The 80s are over and the time has come for monogamy and trust........2006-06-17
This is essentially a 19 minute remix of "Scandalous" from the Batman soundtrack, although it's broken up into three "movements". Lots of extra stuff in this version, including saxophone playing by Eric Leeds and "pillow talk" by Kim Basinger. The "b-side" is "Sex", which is a great song that wasn't included on Prince's "The B-Sides" CD. The final song is "When 2 R in Love", a great ballad from the "Lovesexy" album. Prince fans should get off on this CD.
Creepy Prince Song.......2003-03-21
Okay, so maybe Prince gets a little carried away here. This song was meant for HEADPHONES! It is still SO much fun and just look at that cover!
A must have for any prince collector or music lover........2002-10-08
This is a must have for anyone who wants to clean up their apartment/home, put on a little incense, invite that special someone over, and create some ambiance. This is from the Batman era of 1988/89. I know a lot of people have heard prince's "Insatiable" but not "Scandalous". You are getting a raw deal. This song was on the Batman Soundtrack (the first one) and is by far one of the most sensual yet tasteful songs you will EVER hear. It is rare finds like this and impossible finds like "A Place In Heaven" that make prince a legend if NOTHING ELSE. This CD is an extended version that plays all the way through, but has breaks in it (Thank God! His Lovesexy album is runs as one song. I had to recut the song in Cool Edit Pro to make it into different songs. Otherwise, you couldn't skip from song to song!)This one has some great saxaphone playing, a great cameo from Batman star Kim Bassinger, and will definitely "set that mood" for doing "you know what".
Um, er, bible study and sipping tea. What did you think I meant?
* this gets 4/5 stars for one reason: it is NOT a full album, it is a maxi single.
I love this cd..........2001-11-09
this is a great maxi single with different versions of the "Scandalous" hit from the Batman era. :) I love Prince!
A Trip Out Song.......2000-09-28
THe melody here is classic.together with Kim Bassinger Scandalous gets a whole different vibe&Feeling.I really dug the Guitar&Sly Stone Inspired Talk Box Part. The Horn of Eric Leeds was Hitting. When 2 are in Love&Sex don't really compare after the long Version of Scandalous.it's a Trip out take.

"Music Sounds Better with You," with its infectious horn samples, groove-laden bass hooks, and a lusty Benjamin Diamond vocal slowed to a crawl, quickly went from a 1998 Winter Music Conference hit in Miami to a prime mover of dance floors everywhere, becoming one of the biggest selling house singles of all time. Masterminded by Thomas Bangalter, one half of Daft Punk, the song's a sinful pleasure. Repetition rules the record, with no verse or bridge, only a chorus ("Ooooh, baby, I feel like music sounds better with you," sung by Diamond) to propel the song. Sprinkle a little Stardust and voilà, you have a dance-music classic. --Tricia Romano

The Benchmark For All Subsequent House Music.......2006-06-16
This album is to House what "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by Led Zeppelin is to Rock. No matter how many times you hear it it still sounds just as good as the first time you heard it. Does that mean it's The Perfect House Song? I'd say so... What, you're still sitting down at your computer? Well get up and go get this CD!
ONE OF THE BEST HOUSE TRACKS EVER MADE...PERIOD........2005-03-11
MASSIVE...ANTHEMIC...EMOTIONAL....EUPHORIC..FLOORBANGING...SWEATBOXED IN...THIS RECORD DESTROYS ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WHEN DROPPED...I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A RESPONSE FROM ANY RECORD I'VE EVER HAD...ESSENTIAL...NO MUSICIAN, DJ, SINGER, OR MUSIC LOVER SHOULD BE WITHOUT THIS IN THEIR LIFE...
Just Right.......2004-12-14
First saw the video (actually heard the music first and came running) on TV when I was living in Stuttgart. Went out that afternoon and bought the single and played that CD until it melted (or just about). Between the 80's retro-ish video and the filter house/disco Daft Punk style music it just can't get any better-at least I haven't heard anything as good as or better yet-and that was almost 6 years ago (oh wow I'm getting old). I heard rumors that the cooperative that is/was Stardust was going to get together and make a full length album. Maybe it's better that they didn't and left this gem with us at the top of their game. Anyhow-its still enjoyable and will probably be for many, many years.
Great.......2004-05-15
This isnt my favourite song but it is one of my favs. I am obsessed with Daft Punk and the first time I heard this song I new it was one of Thomas Bangalter masterful tunes. I highly recomend getting your hands on this CD it is great, you would be able to really get into this CD if u can highly respect and appreciate Toms work like I do also Mr Braxe and Mr Diamond do an excellent job in this CD, So just buy it.
Pure Listening Pleasure!!!.......2003-02-13
Imaging yourself, right there on Ibiza, dancing on the sand and the warm water touching your feets...This is what this song is about and no matter how old this trully masterpiece is, everytime that you'll listen to this "you're going to dance", believe me. It just get better and better. The best French House disco filtered song. Mr Bangalter + Mr Diamond + Mr Braxe , what else could you expect from this electronic genious?.

