Customer Reviews:
A New Wave of Ideas from the Peepz at Blackout and Headroom.......2003-08-26
I got this as quickly as I saw it. I've been a very big fan of Mark EG and Chrissi's brand of acid techno for quite a while now. I had already heard this was gonna be a little more in the house direction and when I popped it in I wasn't too surprised - not a bad thing though. The best way I'd describe this is sort of a tribal acid tech/house sound. This cd features of couse Mark EG and Chrissi, Marco Baily, Ben Sims, Glenn Wilson, and some newer names that I hadn't been so familiar with previously towad the end. As to what I have to say for liking it the sounds were good but this is more for the dancefloor and turntables than it is for the cd player. I mean it's definitely good to listen to but if you like something that has a lot of feel, lots of vocal samples, and something that pulls you in then this may be a leave you a little flat. I gave it a 4 star rating because this is still probably better than most of the store bought techno you'll find out there, as for listening it's one of those cd's that has great sounds and hits hard but can get a little boring if your listening to it by yourself (kind of like some of T-1000's cd's). Still, if your a fan of Mark EG or UK acid techno/acid house buy it!
