Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.

This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.

If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

I saw Girlyman with Dar Williams in Raleigh, NC. Great show!! This CD captures their unique harmonies and quirky edge. Great drive time music to beat the traffic jam blues.

Not sure how I stumbled across Girlyman, but the group is my new favorite. The great lyrics and gorgeous harmonies have won them a prominent spot on my play list! They're coming to Seattle soon! I won't miss the show!

One of my new favorites.......2005-02-23

It's always a thrill to be pleasantly surprised by an opening act you've never heard of. I first heard Girlyman when they opened for the Indigo Girls last fall, and was absolutely floored. "Say Goodbye," "Viola" and "The Shape I Found You In" are favorites, and their cover of "My Sweet Lord" is fun, although a little safe.

They were a fun band to see live. Girlyman possesses excellent stage presence and good-natured wit. I look forward to more great things from them.

Michael Stipe meets the Indigo Girls.......2005-02-20

I first heard this group on the radioio eclectic webstream. The song was "Fall Stories." I noticed over the course of a month or so that every time that the song came on that I paid more attention to it. They have marvelous melodies that you just wished you could hear more of in mainstream music. I found their website and listened to their album. After one listen I ordered the CD and awaited its arrival. I thought they reminded me very much of the early Indigo Girls. Later on I joined their fan club in the hope they might eventually visit somewhere nearby. They are now signed on to the Indigo Girls record label so I hope there is enough marketing power behind them that they get to make a new album. The only weak song on the album is the remake of George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord." It isn't bad, but just not as great as all the other songs.

I've just begun listening to Remember Who I Am. I know I will be listening for a very long time. This CD is phenomenal on so many different levels. Incredible songwriting, startling harmonies. It doesn't get much better than this. As stated before, please buy and share with your friends. I know I will.

I heard Girlyman live a few weeks ago and bought theirnew cd. As Ty autographed it, I said that they were thebest opening act that I had ever seen. I perceived aslight wince at this. I hadn't quite said what I meantthat they were fantastic! It is hard to goof a shortdeclarative sentence, so here is what I mean. Girlymanis fantastic! I keep replaying this tape. "Fall Stories," which ends with a cha-cha-cha riff,makes a great little rumba and actually inspired dance lessons.I can't get "Even If" out of my head. Their cover of"My Sweet Lord" is as good as the original and fresher.I didn't like "David" because my name isn't David andI liked Ty when I met her, but this is probably deeplypsychological and should be discussed with a therapist.I did like her "Hey Rose" and "Amaze Me." This cd isdefinitely worth investigating.

I heard Girlyman play live for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and loved what I heard, I had to buy the album. "Remember Who I Am" is truely one of the most beautiful records, start to finish that I have listend to in a long time. Even if you aren't a huge folk music fan, you can't help but sit back and listen to how amazing Doris, Ty, and Nate sound together. I havent put anything else in my cd player since I bought their album. I am blown away by their harmonies everytime I listen. And each are such talented musicians as well, from Ty's steady beat, to Nate's sublte baritone, to Doris' bangela. Get this cd today...get 10, and share with your friends. And if they come to your town, dont miss the chance to see them live. You'll be glad you did.

Incredible beautiful wonderful.......2004-05-28

This has been my favorite CD for the last 7 months straight. Every song is a winner - a CD you can play from beginning to end. The harmonies go straight past all conscious thought to fill an empty space inside your soul. When the music ends the echo remains there, demanding a repeat listen.

Over time my favorite song has shifted on this CD. I was pulled in by the bold Amaze Me and joyful Postcards from Mexico. Then the wistful Montpelier. Now I find Say Goodbye and Even If to be my most frequent picks... each evoking a subtle emotion balanced between happy and sad, which, if you put the song on repeat, is sustained across endless time.

Summer at Shatter Creek writes the saddest songs you'll ever hear. Almost every song on this EP is also on All the Answers, but it's still a geeat little ep, there is not one weak track.

The music is basically guitar and keyboard with vocals, but it works perfectly in the grandest indie fashion.
