The true Sam Black Church experience is not found through their recorded music but their live show. The Christ-like singer, Jet, delivers a vocal style with the likes of which you've never heard. The guitar has a distinctive distortion and grumble that they can only call their own. You would never guess that this is their debut album once you note the production and tightness of the sound. A killer track I'd say is 'The Way We Were.' Although I've never heard it live, it'll have you bouncing around your living room. I only wish it was longer.

This album features some classic tunes like Re-alive and Infernal Machine that fans just SCREAM for at live performances. This music gets your blood pumping like you've never felt before. Why a major label hasn't scooped this band up and made millions off of them, I will never know. They are the hardest working band out there, and none of their cd's EVER disappoint. The talent of this band is just amazing. Check out ALL of the SBC albums...if you like hard, heavy music, you will be in rock heaven.

Let In Life is one great album. I highly recommend it to any SBC fans out there who've only seen them live. There are some classic SBC songs on this disc, and it's definitely worth buying.

    For those of you out there in the hard-core metal scene, if you have not listened to this band, then you need to get on the stick. They were the dominant force in the Boston rock scene over the past ten years. Bands like Staind, while good at what they choose to do, cannot hold the collective jock of this furious foursome. This album is the first ripple on the pond for a band that rocked the Northeast for ten years and has sadly gone off to the greener fields of semi-retirement. As an introduction to this band, this album will rock you so hard you'll have to hold onto your nuts to make sure they don't fly off into space. If you want to get angry and scream, if you want to break stuff and jump around with sweat and spit dripping from every inch of you body, listen to this band. I have said enough, listen for yourself.

    This is Sam Black Church's best CD...originally two demos recorded for Geffen Records for a record deal. The execs who were at Geffen and interested in signing Sam Black Church at the time were fired, things got caught up in red tape, so the band released these on their own, on their own label (Untangled Records). Absolutley, without a doubt, Sam Black Church at their best. The production on this record is better than any of their others and every song is killer. My perosnal favorites are Delay and Doolittle and New God Science. Buy this CD.

    This album packs the same intensity of there previous works and even a little more. It contains the driven madness in such songs as New God Science as they did in Re-Alive, and the power of it is all around great! If you've never seen them live them you are missing the best part of it all! If you like Great Hardcore with Driving Breakdowns and intelligent lyrics then anything From SBC will blow you away!
