5 out of 5 stars BEST SKA ALBUM OF ALL TIME!.......2006-12-16

"Keasby nights" is classic. Everyone's gotta love this album. It rules! Every song is great! If you even remotely like ska, get this!

5 out of 5 stars amazing.......2006-07-10

If Catch-22's "Keasbey Nights" was sex, it would cause a huge orgasm. Not only is this the greatest ska album made in the last 10 years (if not more), but it even qualifies for one of the best rock albums mad in the past 10 years. It mixes fast punk, horns, reggea, dub, and just about everything else to make a great mix of greatness. If I could give it a million stars, I would.
The thing that a lot of people don't understand is that it isn't supposed to sound mainstream and perfect. It was made by a bunch of guys who were bored and liked fast music. They went to a crappy studio and put out an AMAZING record, and now they're a famous band within their niche of the music market.
Ska is an aquired taste, and one who likes ska must like Catch-22's "Keasbey Nights" fore it defines what music should sound like today!!
:)

4 out of 5 stars A Great ska album.......2006-07-04

Catch 22 really got me into ska with this album. It melodic, fast paced yet slow and groovy at times. The songs are just plain fun. I can't listen to this album without singing at the top of my lungs. Its a must have for any ska fan.

4 out of 5 stars Above Average.......2006-06-18

I don't like ska, but I love this album. Melodic yet edgy at times, it's an album that can be listened to straight through.

5 out of 5 stars Great.......2006-06-12

This album is about a group of guys getting together with crappy instruments, a desire to make music, recording in some crappy little studio, and putting out a fantastic record. This record is like a breath of fresh air on a sickly third-wave ska scene.

4 out of 5 stars Searching for a modern metal sound.......2007-06-19

I think that part of what makes Hypocrisy such a great band is how well they can blend death, black, thrash, doom, gothic, heavy metal and other influences together to make music that is both unique and experimental. Even back in their earliest days with Penatralia and Osculum Obscenum, they were ahead of their time, brutal but with a futuristic thrashy approach. While their contemporaries Entombed and Unleashed have clung onto their older fans from way back when, Hypocrisy have managed to keep adding to their fan base and have toured with alot of younger groups like Soilwork, Mnemic and In Flames. This has kept the band popular and very successful throughout the 90's and into the 21st century. Hypocrisy have no doubt been a great influence on the whole Gothenburg NEW thrash genre and the album Abducted is an immortalized underground classic.

Sometimes though a talent can become a weakness and on Catch 22 the same independent attitude that gave them fans on Abducted and The Final Chapter began working against them. There was a certain amount of critical backlash towards the inclusion of modern metal riffs, that reminded some of Slipknot, Fear Factory or nu-metal. Its a very mild influence, but I think that alot of metal fans get self-conscious when they feel like they're listening to the wrong type of music. To get an idea of the sound, think of the self-titled album, take out the atmospheric 70's prog vibe and add more modern metal riffs ala Darkane, Mnemic or Strapping Young Lad. I personally admire this bands ability to offer new surprises for each album they release. Where the previous album, Into The Abyss, was pretty much a straight-up death metal album, this one is experimental like the self-titled, only done in a different way. I admit they have had better albums and I'm glad they changed direction afterwards, but this one is really great in its own right with alot of original riffs and great songs like "World of Madness," "Another Dead End," and "All Turns Black." The opening on "Turn the Page" may sound like Slipknot, but to me it doesn't sound much different than the opening to Buried off Abducted. The point is that the band has always been on the cutting edge of death and thrash metal and have had a slight commercial edge so why people are criticizing them now is beyond me. It's still Hypocrisy (or at least post Abducted Hypocrisy), and I think that if you're a true fan of the band you should appreciate this album as I do. Overall, its very anthematic with a touch of rock, gothic, and hardcore. The production and songwriting is tighter than ever, and the vocal overlapping that has become Peter's trademark are very sorrowful and beautiful.

The decision to go in a modern thrash direction probably helped them to compete with what tourmates In Flames and Soilwork were releasing at the time. Its comendable that the group can write original material this good and be so adaptable this late into their career. This new sound worked well on Catch 22 and The Arrival but it was perfected on the excellent Virus album (again reminding me a bit of darkane and Strapping Young Lad).

5 out of 5 stars Another great HYPOCRISY album.......2006-11-01

I've been listening to HYPCRISY for over 10 years, and they never cease to amaze me. Catch 22 is more interesting metal from these Swedes. Every Hypocrisy album is different in style/flavour/tension, and that is what makes them such a great band. I think every cd they released is worth having. Yes maybe some songs may not appeal to certain people depending on taste, but that is what it's all about when it comes to music...personal taste. And Hypocrisy can please almost anyone's taste (assuming they like metal). Hypocrisy used to be straight death metal Before Peter Tagtgren took over as the frontman. I got into Hypocrisy through their 'Osculumn Obscenum' album, and since then have been listening to their music evolve into what I think isn't even really death or black metal, just really raw metal with heavy emotional values much to the likes on Pink Floyd. I think they are one of the only death metal bands that have outgrown themselves.
Anyway, this is a great cd and is worth buying. Just get it, it will grow on you within a day or two and from then on you'll understand the greatness of it.

