loved him. This is a singer who never had to produce hit singles, just any tune will do once you get into his music. And apparently he never worried about hits as such, as he would make some money and go sailing about the world for the longest time and be welcomed back whenever he decided to return. If you're not hung up on chart toppers, this is a great listenable album for those who like someone who knows how to sing and has the voice to back it up.
What a voice!.......2004-08-14
I grew up listening to these albums with my parents, and Glenn's voice always brings me back to a simpler time. His smooth and powerful voice has to be appreciated by anyone who truely appreciates good music...regardless of your age. You don't here voices like Glenn's anymore.

I'm a Fan.......2007-07-03
I've been a fan of Glenn Yarborough ever since this particular album first came out. My husband and I had the LP - and fought over it in the divorce. Glenn can sing the alphabet and make it sound sexy and warm and delicious.
Nostalgia Wins Again.......2007-05-31
Excellent choice! The album is just as I remember it from, oh so, long ago! A real find and a pleasure to listen to.
Glenn Yarbrough.......2006-08-22
I haven't heard these recordings in years. I feel like I found a long lost friend.
Bit o'honey voice.......2005-09-02
The title song of this early album has become Glenn Yarbrough's trademark and, in my opinion, no one else does it better. The album forms a solid base for his later recordings and leaves a person wanting more.

I appreciate this music even more than I did 20 years ago........1999-11-17
A thoroughly enjoyable CD. This is a rare combination of songs with a voice that grabs your heart. I listen to this recording more than I do all the others I have in my library. A rare jewel.
Honest, empathetic review of life.......1999-01-11
Yarbrough's depth of emotion, melody and tone refelect the best in American folk melody of his time.
Whether you agree with his message or dislike the themes, you must admit that his sincerity is genuine.
Listen to the sublties of the lyrics, the unassuming quality of the song....
Timeless.......1998-11-30
I grew up listening to this and other Glen Yarborough songs, and find myself missing Glen's albums in my musical library. (My parents won't let me take their LPs)
When you buy this album, I guarentee you will find yourself humming the tunes or singing along.
It's a timeless compilation.

Ether Sunday.......2002-05-05
I love this stuff. Not every song is perfect, but where else can you find Gothic Rockabilly? It totally out-angsts and out-miseries anything else out there, and the songs are catchy too. Perfect for slow-dancing with your junkie girlfriend.
Teen Muscle.......2001-01-10
The Rock A Teens keep getting better in my estimation. This album finds them stretching a little with better production and added keyboards on a few tracks. Everything is still drenched in reverb and angst in the voice of Chris Lopez rules the day.
The opener "Teen Muscle/Teen Hustle" is a great upbeat pop song. Other favorites include "Don't Destroy This Night" and "Carla Ann". I'm going out on a limb saying they remind me of the Pixies, writing great catchy songs in an original style. If you haven't yet discovered this band this is a great start, along with "Cry".
album 3.......1999-12-03
this one rocks til your heart breaks
Another reverb-soaked triumph for the Rock*A*Teens........1998-12-22
"Baby, a Little Rain Must Fall" is like everything else the Rock*A*Teens have done, in a word, fantastic. Each album is a study in chaos as a growing entity, as the opening song on the newest CD (Teen Muscle/Teen Hustle) affirms. No one can make you love oblivion and sweet-natured hoplessness like Chris Lopez.
Still plenty of stories..........1998-11-25
Although it contains a few striking examples of how good the Rock*A*Teens reverb-drunk proto-punk can be, "Baby, A Little Rain Must Fall" suffers when compared to 1997's Southern gothic masterpiece "Cry" and 1996's frantic "Rock*A*Teens," both of which qualify as indie-rock classics. There's at least one good reason: Guitarist Kelly Hogan moved to Chicago, reducing the R*A*Ts to a trio and taking the band's lone girlish edge with her. But achey-voiced vocalist/guitarist Chris Lopez forges on with some of his most gut-wrenching tales yet, except he's not singing about murder, mayhem and "The Rockabilly Ghetto" this time around. If he's not begging a new lover to scrap her flight out ("Don't Destroy This Night"), he's assuming the psyche of a knockout drop addict ("Ether Sunday") or recollecting old flames with a careful bitterness usually reserved for songwriters with many more wrinkles. Most importantly, the guy still knows how to write unsettled melodies that inevitably crash into eloquent and grand choruses. Scrap some of its blander mid-tempo pop songs, and "Baby, A Little Rain Must Fall" would make for a thoroughly quenching EP. At a minimum, the disc proves it will take a long time for Lopez to dry out.
