The songs were so popular that some have become folk songs themselves, recorded by musicians such as Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. In addition material that was recorded by the Smithsonian's Center for Folk Life and Cultural Heritage in the 1980's as well as interviews with Michael Honey and Joe Glazer are included.
