Cary is all too familiar with the often-harsh realities of this world. She met music in the form of a blonde haired boy, Matthew Black. They played gigs up and down the East Coast - Matthew on an old Martin guitar, Cary singing harmonies with an occasional lead. They fell in love and were eventually engaged. It was a dream coming true until it ended abruptly with Matthew's unexpected death less than two years later.

“When Matti died, I lost my best friend and soul mate.” says Cary. "I wrote music because it was the only way I found to survive the greatest loss in my life to date. I picked up Matti's Martin and started playing because it was the only way I knew to keep the dream alive.”

The dream is alove and well and rocketing Cary to the forefront of the Pop/folk/Rock/etc scene. As Billboard admonishes: "Seek this one out."

After seeing her live, I had to buy both CD's. She is incredible either live or on CD! Her songs are both catchy and appeal to your emotions. Listen to the lyrics and I assure you that you will be moved! Onion Dream is a great sophmore effort! I assure you you will be hearing more of Meghan Cary! If you live anywhere along the East Coast, keep your ears open for a live show! You will not be disappointed!

Peels Reveal.......2001-06-09

At first I'm thinking, "I've been down this road before." A couple more listens, however, reveal levels that impact me more than the Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, or Jewel. Their "folk" thing combines with Melissa Etheridge's "rock" thing and I realize I'm listening to "some" thing about SOMETHING. Exciting, well-produced CD, by a girl I suddenly care about.

If you like rag you need to know Albright.......2007-07-08

Clearly rag although infused with a slightly more modern flavor than Joplin, Albright may be the only composer who wrote a significant number of rags that deserve to be mentioned in the company of Joplin's. If Melville's recordings of his pieces don't quite equal those the composer made himself (which as a group don't appear to be available from any source at the moment) they are nonetheless very good. If you like rag you need to know Albright, and this CD has excellent versions of his great rags!
