            gamma ray are one of the leading forces in the power metal revolution. kai hansen is the sole brains of the operation. kai is a metal mastermind and to me he is the man who started the power metal of today. the keepers of jherico album of helloween was the album that made it all possible. sure judas priest and iron maiden had alot to do with it but kai hansen brought something a little more to the scene. with his guitar style and crazy vocals he brought the one thing to the music that it most needed and that was heart.the bands i love like freternia and cryonic temple or dragonland and hammerfall all owe their a..es to kai. priest brought the power, maiden brought the storylines and mascots,but kai hansen brought the mythology and the speed and the trademark power metal sound. he showed the world that some of the best metal out there did not have perfect vocals but all it takes is amazing guitar playing and very talented musicians who do it for the love of metal. kai is a master song writer and a metal icon. his ability to write and compose thought provoking catchy anthems and the way he uses a sort of pop style approach with it makes his metal as catchy as it gets. he has worked with hammerfall and heavenly and so many other awesome bands but my favorite band he has lended a helping hand to has got to be iron savior. valley of the kings is a great example of his style of power metal and the way he composes his killer style of metal. to me he is one of the best guitarist around, he plays so fast and has some of the wickedest guitar screams around. this is a cool cd for any power metal collection but i would reccomend that you buy gamma rays full studio albums first. kai is on top along with others like rockn rolf of running wild, king diamond, udo dirksnieder, dio,halford,dickinson,and the other true metal gods. kai is the founder of true power metal and one listen to this cd will tell you all that you need to know. all hail kai, my idol and inspiration,and the man responsible for my favorite thing in this world, POWER METAL, your friend in metal, brandon whitson,25 of north carolina
