One of the best..........2006-07-10

...live albums of all time. It ranks up there with Alive and Strangers in the Night. The sound quality and mixing are much better than on Live in the Raw or The Sting. The old favs are there like Animal and Love Machine but the true gems are "The Idol" and the "Crimson Idol Medley", both of which will blow you away. A must have for the WASP fan and metal fans in general. You won't go wrong with this album.

WASP es una de las mas grandes bandas de Gore Glam en el mundo del rock. El disco doble es un excelente balance de canciones del inicio de su carrera. Los medleys dan un balance entre los inicios y anterior a este disco.

Lo que siempre faltara en las opciones que tiene WASP sera siempre un video para ver la calidad y el poder que presentan en sus cociertos.

Es interesante ver la potencia, la velocidad de los solos en guitarra despues de la explosion del grudge en los noventas.

Aunque es muy bueno como un album en vivo, por razones sentimentales, prefiero el disco en vivo "Live...in the RAW", que fue grabado cuando WASP era un espectaculo de estadios o al menos de auditorios medianos.

Haven't seen or heard much about W.A.S.P. in awhile now,but I know they still exist.'Double Live...' is a good 2-CD release that was recorded live on their 1997 tour.Have heard a few old school fans comment this record is pretty lame.I didn't get that at all from 'Double...' If anything,it's just longer than any set I've ever seen Blackie Lawless and the boys play in concert.Duration is 101 minutes.Tracks I couldn't get enough of were "On Your Knees/I Don't Need No Doctor",their once banned single "Animal(F**k Like A Beast)","Love Machine","I Wanna Be Somebody",their cover of The Who's "The Real Me","Headless Children" and "Mean Man".Yes,I do realize there are several cuts from their self-titled debut lp here.What a powerful metal band!I mean for a bunch of Alice Cooper wanna be's.

BEST OF W.A.S.P. LIVE ALBUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2001-09-07

This cd it's very good. Contains all the clasics W.A.S.P. tracks ("Animal", "Iwanna be somebody"," The Idol", etc.) and very powerful tracks from the "K.F.D." album, but the sound of Chris Holmes in the cd it's very low, and his solos are very quiet, the drums soundS very noizy, and Blackie's voice sounds very noizy, powerful an sometimes very sad. I like the first song album: "The Medley", 10 minutes of the W.A.S.P. best music in the double live album.

Great Live Album...........2001-05-06

I bought DLA not knowing how it would sound. I thought that it would be similar to Live in the Raw, IT IS NOT! It is 10x better and you get 2 CD's with this set. Blackie Lawless and Company out did themselves with this show. The best HONEST "LIVE" album that has come out in the last 10 yrs. You will not be dissappointed.

A REAL STING (STILL) LEFT IN THIS TALE.......2005-01-25

Coming of the relatively high profile reunion of Lawless and Holmes and the subsequent modernised "KFD" release came "Double Live Assassins". Here we have a double live album in the best traditions of an "Alive" or "Live and Dangerous" brim full with passion, sweat and fist thumping glory. Certainly if you wanted a way to display what W.A.S.P represents then this would be a fine place to start. Kicking out with a fabulous four part medley made up of classics galore you know from the outset that the band has the goods and is going to deliver. Even the "Crimson Idol" material sounds lifted and inspired. Highlights of disc one are, well all of disc one. Never that comfortable with the "KFD" album it really shines in a live setting and clearly once stripped back to the usual bands raw style it works far better, sounding manevolant indeed. Besides that you get the wonderful "L.O.V.E Machine" with a great bass sound that makes this the best version I have heard of this great tune, same too with "I Wanna Be Somebody" that is driven by this great line up to new heights. Just tune into the drumming. "The Real Me" has keyboard samples on it which recreate the studio aspects well and add another tecture to the sound. Again a great bass and drum combo. Disc two fires up with "Blind in Texas" never a favourite of mine, but a faithful version none the less. We then move into the more structured and intellectual stuff with "The Headless Children" and an "Idol Medley". Not too long in content to bore the listener both have been adapted well to a fired up live setting. Closing things out is "Mean Man/Rock n Roll To Death" which leaves no question that this band is as intense and as much fun as when they started way back when. Keeps your attention at over 100 minutes in the best possible way. My ears are still ringing.

If you have never seen W.A.S.P. in concert, then buy this album and you'll feel like you have. It's an experience that no one else can duplicate and definitely worth the money!!!
