Remember this one?? I SURE DO!!.......2005-11-18
I still own this and let it kick my ass everey once in a while!
Very presonal for me because in my Freshman year in high school..tough time's..this album was my bible!!!! I must have listened to this like 3 or 4 time's a day for around 3 month's..it just spoke to me and still does in some aspect's!
I use to jam this on the headphone's in the wood's as well..good memorie's!!
What is really neat is V.O.D. were very much..V.O.D.!!! I cant really say anyone compare's to this album..maybe the CRO-MAG's..but only for what the album represent's..FRUSTRATION!!
The whole New York vibe is very present here..just like with CARNIVORE/TYPE O, LIFE OF AGONY..ect!
BUY IT..ESP IF YOU ARE 15 AND HATE SCHOOL!!! I WAS THE SAME WAY..WELL I STILL HATE SCHOOL..BUT AM DONE WITH THAT ZOG RIDE!! YOU WILL BE TO ONE DAY!!
Our Generation Slapped with a F*&King X.......2005-06-14
This cd changed my entire opinion of Hardcore music...
The first time I heard this cd it blew me away. So much agression and anger yet so complex.
I actually heard "ZoneZero" on a snowboard compilation cd and my jaw dropped... I had to buy it.
The album starts with "Element" and it is quite possibly my fav. hardcore song of all time. There is something like nine riffs before they repeat one. There are so many highlights on this album the formentioned "Element" and "ZoneZero" but also "Through my Eyes", "D.T.O", and "Excess" are all highlights of this Magnum Opus.
Everything the Vocals,(and Lyrics)Guitars, and espeshilly the bass and Drum work is stunning.
Get this cd you will not be sorry.

V.o.d........2004-10-08
There's not much hardcore bands that made me say "oh man, those guys can play" that was untill i heard about vision of disorder...These guys have been writing amazing lirycs, they have a killer production , and, their agression is hard to keep up with, even for some one who loves the most brutal form of extreme deathmeal/grind. Vod's selftitle is my fav album by them because of the amazing music quality and the passion of the music. Hardcore doesn't get any better then vod. I recommend!
True essences of a hardcore masterpiece........2004-06-24
In the mid 90's you seem hardcore acts like snapcase, candiria, earthcrisis etc... But none of those bands can touch vod's ability if they tried!I bought this selftitle album the day it was release exect and i still pretty much listing to it and still enjoy it very much so and more then i enjoyed it before---Every track sounds perfect and crystal clear production as well. Strictly for pure hardcore lovers out there. Top hardcore bands in the mids 90's are "candiria", "vod" , and,"earth crisis" can't get any better then that right there!
Vision Of Disorder...Through My Eyes.......2002-11-23
Lets see...This album is a masterpiece. Its uncut, raw hardcore heavy metal. If you do not like hardcore screaming and raw music sadly this is not the album for you. The album starts off with "Element," an extremely hardcore track with awesome vocals and amazing guitar-work. I've seen this track become very popular after I've let a few of my friends hear it. Another great song is "Through My Eyes," as above mentioned in my title. I chose this title, because this is one of my favorite tracks from this album, or better yet this band. I don't know why this track appeals so much to me. But the day I bought it I was hooked worse then a withdrawn junkie with 20 dollars and no dealer. This track includes the lyric "Pull the fukking trigger watch your head combust." Thats enough said right there!
"Divide". What can't I say about "Divide"? Its a short, fast and angry track. If you love deep screams you'll crank this one up.
And to my favorite and ending track of the album. Gloom. Its simply beautiful. I'm breathless when I hear it. Breathless...I can't even put it in words.......
In Conclusion. This is definitely real music. Its not Nu-Metal. Its not even Metal. Its just Real Music. This album or any other album by them will never die. Its powerful and raw, hardcore and angry. Real emotions...Real musicianship...Its beautiful...Plain and simple...

