Customer Reviews:
Christian Rock an Oxymoron.......2004-02-20
Sunshine on Leith is a fabulous album. Hit the Highway unfortunately demonstrates that although Christianity may be good for the soul it is bad for music. The brilliant lyrics of Sunshine have disappeared and been replaced with dull preaching accompanied by nice guitars.
Ahh...How About Awesome!.......2000-01-31
How these two Scotsmen escaped deity status I will never know. Their talent is overwhelming. More intelligent, introspective, self-empowering, self-effacing, humerous tunes do not exist-period. This CD has harmonies (and lyrics) that will break your heart.Their geeky persona's are clearly a put-on, every tune radiates the confidence of proud men who clearly have mastered their craft. Above all else, this CD rocks harder than the Indigo Girls on Scottish Whiskey. I have since purchased their two preceeding CD's and have only rave commentary for "The Proclaimers" (check out "This is the Story" for an acoustic masterpiece). If you buy one CD this year, make it a "Proclaimers" CD-any one. They truly stand alone.
An honest view of life's contents.......2000-01-27
The Proclaimers are two scottish brothers who love life, their women and God. Each song is a testiment to the way we should all live and love; honestly.

Customer Reviews:
U can't beat them!.......2002-10-22
The proclaimers should take pride of place in everyones cd collection. You'll have heard them on the soundtracks of films like Benny and Joon (I'm gonna be (500 miles), dumb and dumber (Get ready) and shrek (I'm on my way), you should definately own their CD's. Although Lets get married isn't as stand out as sunshine on leith, it's still a great cd. The twins even cover the Otis Redding classic these arms of mine in their own distinctive way. As a cd it's melodic, deep and up lifiting. You won't be dissappointed. If you get the chance to see them live you're in for a treat. Having moved from Scotland to the US The proclaimers are a little piece of Home I wouldn't be without.
