Collected between 1955 and 1961, mainly from members of the Robert Clancy family of Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, the individual selections are performed by different generations of the same family. For this album, the Clancy clan has collected songs which they learned from their mums-songs which have been passed down through countless generations of Irish children. Features contributions by the Clancy children and some of the elder Clancys along with Seamus Ennis on Uillean pipes and penny whistle. Recorded in 1962.
