Industrial hardcore at his peak !.......2004-09-09
In my own opinion, 'Force Fed' was, and still is, the perfect balance, between melody and energy/fury, we can find in an 'hardcore album'. Issued in the late eighties, this album contains many 'hits' of the genre ('forgery', 'the taming', 'bought and sold', the amazing 'look up at the sun' and many more...). What a pity it didn't encounteer a largest audience... After all these years, I consider 'Force Fed' beeing an essential both of Prong and the hardcore scene.
Experimental Hardcore.......2004-08-28
Most of the people who know of Prong found out about them in 1990 and beyond. 1990 was when they signed with a major label and released the album Beg to Differ. They made a video or two which got their fair share of play on MTV Headbangers Ball, they got played on radio stations like KNAC, and they became known to metal heads world wide. What these metal heads didn't know was that Prong had been around since 1985, and they weren't always a metal band.
During the 80s, Prong was more of a hardcore band. They were part of the NYC CBGBs scene, but they didn't get the notoriety or respect that bands like Agnostic Front or the Cro-Mags got. The main reason for this was that Prong wasn't your average garden variety hardcore band, they were kinda weird. They were into some Noise/Industrial stuff. In fact, drummer Ted Parsons had come from the Swans. Their first record, Primitive Origins, (which is great) took a pretty straight ahead approach and didn't really delve beyond the usual hardcore/thrash trappings. But on Force Fed, you can clearly hear them experimenting on songs like The Coliseum and It's Been Decided. Most of the rest of the songs are metallic hardcore. Anyway, it was pretty shocking a few years later when they suddenly threw it all away and became Metallica Jr.
Gooey Gum for your Tune Brain.......2000-10-26
I too bought the tape when it came out in '87 after reading a review in a local skate 'zine. I wouldn't call it punk, but it doesn't matter what you call it. It rocks. The melodies and riffs have stuck in my mind after 13 years, and I haven't even listened to much of it for the past ten years. Great, memorable songs and rhythms. I don't like their later stuff much, but I love this album.

This One's a Classic.......2000-10-19
To write Force Fed off as a "punk album" is a terrible injustice. I bought this album when it first came out in 1987. I was on my way to college at the time and was just gettin' in to Metallica, Megadeth, COC among others. This album blew me away. Stylistically it's typical of the speed metal of the day, but much more substantial and what I like to call "crunchy". I wore this tape out, and now I'm going to buy the CD. Yes, it's not like the rest of the Prong albums. It's raw, in the way the Kill 'em All is raw. That's what makes these albums great. I'll take a young and hungry Prong or Metallica for that matter, over an old, overindulgent and self-important . . . You get my point. Anyway, check this one out. It's definitely ol' skoo', but then that's the charm.

Not bad .......2006-02-08
Gorelord is a really bad name. Song titles are not really new, people probably are familiar with Cannibal Corpse and think this is just anther rip off band. What about the rest of the cd? Anyone listen to it? I actully have listened to the cd. The songs are sicker then Cannibal Corpse, the vocals are better then Corpse, and the singer actully plays guitar and bass. So I give him props for playing alot of the instruments. Cd isnt really that bad, just the name.
A Review of "Gorelord".......2005-07-29
First of all, the bands name is Gorelord, which basically sums up just about how good the music will be. This one should really make you laugh. If it doesnt, yo have no sense of humor at all. Take some time to study the awesome song titles: "Necrophilic Orgy in Entrails and Cum" is a perfect example. If you dont know what a necrophilic person is, its someone who has sex with dead people, and i dont even listen to this abysmal genre. I was lucky to find a cd with such quality music. And the Intelligent reviewers that gave this one 5/5 stars such as Japanese Grindfreak & RottingCorpseBreath need to be introduced to more upbeat music. Im sure theyll be watching "The Devil's Rejects" fairly soon or sucking their ugly girlfriends blood, etc. This cd gets 1 star of five, if zero was possible thats what I would give it.
Excuse me....GORE LORD???.......2004-01-13
GORE LORD? You have GOT to be kidding me. The band name is a laugh riot in itself! And look at those song titles! Ridiculous, even by death/black metal standards!
Thank you, Gore Lord, for making me laugh again. Next time I need a good laugh, I'll just pop your CD in and let the good times roll!
SICK DEATHCORE.......2003-05-30
gorelord are sick. insane lyrics put with extremely fast blasts of drum beats. classic
GORELORD: The soundtrack to a blasphemis murder.......2001-12-02
This is what gore/death/necro/black/violent metal should be. completely devious and unrelenting in it's attack. the band, Gorelord (Frediablo-voice/guitar/bass and Jehmod-drums), is the latest discovery of Killjoy (necrophagia, ravenous, wurdulak, etc.) and it shows. The album starts out with a countdown (it gets stuck on "6" imagine that) and then all of heaven comes crashing down. i'm not a big fan of "big production" albums [i prefer the static in the background] but this is pure insanity. for a lack of words the album is beautiful (if beautiful were the most hideous creation ever and it got together with baphomet/housecore) the monologue between the songs adds to the pure dismemberment of any pre-conceived notion of death metal. the only thing i was disappointed about is that it's just a CD...would've been better as an MCD because this album is more of a movie...so, sit back, press play, close your eyes, and die to the sounds of Gorelord...
Songs sure to be stomping through one's head all day/night are: Dismemberd Virgin Limbs, Force Fed On Human Flesh, and Chainsaw Ripping Skin...