Clone Rock.......2006-07-07
For what it's worth this band is worth listening to. They're not terrible. Real agressive and abusive sound was a bit ahead of it's time. However I have to give this 3 stars because it's a blunt rip off of Pantera's "The Great Southern Trenskill" CD that came out prior to this in 1996. They have Phil Anselmo doing guest vocals one one track to start and topped it off with a song called "Twelve Steps To Nothing" in the wake of Pantera's "Thirteen Steps To Nowhere". ...no, really it's true. Credit is due for first CD to make it big from ripping off at the time under rated Pantera.
HELL YES!!!!.......2005-12-14
One of my fave's from age 15(all vod before tvt was!)..I still own this and it still can cause some serious damage!!
What this is ..is so unique and I will no longer stand by and let faggot ''emo'' poser band's try and ripp this off..THIS BAND IS ONE OF THE ORIGINATOR's for their style of METAL and HARDCORE!!
Tim Williams again spill's hig lung's for us, and the instrument's are FANFUKKINGTASTIC!!! this is even beautiful at time's!!
A MANDATORY LISTEN...TAKE MY WORD FOR IT..AND O SO UNDERATED!!!!
12 Steps to Hardcore Metal.......2005-06-14
The second full length album by these hardcore maniacs... And surprisingly it is even heavier then their self-titled debut.
IMPRINT is one vicious, raw, album, more metal on this and more insanity... The album begins with "What you Are" and doesn't begin to let up until after track #5 "Imprint" (Also has some Phil Anselmo on "By the River") #6 is "Colorblind" is the highlight of this album... Amazing Lyrics - so much emotion - And it ends with Jada Bloom an epic Metal Romance. Again Tim Williams is truly a poet.

Hardcore + Metal = The Perfect Combination.......2005-04-09
Vision of Disorder did it again. They released another masterpiece. It doesn't sound like the first, but it still sounds extremely wicked. "By The River" is a great track, featuring Pantera/Down/Superjoint Ritual voc box Phil Anselmo. "Imprint", the single, will always remain a classic for me, and so will "What You Are" and "12 Steps Towards Nothing". This is some great stuff here. Great, classic stuff from the vaults of Roadrunner records. Check out Tim William's and Tim Kennedy's new band, Bloodsimple. They bring back the brutality in rock.
Underlying Genius.......2005-02-15
This album is truly incredible. It has an unrelenting power, and I don't just mean it's loud and noisy - which is how a lot of metal/hardcore fans define 'power'. This isn't just noise. This is orchestrated rawness - a contradiction in terms? - not if you can get to grips with this album. It's not just a collection of disjointed tracks, which I fear many similar bands tend to release. It's an intelligent mix of tracks that come together to create a near perfect hardcore album, in my opinion. I grew up on this kinda stuff, it was my staple genre. But recently, a good 6 years after purchasing this album, I dug it back out from the depth of my collection. With a wide grin I put it into the player and that grin remained for the duration of "Imprint". I fear that there is an underlying genius to this album that the majority of people can not appreciate. I wasn't really a huge fan of the first album, but "For the Bleeders" and the new album "From Bliss to Devastation" are both brilliant albums. "Imprint" however is a level above. It's not brilliant, its genius and it's VOD at their best. I hope you enjoy this album as much and for as long as I have.

