Both a departure and an extension of Sweet Honey in the Rock's trademark mix of political and philosophical statements, Feel Something Drawing Me On serves as the vocal group's tribute to the world's sacred music. Globe-hopping with customary glee, the group includes a handful of gospel songs from the American South, a West African funeral song, and an all-vocal interpretation of folk patron Woody Guthrie's "I've Got to Know."
