Product Description
Here is the music that has shaped the resurgence of Paganism in the U.S. through the late 20th and early 21st centuries. A virtual "Greatest Hits" of Pagan music, it includes the work of some of our finest bards, poets and musicians. These songs tell our history, and also chart the evolution of our thought and belief. Exclusive tracks include the long-lost original "Burning Times" recording and several other rare musical gems. It's all here: the musical styles that influence us most, the folk wisdom and sacred story that touches our hearts, the ideals that stir our passions. Extensive liner notes give the story behind each track, a mini-field guide to the beauty and humanity of Pagan song.

Customer Reviews:
Buy This CD.......2006-11-06
If I were allowed to buy only one CD of pagan songs, I would buy this one. I have many CDs of pagan music, including "Let is Begin Now" and "Blessed Be, but none can compare to this one. The songs are inspiring, and the drumming and guitar playing (along with other stringed instruments) will force you out of your chair! One advantage this CD has over most others is variety. I find that many recordings of pagan music are monotonous (yes, even Starhawk's), but not this one. This CD is a compilation of different artists with different styles. There are songs that will make you cry and songs that will make you smile--and all of them will make you proud to be a pagan.
Absolutely Wonderful!.......2006-09-21
This is a wonderful compilation of songs of the Pagan Heart. I sing these songs with my children and play it in the car on the way to festival. Musical, magickal performances.
A Magical Journey Through the Tapestry of Pagan Music History.......2006-08-26
Upon listening to this CD; I fell in love with many of the tracks. My favorite being We Do Not Die. There are many tracks on this CD that give the listener a very interesting survey of the diverse nature of the evolving nature of Pagan/Wiccan music. Many of the selections have most likely been used by individuals as well as groups to enhance their own ritual experience. I truly thank the many artist who are represented on this CD for having put musically the multitude of expressions it is to be Pagan.

Great collection for pagan soul.......2006-03-20
This CD is a collection of all types of music from tunes that stay in your head ("We won't wait any longer" and "Lord of the Dance") to the haunting "Spirits". The CD is worth the cost just for "The Burning Times" and the "Christians and Pagans". I give the CD 4 stars because some of the songs just didn't quite click for me- but that is the joy of paganism, the variety. So, buy the CD, you will probably find a good portion of the tunes are pleasurable, and some may just stay with you forever.
groovy collection.......2005-12-12
I wasn't sure what exactly to expect when I ordered this, since there are no samplers, but I was pleasantly surprised. I decided to order it when I kept seeing it at all the websites I was shopping at. It's not really what I'd want for doing ritual to, but it's a nice alternative to the radio in the car, and to just listen to while doing busy stuff at home. I like that it introduced a variety of artists for me to look into further.