This is brutal. The third album from the East Coast's Vision of Disorder doesn't let up on the anger or relentless riffing for one second, as the musicians thrash and groan their way through the turbocharged likes of "Living to Die" and "Sunshine," sounding like a demented cross between Slayer and Marilyn Manson. The title track puts Cradle of Filth to shame, while "Downtime Misery" is just plain scary. This is sheer, unadulterated headbanging nirvana. --Everett True
Album Description
Straight outta Strong Island, New York. Vision Of Disorder is a 5-piece rock band, set to dominate with their debut TVT release, From Bliss To Devastation. This record was born out of pain and suffering. The intense, pounding images and rock fury that Vision Of Disorder has built upon from their previous records is shown from the moment that they launch into the albums first track Living To Die.
Customer Reviews:
I would die without this CD.......2007-05-21
Vision of Disorder is one of my favorite bands but this is my favorite cd by them. It's not as heavy with the screaming as Imprint or older VoD but its the best. Tim shows his all around singing abilitys on this album. My favorite songs are "Living To Die", "Southbound", and "Pretty Hate." "Pretty Hate" is one of the most interesting songs with a dark side to the lyrics and a grunge style to the sound like Alice In Chains. Of course "Southbound" is my favorite song by VoD ever its got the best beat. If your a big Vision Of Disorder fan you cannot miss out on this CD!
another great cd from VOD.. too bad they broke up.......2006-03-17
When it first came out, i couldn't wait to get it. It sold out everywhere where i lived. I'm just sorry i waited as long as i did to get it becuase i had other cd's on my list i was dying to get. Anywho, this cd i think is one of VOD's best. I thought "For The Bleeders" was the best when i got it, but VOD again proves me wrong. Every cd they released just kept getting better and better as they went on. Too bad they broke up, cuase i would of loved to have heard more from them. They formed Bloodsimple in case you didn't know. Williams and i forget the other guy's name from VOD is in that group. Check that cd out as well, Bloodsimple "A Cruel World".
I street teamed for VOD and my sample cd's to hand out had "Living To Die" and "On The Table" on them. I def. loved the song "Living to Die" when i first heard it. It was the 1st song i heard off the cd when it came out on sampler. As usual, my swag disappeared in seconds. This cd is by far one of my fave's of VOD's, w/ "For The Bleeders" coming in 2nd.
I love every song on this cd except for "On The Table" and "Itchin' To Bleed". "On The Table" i just can't get w/ the beat that's on it... it's kinda a boring song to me. "Itchin' To Bleed" is growing on me day by day, and i'm starting to like it, but i love the rest of the cd over these 2 songs. Since i love the whole cd, i'd have to say my most fave songs are: "Living To Die", "Sunshine", "Southbound", "From Bliss To Devastation", and "Regurgitate" as being my stand out tracks. Every song is pretty much hard, but the things i like about "Sunshine" and "From Bliss to Devastation" is they go slow and funky in certain points. "From Bliss..." almost gets bluesy on the guitars. The cd is just really great, i can't really say anything more about it w/o reiterating things i've already said.
It's def. worth paying $20 if you have too.
I know I'm the liar.......2006-01-28
I'm quite niave when it comes to Vision Of Disorder since I only heard of them through Bloodsimple. I kept hearing how VOD was so much better than Bloodsimple so I figured with a recommendation like that I couldn't resist, and From Bliss To Devastaion was the record I ended up getting.
I'll admit the first time I heard From Bliss To Devastation I didn't like it. It wasn't until recently, actually, that I even started to like Tim's singing voice, but once I started liking it through Bloodsimple's release I decided to go back and give this CD another chance. In the long run VOD has become a slight favorite over Bloodsimple. I don't know what it is but this CD has that 'x factor' that Bloodsimple's debut was lacking. Each song sounds completely different from the next and the vocals never sound the same from one song to another.
One thing I like about this band is how they can be heavy without being overly heavy. Living To Die is a good example, it's really a heavy song but they seem to base their playing on Tim's vocals at that moment. Then there's the times when they use sound effects to give the song a different feel than the rest, particularly in Itchin' To Bleed. Sunshine, a personal favorite of mine, has a very good overall message to it, plus it shows Tim's abilities, be it screaming, singing, whatever, he does it well. There's also the chorus-driven tracks such as Downtime Misery where the song thrives during the chorus and isn't as strong throughout the verses. You also have the vocal distortion accompanied by the heavy riffs, like in Overrun, one of the CDs true standouts.
My favorite songs are Living To Die, Sunshine, Downtime Misery, Overrun, and Regurgitate. Not a lot of bad things can be said about this CD, but people will always find something to complain about. Vision Of Disorder is just a band, people are sure to hate them but I'm not finding a thing to not like about them yet.
AWESOME.......2005-12-23
this is one of my favourite bands check my profile for more bands like this.
What Happened???.......2004-12-07
Wow is all I can say. What happened to VOD? I owned their 1st album and loved it for the raw energy and positive lyrics hidden behind the pummeling guitars. I picked up their latest and must say I am quite saddened to find that VOD has turned into a wannabe chimaira/switched/Damage Plan. Is it still hard? Yes. Is it straight ahead hardcore? No. The first 5-6 songs plod along with no real originallity and nothing to differentiate one between the other. The 2nd hald of the album picks up a little, but not much.
What happened to these guy? They were a hardcore band and now they have tried to turn into some kind of metal band and they sound the same as about 8 other bands out in the market today. If this is their attempt to appeal to a larger fan base then i expect they won't have a record deal in 2-3 years

This is the first time I have seen this release (both "Imprint" and "S/T" on one CD) I have both of these albums individually and they are amazing! I would recommend buying this CD to get both albums at the same time. Just to let you VOD fans know, there is a new band from the ashes of VOD called "Bloodsimple" and here is a link if your interested:

