A Real Treat!.......2007-02-16

As someone who works from home, this is a wonderful collection to put on during the day. The beautiful arrangements of some of film's most memorable music is a treat to listen to day in and day out. I was one of those looking for music from the "Cousins" soundtrack. I'm so much happier to have found this CD with more great music than I could've bargained for. I'm very glad to have this in my collection!

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THE SOUNDTRACK OF COUSINS... I KNOW BUT HEY I LOVED THE MOVIE AND WHEN I REALIZE THAT THE SOUNDTRACK WAS BEEN ASK $120 I JUST WENT NUTS LOL LOL BUT I WENT ON MY SEARCH AND FOUND THIS GREAT GREAT GREAT CD, THAT HAS THE SONGS I WAS SEARCHING FOR AND MORE.

FOR EXAMPLE, CAVATINA FROM THE DEER HUNTER, HMM GREAT MOVIE AND GREAT SONG. AND LETS NOT FORGET THE WAY WE WERE, COME ON THAT IS A CLASSIC. AND ITS HAS THE THEME FROM THE MOVIE ON GOLDEN POND, ALSO UNCHAINED MELODY FROM THE MOVIE GHOST.

BUT WHAT TOOK MY OFF MY SIT WAS THE SONG *WE ARE LOOSING HIM, FROM THE MOVIE SOMEWHERE IN TIME. LOOK THIS IS A GREAT CD, AND IT IS WORTH ALL.

I HAVE ALL THE SONGS I EVER WANTED AND MORE. BELIEVE ME YOU ME, IT IS A GREAT BARGAIN. WONT BE DISSAPOINTED.

A fabulous cd by a fabulous artist. Christine Kane's talent is unquestionable. "This Time Last Year" showcases her phenomenal voice and guitar. Touching, ligthearted, intense, sexy, and funny, this cd is sure to work its way into your stash of favorites!!!

Amazing music, amazing lyrics.......1998-05-05

I honestly believe (and earnestly hope) that Christine Kane is an up-and-comer whose name everyone will know very soon. Her voice, her guitar playing (and that of fellow guitarist Richard Birt), her sheer ability to capture incredible emotion into every song, have caused reviewers to compare her to the Indigos, Shawn Colvin, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. And she's at least as talented as any of these. This album, though somewhat spartan in arrangement, features some truly great songs and while more orchestration would be fine, it's completely unneeded. They're songs you feel completely comfortable in from the first time your hear them, like your favorite chair. Ms. Kane's ability to understand human emotion and her capacity for what Tom Robbins calls "joy in spite of everything" make her albums indispensable for anyone even remotely interested in the best of the modern acoustic world.

Christine Kane is so talented. She has a super sweet voice and down to earth lyrics. She is one of the most sincere singer/songwriters I have had the privilage to listen to. She is an amazing person and I feel blessed to own her music.

Pick Yourself Up.......2000-06-25

A stirring songwriter/singer, with a strong (not anything wispyhere) vocal style, and powerful guitar work. She gets you off theground with her music. The song "Off the Ground" is on an album carried by Amazon, called "Women's Work.&quotl...Enjoy! If you like her, also try The Burns Sisters, three equally wonderous voices with evocative lyrics and driving folk rock.

I don't actually own the cd, I've borrowed a friend's because I cannot find it anywhere! I discovered Christine Kane when my friend made me a girlsy, folksy mix tape, which I wore out. "Off the Ground" was one of the best songs on the tape, so I borrowed the cd. I love it -- very relaxing, feel-good folk -- but can't find it! So I'd recommend it if you like folk, particularly that of the female persuasion, but don't get too interested unless you know where to get it.
