About the Artist
Brady Rymer has been a recording artist and songwriter with the band "From Good Homes" for over thirteen years. The band has released three albums on RCA records and toured nationally, both solo and with such artists as "Dave Matthews Band", "Hootie and the Blowfish" and Bob Weir (of "Grateful Dead"). The band has also appeared with David Crosby, David Byrne and Bob Dylan.

When his son, Gus, was born three years ago, Brady started writing songs for him (actually, even before his birth - see "Last Night In Utero"). The baby needed a lot of soothing, so the songs kept coming as Brady sat in the rocking chair. He gave his simple guitar-and-voice recordings to his friends with small children - they would make copies and send them to their friends, and so on. Friends called to report they overheard their children singing the songs throughout the day, and that they found themselves singing them as well.

A year ago he took the songs a step further and recorded them in his home studio with a friend, Dan Myers, adding full arrangements. As he edited the songs, they naturally fell into play time and sleepy time themes, which seemed like a nice way to organize a kid's collection of music.

What a neat album for little ones. Our kids love listening to Brady's songs that are catchy and funny.

Perfect!.......2000-09-30

I received "Good Morning, Gus!" from a friend recently. We have a 6 & 7 year old and thought they might possibly be too old to enjoy the CD. I played it in the morning to get them motivated to get ready for school and it worked! They both drifted in the room when "You Gotta Eat Your Fruits" came on and were quite energized! They have since listened to the entire CD several times and love it. I hesitate to mention our favorite songs because they are all equally "perfect"!!

We was given this CD by a friend when we were expecting our first child. We loved the Song "Last Night in Utero". Now that our son is born, we play the CD on a daily basis. The songs are unique and fun for both baby and parent. We will continue to enjoy "Good Morning Gus" for years to come. I highly recommend this CD for all new parents. It makes a wonderful gift, too!

Worth looking for........2000-07-16

There's a surprising amount of excellent, relatively unknown kids music out there. I'd put this album at the top of that list. The songs are a lot of fun. They seem to be devided into "play time" and "sleepy time". The whole album is fun, memorable, and full of great songs that get stuck in your head (and you don't mind!). Rymer, Laurie Berkner and Dan Zanes are my kids' favorites. And Gus is a lucky kid to get an album this good named after him.

Not only will the kids love this music, but if you're a parent (like me) with little musical talent ... you can't help but appreciate the contribution Rymer makes as a parent with talent.
