From the Label
Blanchard explores the joys of everyday life along with the sustaining touch of grace throughout our struggles and doubts. Exquisite cameo performances from Buddy Greene, Bob Bennett, and Cynthia Clawson make this a must for Blanchard fans.
Product Description
"A View Out the Window" primarily deals with faith amidst ruins. From the kickoff song, "Love Afterall", through tunes like "Daddy Cut My Hair", "Saturday Dad", and the title cut "A View Out the Window", to the regal concluding anthem "There is Still A King of Hearts", the theme of God's tenacious grip on us despite our many troubles is hammered at again and again. Through storysongs and tune etchings, snapshots are taken from the potpourri of the terribly fragile and wonderfully beautiful human experience. A falling out between a father and a son; the reconnecting of a divorced dad with his children; Saturdays remembered as a kid; Friday nights at the drive-in; the death of a parent; and much, much more. It is a family portrait shot from the front porch of God.

Five Stars for This Star!.......2002-11-27
That would be enough, but in addition, his musicianship is superb. He is not a pop artist and rarely gets airplay, but is an artist and a craftsman both as a composer and a performer. I am not a musician myself, so I cannot analyze them technically, but I have never heard anyone else arrange music the way he does.
Love it!.......2000-01-14