Good Vibrations.......2007-02-18
Thios is not what I thought I was getting. It is one song peformed in a variety of ways.
PSYCHEDELIC GOLD, THIS EP ROCKS!! THE BEATLES WERE HUMBLED WITH VIBRATIONS IN 1966..... .......2007-01-13
I can still hear some hiss and tape imperfections on good vibrations. It did'nt matter to me Vibrations still sounded loud and clear and for the best part cleaned up from the original master tapes. I like the extra tracks alot. This cd is simple and sweet and sounds great despite old original tape defects. I dont believe there ever was a stereo recording for vibrations. I enjoyed this cleaned up mono version of good vibrations and besides if their was a genuine stereo original recording of vibrations from circa early to mid-1966 I think it would have surfaced by now. Besides I think mono recordings sounded better to Brian Wilson because I beleive he is deaf in one ear. Enjoy this cd ep it may one day go double or triple what it costs now. Produced for a then staggering $100,000 Good Vibrations was the exclamation point to Pet Sounds in the fall of 1966 as the Beach Boys really stuck it to the Beatles. Due to these Beach Boy releases in 1966 the Beatles would have their greatest year creativity wise in 1967 as they would answer there well armed rivals with Pennylane, Strawberry fields, and of course Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Beatles created masterpieces from Revolver to their last magnum opus Abbey Road. My honest opinion (and this might offend Beatle and rock fans in general) 'Pet Sounds" and "Good Virations" were the blueprints to all Beatle recordings from 1966 through 1969. I respect the Beatles for their writing and musical creativity. I really feel that the Beatles were so amazed by "Pet Sounds" and "Good Vibrations" that with their releases from 1966- 1969 the Beatles really tried to capture the sound of "Pet Sounds" and "Good Vibrations". There is no argument from me, the Beatles did create masterpices from 66-69 but honestly, never matched the sound of "Pet Sounds" and Good Vibrations". If it were'nt for Brians over indulgences post Pet Sounds as the song goes God Only Knows what the Beach Boys could have accomplished for the rest of the psychedelic 1960s. Man I'll tell you there has been nothing before or after that sounds like "Good Vibrations". Brian Wilson is the man, the one man who made the Beatles and Sir George Martin realize that they to could be surpassed in talent, let alone by one man and that one man is BRIAN WILSON................
I Picked Up Good Vibrations..........2007-01-10
...and found it to be a nice little "single", with different versions of the song and the original B-side, too. Short and sweet.
disappointment.......2007-01-03
Sorry but this didn't cut it for me. It sounded more like a amateur rehersal tape than what i expect from the Beach Boys!
Can't be beat!.......2006-11-10
If you are a diehard Beach Boys fan, its very important to have this if only for the memento it is. If you enjoy listening to outakes and want to get a feel of the whole production I highly recommend this wonderful little package. Its the Boys and all the studio musicians giving their all to perhaps the most complex piece of music Brian Wilson ever wrote.