This CD is pretty much a joke.....They took great songs and tried to redo them and made them sound awful....Check out "still" if you want to hear what this once great band was about...or search on soulseek for the demos of the other songs they redid..don't support this band and thier money grubbing efforts....
V.O.D. at their prime.......2003-04-07
Absolutly astounding! Vision of Disorder's 1999 album 'For the Bleeders' is the straight up best hardcore album out there today. I've been a Vision of Disorder fan for quite some time now, and I have collected all their albums. I have to admit though, every morning I find myself comming back to 'For the Bleeders' because of its intestly hard vocals/drums/ and guitars. This album is Tim Williams in his prime. I recommend this album to anyone who is ready for something harder than metal music. This album is an example of 100% straight up hardcore music. Enjoy!
Intense music and lyrics.......2002-05-24
Any kid from the suburbs will be able to relate to this music. These guys are straight out of the sprawling insanity which is Long Island. My good friends in high school turned me on to this group. And although I'm not a fan of most loud or heavy metal stuff, this band is really good. People complain that they've sold out since signing with Roadrunner. I'll admit that their new songs sound overly produced. But VOD still has a few gem albums that are worth checking out. "You taught me your way to ascend. Now I'm choking on the apathy.....My mind, a purity within itself." This is an example of the angst and emotion involved in the lyrics on this album. Peace.

The disc that started it all.......2002-04-05
VOD is one of my favorite bands, they helped open up a whole new genre of music to me. I was very happy to hear that "Still" was being re-released with bonus tracks, it's just too good of a disc to just remain out of print. This is VOD in the beginning before getting signed to the major label Roadrunner. Many people consider this to be VOD's best work and it's hard to argue with them. I can only imagine the reaction from fans of the hardcore scene when the demo was first released.
If you're a fan, you've gotta have this!!!!!.......2001-08-23
This is VOD's original recordings, after their demos and before their debut on Roadrunner (the "drop" album). The only real flaw with this disc is I would've loved to have seen them throw on more tracks like "7/13", "Formula For Failure" and "Suffer". Again, these are different recordings: they're much more raw and hardcore than the later versions of these songs. If you don't have this, trust someone who was there when they first came on the scene, I've seen them countless times through the years and this is their absolute best.
IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER..........2001-06-26
I have seen VOD play several times...and let me tell you, if you ever see one band play...make it them. The emotion is so strong, the music so loud, and the lyrics so salty. this is their first major release and it is a great one to start off with. If you are a VOD fan, or just a fan of good hard, in your face hardcore from the edge, then you have to pick this up. You will not be dissappointed. Also check out Starkweather...another great hard band that any hardcore fan is sure to love. YOU SHOULD BUY EVERY VOD CD...June 26th--From Bliss to Devastation...don't miss it!

This is brutal. The third album from the East Coast's Vision of Disorder doesn't let up on the anger or relentless riffing for one second, as the musicians thrash and groan their way through the turbo-charged likes of "Living to Die" and "Sunshine," sounding like a demented cross between Slayer and Marilyn Manson. The title track puts Cradle of Filth to shame, while "Downtime Misery" is just plain scary. This is sheer, unadulterated headbanging nirvana. --Everett True
Customer Reviews:
lost vision.......2001-08-15
Vision of Disorder has sharply departed from thier hardcore roots and is flexing thier artistic muscles on this record. Although many fans enjoyed the energy and aggression of previous albums the band thinks thier old style was worn out and while once revolutionary is now stale. They have produced an album while ear friendly is lacking in energy and insite.
It's different but it's still great.......2001-07-05
I thought it was an excellent cd. i think it is different from their other albums. There is more singing on this one which definitely adds to the album. It's a change but a nice one. I definitely recommend picking it up. They still have that their awesome sound.
definitely their best cd..........2001-07-05
this cd is amazing! it's filled with powerful grooves and riffs that will knock you down. the vocals are great too...perfect mixture of singing/screaming.
their other cds are great, especially their self-titled, but this cd tops them all. it's vod progressing to yet again another level. all the power to 'em.
PICK UP THIS ALBUM!!

Its ok but not their best.......2001-06-27
This is a pretty good album, buts its no imprint. Its different because there is alot more actual singing than screaming which i would rather prefer, but in all its its worth picking up if ur into vod.
