Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Exquisite.......2000-10-31

I'd like to add my A+++ review to Mr. Gerhard's list of five star raves. He combines a natural guitar sense with fine technique and elegant arrangements. One piece in particular stands out for me. Ed's arrangement of "The Water Is Wide" is absolutely stunning in its beauty and simplicity. It reminds me of why I became a guitarist. Do yourself a favor and add this to your CD collection then visit his web site to find out where he's playing next. I've seen him perform and you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Ed's Best Work.......1999-07-21

Of all of Ed's recordings, this is the most emotional and melodic. I have Luna and Night Birds as well, but this one is the cd I keep going back to. If you don't play guitar, after hearing this, you'll want to! You absolutely will love it.

5 out of 5 stars An Exquisitely Performed Collection of Love Songs.......1998-08-01

"Counting the Ways" is an exquisitely performed collection of well-known love songs. Ed Gerhard is a master of the acoustic guitar, combining impeccable technique with a tenderly intimate expression of his music. The only way to more fully appreciate Ed's genius is to listen to a CD of his original pieces. This man is truly an acoustic poet!

5 out of 5 stars Relaxing, stress relieving, enchanting music...........1998-07-24

Ed's music is absolutely mesmerizing. I was recently exposed to this type of music and enjoyed it thoroughly. I was hoping to find some of his Christmas albums available from amazon.com for holiday gifts, but it appears as though there are only these two. Both of which are relaxing after a long day, it's hard to believe there is only one guitarist playing these songs.
