Editorial Reviews
Jan Guenther Braun - Imprint staff
Luft has crafted good folk tunes with the ability to go beyond the fourth fret, the woman can play!"

Product Description
Tempting the Storm is at once profoundly Celtic and yet still modern; raw, intense, traditional guitar and violin (courtesy of guest performers Richard Moody and Cam Harbidge) contrast with quasi-rock n' roll rhythms, creating a tangible forward momentum. Luft's voice has similar qualities: fine-edged, supple and intense, without being abrasive, bringing out an innate vibrancy in her songs. Consisting of nine originals and two traditional tunes, the disc plays seamlessly from one track to the next, and production values are flawless, capturing reflective lulls and passionate crescendos perfectly. In the end, there's nothing to call this disc other than beautiful.
