    Album Description

    Spirit - The Seventh Fire is a new live recording of the show that features Chief Hawk Pope, Patrick Mirabal and many other fine performers. This was the show that had its world premiere on the National Mall in Washington D.C. during the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian. Package includes a 32 page full color booklet of images from the production. The soundtrack also includes many of the memorable words spoken by Chief Hawk Pope.

    I was flicking through the sattelite channels a while ago and saw this song being perfomed live on a german programme for the New Year. I am a flicker. I just sit there and change channels through the ad breaks to pass the time. I heard this song, just a few seconds, the opening beats, and I just had to listen to it all! I missed ten minuts of the other programme I had been watching....because I just wanted to hear all of it. Since then I've been thinking about getting it, and now I will. It's great, at least give it a listen.

    The Rednex, most famous for their campy 1995 dance hit, COTTON EYE JOE, have released a most interesting track. Following up their modest success, THE WAY I MATE, THE SPIRIT OF THE HAWK is a fascinating departure for the group. With an instantly catchy beat and an Indian-styled influence, this track is an exercise in talented subtely. I loved THE WAY I MATE, and I may just like THE SPIRIT OF THE HAWK a little bit more. It is beautiful, and perfectly crafted to capture the true essence of the European pop market.

      Two years past its initial independent release, Spirit on the Run was made more widely available, concurrently with featured tracks on hit shows Party of Five and Dawson's Creek.       Brandmeier, a Madison, Wisconsin resident who spends time in Los Angeles, writes both solo and with accomplished producer Craig J. Snider. The album, recorded in Chicago, is a combination of state-of-the-art wizardry and wooden instruments. Its timeless music, pure rock and roll rhythms tinged with overtones of funk, and urban dance grooves. In this distinctively American pastiche, Michael gives voice to these stories.       What a great CD. At first listen I thought-"yeah this is good" But after hearing it over and over I started really listening to the lyrics and they are excellent. Now I play a few of my favorites just for daily inspiration and to get that "feel good" vibe. This guy is going to be a star someday! PS-Gina Parry had a nice review but should learn how to Spell.

      I cannot believe this guy has not been all over the charts yet. I turn on the radio and here so much garbage that sells and yet this talented muscian is virtually unknown. If he was marketed and heard-he would certainly SELL CD's. Everyone I've passed this cd on to LOVED it! His lyrycs, rythyms, and vocals are amung the best in the business. Why don't I here him on the Radio? I'll tell you why-because he doesn't have some millionare backing him. If I had the money I would invest in this talent and market him to the moon because based on his stuff I would be guranteed a HUGE return on my investment. He sounds great and has feeling and meaning in his songs. I would love to see him perform live. Please let me know wear I can see him. If there is any rich guy out there PUT YOUR MONEY BEHIND THIS TALENT he's better then any other stuff on the radio plus he sounds like a REAL PERSON!

      Although probably not as immediately appealing as "Parallel Path" because it lacks that CD's soaring melodies, it is still a finely crafted piece of work with good orchestration, excellent arrangements and melodies evocative of a wild landscape. The only surprise is that work of this caliber is not better known.
