Fun, goofy, unique and mostly up-beat songs for preteens - the title is a give-away how Mr. Nicky approaches his music. Primarily simple acoustic guitars with other instruments prn (e.g. clarinet). My children are 8 and 10.

OK, so i might not be an expert on children's albums- but this is silly without being abnoxious; This is funny without reaching; and this is tender without being sappy.

this record is VERY easy to listen to- and is catchy- without being annoying.

Mr Nicky uses his childlike imagination to craft together songs that the whole family can enjoy over and over and over and over.

This CD is awesome. My kids have only had the CD a few days and already have all the songs memorized. The don't even realize all the science they are learning. I highly recommend!!

We adore Rattle Snakes for Breakfast, by Mr. Nicky! My twin five-year old daughters know each song almost word for word. His messages in such songs like Nerds and Weirdo's has made them conscience of others around them and how we all somehow fit and work in this world. The song Bullies brings front and center that being kind and good to others not only is decent but it eliminates the creation of a Bully. Even though a lesson can be learned from most of the songs, they are still entertaining. We sing them in the car even if we left the CD in the player at home. I love the fact that this is music that opens the lines of communication between Parent and Child.
I laugh, and feel such joy when I hear my Children's laughter from their sheer enjoyment. Mr. Nicky brought fun and learning back into music. Imagine getting that for just a small amount. Compared to all the other high priced games and toys for Christmas this year, this CD Far out weighs them in value; it will be the least expensive, yet smartest gift you can give!

Mr. Nicky is an extremely talented musician and singer. One of his songs, "Too Many Beans" has spent some time on XMKids's top 13 list at #1 after moving up the charts over the course of several weeks. Lots of people like a good fart song, but the fact that this song, while great, is the most popular should not detract from the rest of the CD. It's truly wonderful. The songs are clever, funny, and often quite sweet. XMKids plays three other songs pretty often ("Song of the Sun", "Nerds and Weirdos", and "Fireman"), but they've missed out on even more! "Bullies"; the title track, "Rattlesnakes for Breakfast"; "Sorry Mom and Dad"; and especially "Radio Song" are also tremendously fun. My son is almost three now, and he loves Mr. Nicky. We've bought cds for friends, and everyone loves it. At this price, you can't go wrong, so try it out. Your kids will love them, and I defy you not to start singing the songs yourselves.

An Adam Sandler movie that stars Ozzy Osbourne as himself, Rodney Dangerfield as Satan's dad, and Harvey Keitel as Satan is bound to enlist a similarly high-profile collection of music acts to underscore things. Sure enough, a quick scan of the bands signed on reveals a pretty solid "Who's Who" of late-'90s hard rock. In this context, Cypress Hill are positively old-school. However, their track, "Rock Superstar," sounds perfectly slotted next to the molten screed of P.O.D., the moody murk of Incubus, and the machine head cutting edge of the Deftones (represented twice here, especially revealing in the final acoustic track). Insolence prove the merging of hard rock and hip-hop is something not about to go away. The addition of Muse and Powerman 5000 makes this an especially well-attended gathering. The only real question is, where's Ozzy? --Rob O'Connor

Here is a compilation full of wellknowns and a few unknowns. Most people (like one of the featured reviews mentions) are unaware of the British rock band Muse who contributes their track "Cave" at #10 on this cd. The track is off their 1999 album "Showbiz" which is a musthave for any rock fan.

I bought this soundtrack after seeing the movie Little Nicky a bunch of times, and I thought to myself that it seemed like some songs were missing. After checking on the Internet, I found out that I was right! A bunch of great rock songs from the past (like "Running With The Devil" and "Highway to H*ll") were in the movie, but not on the soundtrack! Also, there are a couple of recent songs from the movie that aren't on the CD either. But, I do like this CD. Linkin Park's "Points of Authority", POD's "School of Hard Knocks" and Cypress Hill's "(Rock) Superstar" are my favorite songs. I also like "Cave" by Muse, "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 and "Pardon Me" by Incubus are really good. All in all, I recommend this CD to people who like rock/metal and the movie Little Nicky.

When I saw Little Nicky in the theatres, I thought to myself, "This movie's got some pretty good music! Maybe I'll buy the soundtrack." I did, but I stupidly forgot to look at the tracklist. Nearly HALF of the songs from the movie aren't on here! Ironically, the songs that were omitted are the BEST ONES OF ALL. Read on to see what you don't get on it.

The omissions of the above tracks is inexcusable, but still, the rest of the soundtrack DOES whip out some pretty good modern rock. The Linkin Park track, Points Of Authority, is a great example of this. Likewise, you get a remix of Disturbed's Stupify you can't get anywhere else (to my knowledge.) This is a good soundtrack overall, but if you plan to buy it, make sure it's got the song(s) you want!

This cd was tight! Disturbed, Linkin Park, P.O.D., and Cypress Hill make this a great rock cd. Theres only one problem... Why the heck is Filter on it?!! They aren't a rock band! Other than that, It's 2 big thumbs up

Excelente disco. Despues de ver la pelicula corri al computador a ver si estba disponible la banda sonora y me encontre con la grata sorpresa de que asi era... pero, en la pelicula aparecen muchas otras canciones tan buenas e incluso algunas mejores que no aparecen.. donde esta Foo Fighters, AC/DC e incluso Ozzy, que pese a aparecer en la pelicula no figura en el disco?? Sin embargo sigue siendo un muy bueno disco para los que gustan del ROCK!

the sun dared him to get up and try it agian... and he did. this time Mr. Nicky ended up in the science lab!

again, another funny and silly record - but this time he really weaves in some very intellegent scientific concepts.

My favorite (and my son's favorite) song is "My Christmas Amoeba"... which i never thought anyone could quite use the word "amoeba" in a song and have it still be great.

i don't think the word "enjoyable" is large enough to engulf what Mr. Nicky's music really is- it is for the whole family- though geered best toward 3-8 year olds... still, he has brought me to tears in the most simple ways.

This new record satisfies me, but at the same time only makes me hungry for the next one, where, if Mr Nicky doesn't put THE KITTY SONG on, he will have some very angry parents! (hint, hint!)

A few days ago, my two year old son was singing about the theory of relativity. When he's reciting that well-known equation, do I believe he knows what he's talking about? Nope. But do I think that when it does come up someday in school that he'll remember that it has something to do with Einstein, physics, Newtonian theory? Absolutely. This is thanks to Mr. Nicky. Kids and parents of all ages will get into this CD. I couldn't decide whether or not I liked this album as much as the last.

I can now say that I do. Perhaps it's even better. The goofiness of "Rattlesnakes for Breakfast" is still there, but there is real education in these songs. With these songs stuck in my brain, even I've learned some things. I really seems like he made it a point to pack in as much information as he could into every song.

But they're still extremely fun songs. We have a blast dancing around the kitchen, and I know he's learning too. My question is... when will Mr. Nicky get his own tv show? Bill Nye made science fun five to ten years ago.... Mr. Wizard -- 20... Now it's time for Mr. Nicky, musical science teacher!
