Album Description
BUFFALO DREAMING is a wonderfully original CD - an eclectic and highly entertaining mix of stories, original folk songs and ballads, soul stirring poetry, and fast-paced rhythmical creations that is sure to please all ages. Relying upon many handmade, primitive musical instruments, Hawk gratefully draws from the ancient wisdom and beauty of cultures from all over the world: from the gentle, melodious tones of the Native American flute found throughout the CD; to the fun-filled Island tune - Kokopelli Jamboree; to the deeply primal sounds of the Australian Didgeridoo as heard in the The Ancient Ones; to the subtle rhythms of the clay UDU drum, found in Udu You Think You Are, this album delivers from start to finish!

Spirit On The Run

Two years past its initial independent release, Spirit on the Run was made more widely available, concurrently with featured tracks on hit shows Party of Five and Dawson's Creek. Formerly a member of radio personality brother Johnny B's Johnny and the Leisure Coats, Michael Brandmeier on his own caters most effectively to mainstream teens in their post-Backstreet Boys/pre-Nick Drake phase. The title cut is the propulsive guitar soft rock that radio adores, while the slightly rangier "Why Do I Fall in Love" screams for a soundtrack pensive moment. Brandmeier's structurally sound tunes are cloaked in layered guitar, keyboards, and throaty balladic oversinging. His swoon factor rises with clichéd sentiment (spiritual searching coupled with a hunger for romantic satisfaction) and dark good looks, precisely the reasons his target audience champion his authenticity and remarkable ability to speak for them. --Paige La GroneAlbum Description
SPIRIT ON THE RUN BY MICHAEL BRANDMEIER Michael Brandmeier's debut release, Spirit On The Run (Silent Hawk Records) blazes a complete song cycle of passion, purpose and promise. With tracks from the CD featured on such hit TV sitcoms as the Warner Brother networks "DAWSON'S CREEK", these narratives are the struggles of love and destiny. His stories hold mirrors that clearly reflect real life, with clarity and authenticity.Brandmeier, a Madison, Wisconsin resident who spends time in Los Angeles, writes both solo and with accomplished producer Craig J. Snider. The album, recorded in Chicago, is a combination of state-of-the-art wizardry and wooden instruments. Its timeless music, pure rock and roll rhythms tinged with overtones of funk, and urban dance grooves. In this distinctively American pastiche, Michael gives voice to these stories. Highlights include: "Maybe This Time", a vivid description of a ship coming to shore with the singer holding fast to the anchor of dreams, (Featured in the Paramount Networks movie, "Dying To Live.") The title track "Spirit On The Run" is a promise of reason in this hectic world. "Heart Of Stone" is a prayer from the edge of faith, of knowing, but not believing. "Once Again" speaks of the pain of divorce and romantic break ups, (Featured in the WB networks hit sitcom "DAWSON'S CREEK". "I'd Rather Be Lonely" states that its better to be solitary than to choose the wrong partner. "A Good Man" is the story Michael's Grandfather, a man who owned a bar and kept order through a firm, old world propriety. A musician since age ten, Michael Brandmeier's unwavering commitment to his music is the cement that bonds the songs into a riveting, undeniable collection. This is real-life music from a real-life singer. Witness the truth with Spirit On The Run.

Album Description
In this, his second CD release, Harrison Edwards has created a collection of songs, which capture the essence of the Hawk Mountain experience. As you stand on North Lookout, and gaze out over the breathtaking valley below, you can feel your connection with the majesty and beauty of nature. The sounds of echoing grand pianos, vibrant acoustic guitars, string sections, flutes, and a wide array of percussion connect the listener with the Spirit of the Mountain, inviting you to soar with the thousands of hawks and migratory raptors as they pass over Hawk Mountain each year during their fall migration. The sanctuary at Hawk Mountain in Kempton, Pennsylvania is the world's most preeminent site for the study of migrating birds of prey. Through a series musical compositions, Harrison tells the story of Hawk Mountain from its beginning in the early 1900's, to the impact of Rosalie Edge - the founder of the sanctuary, and the arrival of Maurice and Irma Broun - the original caretakers of the mountain. The CD continues its story with a journey from fall migration through the arrival of winter, and into the return of the raptors in the spring.
