i was very fortunate to see ember and her band play just a few day ago and it was well worth it! her cd the wage is the stage is very much worth the money for it omg. she is the best live performer i have ever seen! not to mention im totally in love with her bassist! anyways. umm you should buy her cd and support the indie artist like you should. bye!

I can't believe no one else has reviewed this CD...so I will! I was lucky enough to see Canadian folk(ish) singer Ember Swift and her amazing violinist and drummer at a folk music and political activism festival in NY state, and I heard some stuff from this CD and enjoyed it so much that I bought it right away. This is the band's fifth or sixth CD since they started in the mid-1990s, and they are AWESOME. This is a live CD, and Ember's unique voice, the great musical qualities of the CD, and the overall amazingness was really impressive. I would recommend this CD to fans of Ani Difranco, especially those who have found new Ani stuff to be a little overdone. This CD is exactly the opposite--very true to itself and the music; just beautiful folk songs and jazzy punky stuff without selling out.