Customer Reviews:
Not over-rated.......2007-02-23
People that are ordering this album are forgetting that fact that you are ordering an IMPORT cd. Needless to say, it comes from another country. Take the price increase into affect once you realize that fact. Album is wonderful and is NOT over-rated or overly pricey, contrary to popular belief.
Even more genius!.......2007-02-19
Although I have downloaded the iTunes versions of every song on this CD, I didn't have the video. In fact, I didn't have a hard copy of the songs, which is why I ordered this CD.
Not to mention, the artwork and packaging is as brilliant as the "The Eraser." Good artwork on a CD always grabs my attention. Stanly Donwood's artwork for this CD series is captivating, none more so than his work for "The Eraser." If I could, I would have prints in my home. However, since his prints were limited, it's a loss I regret. It was too late by the time I discovered "Thom Yorke's" music.
Now that I own this CD, I can say without doubt all the songs are undeniably astonishing, and perhaps slightly different from the other "Eraser" EP's. The difference could be just my imagination - I'm not sure.
Whilst "Thom Yorke's" talent (and recording technique) maintain a grip on my imagination, I can't help wonder why some of these songs weren't part of "The Eraser" project itself. I'm thinking of songs such as "Jetstream," "Iluvya," "A Rat's Nest" and, "The Drunk Machine" from another EP.
Yet, I daren't carp. It would do me no good.
These songs are haunting, and play 'round and 'round in ones mind. They are recorded with remarkable precision over and above the attention paid to the smallest detail contained in them.
It follows for me to refer to the sequencing of this EP. Whomever sequenced this EP nailed it well. Other EP's with the same or similar songs sometimes can be a bit unbalanced. Since sequencing can make or break a project I find this is not the case for this project.
Those in to a degree of comparison among past recordings (and technique) by "Thom Yorke" and "Radiohead," bewilder me somehow. Such assessments make it difficult to understand any reason for drawing attention away from this CD. What one hears on these B-sides (if that's what they really are, as I consider them A-sides) is unparalleled artistry. Such artistry does not require vulgar flash. Glitz would be too much for "Yorke" - or "Radiohead."
I should think over the years, "Radiohead" and "Thom Yorke" fans (if that's what we are-, horrid word fan) can rationally forecast a varying degree of artistic expression after each excursion into a studio. Funnily enough, though, they never lose their established essence. With "Thom Yorke's" "Spitting Feathers" and "The Eraser" that is exactly what one gets, a different form of artistry - but one knows it is the work of "Thom Yorke." There is artistic skill on this CD (and "The Eraser") well beyond what one normally hears everywhere else these days.
As a classical music connoisseur, I have nonetheless, always been a "Zep" fan, as well as a fan of others in the same genre.
Even so, the work of "Thom Yorke" (and "Radiohead") fit a style of expression that is unique. "Thom Yorke" simply cannot be compared to anyone nor suppressed. Since "Thom Yorke" and "Radiohead" are new to me, there is unquestionably a wealth of imagination and inspiration in their entire catalog, which I'm reveling in. This speaks to the power of the right music in great motion pictures. In fact, the movie "A Scanner Darkly" introduced me to "Thom Yorke" and "Radiohead."
As a result, for me, these songs alone are well worth the coin. To be sure, this rare CD will (one day) cost three times as much from those who sell out-of-print rare LP's, rare CD's, and press packs.
Lastly, the video is marvelous. Although I don't excessively praise music videos often, I must say I like the "Harrowdown Hill" video. The imagery and subject matter is relevant. The video is a bonus for those who have only seen it online. I had only seen it once. Thus, I welcome this CD. It has everything music lovers want.
Good music; poor video quality.......2007-02-07
This EP is very overpriced. Though I like the music tracks that are on it, it's just not worth the price. The quality of the video (as in the encoding, not the production) is so low that that doesn't add much value to the purchase either. I'd venture to guess you could find a higher-quality encoding of the video on bittorrent somewhere. This purchase is only for the most most hardcore fans and collectors.
Worth it for True Fans.......2007-02-07
It's more from Mr. Yorke. Need I say more?
Enjoyable, but pricey........2007-01-14
Spitting Feathers is a fine little collection of 5 b-sides. One of them is a remix of "Harrowdown Hill", but the others are all brand new (although I assume they were available on Japanese singles or someplace). It makes for an interesting EP that does a good job of complementing The Eraser. There are a couple songs on here that I like better than those that made the LP cut. "Iluvya" is a silly idea, but it makes for a strangely endearing song. The remix of "Harrowdown Hill" is better than the original.
The only real negative about this collection is its price. I managed to find a used version for $5 at my local shop. It's a no-brainer at that price. At listprice, though, it's probably only worth it for hardcore Yorke fans.

