How long will Claire remain unknown in the US?.......2006-05-10

I've purchased two of these recordings - one to keep the other to send to a radio station in the Atlanta area. I am especially keen on hearing the acoustic version of Flame - an effort worthy of the best singer/songwriters in recent years. Claire is a songwriter's songwriter with music which bends melody and musical style as easily and smoothly as light from a prism. Purchase this recording now and you'll be able to boast you collected her recordings before she became internationally known - but better act quickly as I'll be ordering more for myself. Rating: FIVE RISING STARS !!!!

An import which will appeal to Eva Cassidy Fans.......2006-05-07

The UK press reports Claire started singing professionally using Eva Cassidy covers even though she had already started writing her own songs. With material this strong I believe that Eva would have been fast friends with Claire who's phrasing recalls some of Eva's work while being totally original. This CD belongs to both the folk and jazz worlds - a coleasence of musical styles not easily found. BlueNote records should be applauded for quickly recognizing Claire's considerable talent. Claire - please don't make me cash my free airline miles to travel to the UK to see you in concert. Make Atlanta Georgia one of your stops on what promises to be a great tour! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED!
