A great album.......2007-06-26

My wife bought this to accompany the book of the same title. The tracks are light and happy tunes. Anne Hills sounds beautiful as she sings praise to the Goddess.
My daughter is only two and she knows many words from most the songs on the disc. she listens to it all the time, and love to sing herself to sleep
A great compilation and I strongly recomend it even if you do not have kids

I was surprised at how much my 3 1/2 year old son and I both love this CD. Several songs have been incorporated into our nightly lullabye ritual. He particularly loves me to sing the ocean lullabye, the give away song, and holy water,sacred flame. (and he loves to sing them to me as well).

This is also a great CD for listening while in the car. We both love nearly every song on the CD. In fact, the only song that I routinely skip over is the Witch Song, which I find to be just too cheesy and trite. Considering this is a children's CD, having only one cheesy song is pretty good IMO!

I was pleased to realize that several songs on this CD could successfully work in an adult ritual setting. For instance: Holy water, sacred flame is an ideal Oimelc invocation. Also included are several chants for each Solstice. It's hard for me to choose a personal favorite song, but Place of Power is definitely top of the list. This is a sing-along-with-your-whole-being kind of song!

I am gifting this CD to my pagan friends with children, but I think non-pagans would also enjoy this CD as a great way to introduce their children to the beauty of our natural world and the turning of the seasons.

This is the best book I have ever read! All you will need to raise a family in Goddess tradition and more!!! Easy to follow steps, fun games, songs, and crafts. A must own for any pagan parent!

Pagan Family Fun.......2007-01-03

I originally ordered this CD because I had the companion book, and because I have a little one who loves to sing and dance. We like most of the songs and find it a well-produced album, one that doesn't try too hard to be something it's not. Most Pagans are lucky if they have even a guitarist in their midst, and the songs are easy to sing, even a capella. The children's voices featured on the album are sweet and in tune, Anne Hill's voice is pleasant to hear and easy to sing along with, and we've reccommended this album to several other Pagan families that we know.

Some of the songs are a little hokey and too sing-songy for my taste, but they're balanced with so many other beautiful tracks that I find myself not really minding them at all; however, a few tracks are listed as written by Ms. Hill when in fact the melodies are lifted from other songs (all in the public domain, but still I feel it's dishonest to not acknowledge).

Overall, it's a great album if you're a Pagan parent looking for a CD that you and your kids will enjoy listening to. We like it at home and in the car, and it's charming to hear our two year old singing to the moon whenever she sees it.

This cd contains the beautiful energy of her creators. It is a harmonious balance, with daughters singing in the background, that invites other children to sing along, is a great introductory cd for children into Earth wisdom and keeps me happily humming long after the cd is over.