The latest Top Ten Dance Release from Grammy Winning Artist Jody Watley is a modern makeover of the CHIC classic! For all generations!!
Album Description
Jody Watley's second single from her critically acclaimed LP The Makeover. Watley makes over the Chic classic for modern dancefloors. Remixes by Soulcast Icon, Morgan Page, Masi + Mello, Shawn Q, Angel Manuel, Cristian Paduraru, Danny Krivit, Chindigital and more.
Customer Reviews:
Brilliant!.......2007-05-23
The Soulcast remix alone is worth the price of this CD single. Jody has struck gold once again with this fantastic remake of the Chic classic. It's truly a shame that Jody no longer gets the attention that she deserves.
Warm, Sensual....WATLEY!.......2007-05-17
A cover of the 1979 Chic disco classic, Jody Watley's cover of "I Want Your Love" sounds more sincere in its feminist assertion of sexuality than the original. Exquisitely sung by Watley, the track boasts several remixer reinterpretations.
Of course, the most well-known remix is the Soulcast Icon mix (available here in both full and edited forms). The gentlemen of Soulcast -- Massimo Sanna and Franceso Giovanni respectively -- effortlessly recast the song as a ecstasy-fueled circuit synth-track. The Masi and Mello Late Nite Vocal Mix continues in this vein, though it is considerably darker than the other mixes. The Morgan Page Sunset Strip Mix is the most subdued (and atmospheric) remix on the single -- though no less sexy. And Watley's impassioned contralto is on display throughout, inspiring in its rawness -- enticing in its warm and passionate delivery.
"I Want Your Love" easily reaffirms Jody Watley's status as one of souful dance music's most agile singer/performers!
THIS IS JODY WATLEY AT HER SUPER BEST YET!!!.......2007-04-07
Avid music lovers such as myself will instantly think "Shalamar" or "Looking For A New Love" when they hear the name JODY WATLEY. If you're not familiar with this name or the music of this artist, then you must be under the age of 20, in which case you're forgiven for not knowing. However, the 30 somethings amongst us know what I'm talking about. When Jody Watley emerged on the scene as a solo artist, many people thought that she would just dissappear after one hit or two. But she proved them all wrong when she won the Grammy Award for best new artist, as well as garnering a few other nominations! This lady rivaled even MADONNA herself in popularity, in style, in songwriting, and it was her second album "Larger Than Life" that established Jody Watley as a pop icon, or as some like to refer to her, "The Queen Of Class". While the mainstream seemed to have lost an interest in Jody Watley, her fans never did. Because Jody Watley is not an artist one can place in any one category. Not only can she do pop music, she also does funk, she is an incredible jazz vocalist (have a listen to the song "After You, Who", which is featured on the album "Red Hot & Blue: A Tribute To Cole Porter"), she is also an incredible balladeer (listen to "It All Begins With You" on her "Affairs Of The Heart" album), and always wanting to travel different avenues, she took a trip down the Dance genre, to create two exceptionally acclaimed albums "Midnight Lounge" and "The Saturday Night Experience". Are you warming up to Jody Watley yet? Well, you should! Because next to being a singer, she is also a fantastic songwriter and producer, AND she owns her own record label, Avitone Records. Now, let's talk about miss Watley's last album "The Makeover". Or better yet, go and buy it! All I have to say about that album is: "This is how it's done, period!"
Her most recent single "I Want Your Love" is an incredibly "made over" version of the version that made the group "Chic" famous. There are 10 remixes of this song on this EP and I must tell you that every remix holds its own! My favorites are:
- The Soulcast Icon Mix
- Morgan Page Sunset Strip Mix
- Cristian Paduraru Vocal Mix
- Shwan Q Soltribe Mix
- Danny Krivit Edit
- Chin Digital House Party Mix
I would like to say that I am in no way, shape or form affiliated to Jody Watley, her management or recording company. I am merely her biggest fan in The Netherlands. Give this single a try, and I GUARANTEE you that it will have you on your feet in mere seconds!

