Customer Reviews:
KT is for the masses.......2003-12-07
Techno has vitality and upbeat rhythms that shines with self-confidence.
Zeroxed, the first track, has "captured the beat", that "we can make it" and "go" with spirit. Great tune to introduce a cd. Very good beats and loops.
UHF has an high pitch loop irritant. The overall track is not bad, good beat, some acid loops, loopy waves, and a very good synth piano.
Visual Attack is more industrial, with hammer on steel beat, wistles, a jackhammer loop, and a semi ambient middle that smooths out to a nice trance. I like the occasional electric voice that appears. Could be better.
Moby gets right to it with a acid loop. Great beat with voices and rhythm machines. "Go" is a promising intro to Moby, Yeeaaahhh!!
Oh Yeah ! A great techno tune. Exciting intro beats and loops. Later rhythms give it a fortifying energy that makes you want to dance your head off. What a blast !
Church of Extacy is a rave in a church that went mad. Over the top (with a good beats added) with hysteric voices overs. I would think the flock is way off with this one.
Mr. Dynomite is a techno tribute to that comic, Jimmie JJ Walker. Good agressive beats, rifts, and loops punctuate with JJ's "DYNOMITE!" (Go to http://www.amdest.com/stars/jjwalker.html}
Gazza is a delightful dance tune. Keeps you on you feet. An excellent rift keeps the elixir of bright and sharp melodies going. Does make you nod your head with the beat.
God Intended is a religiously good time. Not as great as some of the tracks but enjoyable. God does indeed intend for us to have good times !
Indians go though the motions of techno but I think it from a American Indian song that repeats to pointlessness. Good ambient middle that smooth out to a trance but breaks into a yahoo yokel.
I do recommend this and the other two cds as a great collection of techno tunes.
The Killer Techno Series.......2003-09-26
The first song on here which is called "Zeroxed" by Zero Zero is a really good song. The 2nd and 3rd song is ok, acutally they both have some good qualities to it.. but at the same time can be annoying. The 2nd song "UHF" by UHF & Moby has a good beat but there is this sound in it that would drive u crazy if u played it too much, it would be good in a mix for about 30sec but not for 4min...
The 3rd song "Visual Attack" - by Aircut is a pretty decent song, it has good rhythem & beat, but in certain areas of the song it could be annoying as well. But otherwise a good song. The 4th song "Go (Rainforest Mix)"- by Moby is a decent mix of "Go", but is only a decent song overall i think.
The 5th song "Oh Yeah" - by Niko, finally gets into a real techno/trance beat, its one of the best songs on this album.
The 6th song "Church Of Extacy" - by Church Of Extacy, is a pretty good song, but again one of those songs that can get annoying (but not too annoying), it does have a raw techno beat to it, its another one of my fav songs on here. The 7th song on here "Mr. Dynomite"- by Liquid Metal is my fav song on this cd & mabye one of the best techno songs i've heard.
Songs 8, 9, & 10 arent as good though, they have good beats that can be used in a mix as well but not worth the time to listen to if u have already. My guess though is these songs are really old not from 92' but from 88-92. I'm not sure what the date on these songs are (which is nice to know) but im guessing most of them are from 89'
My opinion, buy this cd after the other 2 Killer Techno cds first, if u got both of those cds then add this cd to your collection, this cd is worth getting.