This is a must for all Toad fans!.......1999-12-17
This is not a well known CD but one that should be in every true Toad fan's music library. Great acoustic performances in both studio and live settings. Also a must for anyone who has seen them live in concert. Too bad these guys broke up, they put on a great show. This CD is one way to experience that forever.
Great Acoustic Set.......1999-10-25
This is a GREAT CD. Of course, anything Toad is automatic greatness, and when you add acoustic and live to the equation you have a sure-fire win on your hands. It's well worth buying, especially if you like the songs "Something's Always Wrong" (Great studio acoustic version) and "Walk On The Ocean" (Randy Guss calls it one of two possible quintessential Toad songs--and just listen to that chorus live!!) I just wish there weren't those dang breaks in mid-conversation.....
Miss Them When They're Gone.......1999-07-24
Glen's clear voice and humanness PLUS the band's chemistry made for awesome live shows -- and a fine acoustic EP. On the anniversary of the breakup, missing them a good deal!
Best acoustic set I have ever heard.......1999-07-24
This is by far the best acoustic set out there, all five songs are just right on the money. If your a Toad fan then this is a must buy. The recording of "Somethings Always Wrong" is the best mix yet of that particular recording.
A fabulous set of great songs live........1998-08-24
This is a must have for toad fans. Hearing a band live brings you closer to the music, and the four live tracks on this cd are really great. It's also got an acoustic version of 'Somethings Always Wrong' which they recorded right after someone broke into their studio. Ironic? Altough it contains only five songs, it's well worth the buy.

Must Buy for Any Juggalo/Lette.......2006-02-01
The title says it all. If you're a Juggalo/Lette and you don't own this... then get it MCL!!!
good, but wouldn't buy.......2004-12-17
These are two really good christmas songs by ICP. The songs themselves would both earn 5 stars but its really pointless to buy this when both of them are on Forgotten Freshness 1+2. But if you have the extra money it'd be cool to show it off I guess.
Silent Night...Violent Fight.......2003-02-19
This single is short but sweet. Its usually cheap too, so I say its worth the price. Now, I know these tracks are already featured on Forgotten Freshness volumes 1 & 2, and the original Carnival X-Mas ep, but if your a collector, which you problably are since your reading this, you will want this in your collection. I would recommend the original but it isn't very easy to find these days since its basically out of print but you can catch them on the webstore(if your lucky).
'Santa's A Fat Bxtch' is the bomb diggity, a humorous track but a classic. When I say classic, I mean old school "I remember those days..." classic. It serves as a good song to sing when you and your homies are bored or whatever.
'Red Christmas' is the last track and is fatter then your mother. Hehe just playing. This song is phat though, its a good track but nothing outstanding.
My words of advice are to buy this or get buyed. Foe real.

Not An ICP Holiday.......2000-03-24
The worst of ICP I'd say. It's rare though, so it's straight. Annoying in a way, but good for the x-mas season. Only for Juggalo's.
A Carnival Christmas 97.......1999-12-21
Thiz iz a good cd BUT if you can get a hold of a 4 track Carnival Christmas i would suggest you buy that one and send me one too cause the 4 track iz fresh az h£ll later brad

Customer Reviews:
Kula is back!.......2007-07-06
So here is the totally unexpected return from Kula Shaker, who reformed last year.
Definitely a solid EP- Revenge of the King is a great song, and Troubodor is a Kula classic (very Rubber Soul Beatles sounding). Dictator of the Free World is a demo version of the lead single off 2007's full-length "Strangefolk", this version being slower and not a "full". And Six Feet Down is an average song, reminds me of Zeppelin (not to mention some lyrics that come straight from Physical Graffiti's "In My Time of Dying").
Finally, and contrary to what Amazon says of above, is a live version of Govinda (NOT Grateful When You're Dead) from a Japanese radio session.
Contains lyrics in both English and Japanese. Cool artwork. Worthy pickup for any Kula Shaker fan- anyone new to the group should check out 1996's "k" and this year's "Strangefolk" first.
God bless Kula shaker.......2007-05-29
Revenge of the king is a solid new release from a band that split too early in their career. Its good to have them back once again. The album has an anti-bush undercurrent flowing throughout the album. The only song that truly reminds of "vintage" kula shaker is Troubador which is a fantastic song. Musically the quartet has expanded their sound from the pschedelic trimmings of previous offerings but don't worry their is plenty of organ to keep fans satisifed.
The title track Revenge of The King starts with the classic shaker swagger and defintely proves they are back witha vengence. Dictator of the free world is more interesting lyrically than musically but the chorus is a not so subtle jab at the commander in chief. Troubador my personal favorite track off of the e.p. Is a pleasing mix of dylan and beatles and is a true highlight in the groups entire cataloge.six feet down is the albums biggest departure for the group sounding more like soundgarden than the doors. Imagine sound garden with a bizzare gospel twist. All in all Revenge of The King is a fantastic release that should not be over looked. The forthcoming full length album "Strangefolk" will be a great change for the current diluted musical landscape. Kula Shaker reigns once again!