1 out of 5 stars The skeletons in Hypocrisy's closet.......2006-02-27

How to start... Catch 22 is regarded as the most dramatic sonic exploration in Hypocrisy's dicography. While this may be true, that does not make this album good. Here, Hypocrisy abandons their melodic death roots in favor of a sterile nu-metal sound. They're blatantly trying to sound like Slipknot here, if you listen to the new vocal stylings and the dissonant, downtuned chords. For example, Tagtgren does his best Corey Taylor impression on the hilariously named "Don't judge me." The melodic accessibility present on previous and subsequent Hypocrisy recordings is grossly overpopulated on Catch 22, morphing a majestic yet aggressive band into a myriad of tired structural cliches, and conventional melodies.

Irritatingly enough, Catch 22 is infectiously catchy; So after you realize it's asinine faux-progression, you can't just forget about it or pretend it was never made. These damn songs prance around in your head all day, forcing you to contemplate what evil spirit possessed you to listen to this insipid drudgery in the first place.

Let us observe an iTunes-featured review from All Music Guide, shall we?

"... the disc title says it all: Progress and be called a sellout by cliquish devotees; Write the same album again and again and be called boring, the classic catch 22. Well, this record is also a classic catch 22, even if some fans fall away."

How about this: Release the same record over and over and be called boring. Alienate the fans who brought you to where you are with a banal nu-metal record, and artsy music critics who just got done reviewing the latest Radiohead release will endlessly praise your new musical ventures, despite the deteriorating level of instrumentation and chemistry between band members. Truly a classic Catch 22, eh? Patronize fans of real music by slapping the label "cliquish devotees" on them all you like-- But for once, there's a reason this insipid pawing at mainstream acceptance failed.

Now if you'll excuse me, there are some Disturbed fans in my basement I've yet to take care of.
- Thus says the Pellington
Edit: In retrospect, maybe this review was a bit harsher than necessary. Better too harsh than too lenient, though. Does this album have a few worthwhile moments? Sure. Does that automatically warrant a purchase? No. Just make sure you know what you're getting.

5 out of 5 stars Fans haven't helped Hypocrisy.......2005-05-20

There's a reason why Catch 22 is ranked nearly twice as high in the sales ranks as Hypocrisy's 2004 release "Arrival". But if you listen to the "fans", you'd think this was by far their worst album. Perhaps that's why the title "Catch 22" is so fitting, perhaps Hypocrisy was self-conscious enough to realize they were straying from the norm with this release (in a good way!) and they knew the fans would lash out because of it. A real shame, because this is a masterpiece and truly innovative -- regardles of what the fans might have to say. Hopefully Hypocrisy will come to terms with the fact that they cannot please everyone and start making the music they want to make, I hope their next release tests the boundaries like this album did -- their fanbase will comea round.

4 out of 5 stars Not Excellent, but underrated..........2005-04-08

I read a lots of reviews saying that Hypocrisy sold out with this album, going into nu-metal stuff. I have to say that those people don't know anything about Hypocrisy or nu-metal. None of the nu-metal bands sounds like Hypocrisy does, and I bet Limp Bizkit or Linkin' Park wouldn't write a song as furious, heavy and fast as "Don't judge me" (track 1). Those people are mixing up what means to be nu-metal, and what means to sound modern, that is the keyword in this matter. Peter Tagtgren uses the same recipe with a great result, creating a really verastile album, and sticking to his roots. Nu-metal stuff? Just a couple of arrangements and "Turn the page", that I wouldn't consider nu-metal, and it is catchy and sounds really modern. So, you can't say this album is nu-metal considering one questionable song.
But with songs like "A public puppet", "Turn the page" and "Hatred", Peter takes Hypocrisy one step further, creating new rhythms that fit perfectly in the sound and songwriting of the band, cause he never refused to please himself and continues growing up. The album has a great sound, but the guitars sound better than the previous releases, remindind me "Abducted" or "The Final Chapter". There's the usual Hypo stuff: slow songs, mid tempo and fast songs. There are only 2 fast songs (10 total) in the album. Maybe, it's me, but I prefer more fast songs (the album finishes with two slow songs, sometimes the album needs more energy). Needs 1 or 2 more fast songs to make of this album the prefect combination between brutality and creativity, two things that weren`t combined in the last two albums. You won't find the BEST songs, but they are simple, really "listeneable", with lots of changes of rhythms, well structured, and more important: catchy and not boring. The songs are more in the vein of "Abducted" or "The Final Chapter", than "Hypocrisy" or "Into the abyss". I hope Peter to continue in the right path writing excellent music...(after two years with no new stuff from the studio, 10 songs is not enough...I'm a metal vicious!)

Album Description

It has been three long years since the release of Catch 22's sophomore effort "Alone in a Crowd". The anticipation has been building. Prepare yourself. Catch 22 are back with 11 songs of inspiration and realization, about growing up, loving, losing, hating, and, of course, drinking. Combining influences ranging from punk, soul, ska, metal, Motown, and hardcore, Catch 22 have written an explosive follow-up to "Alone". DINOSAUR SOUNDS is energetic and pop-driven with catchy choruses, explosive horn hooks and uplifting chord progressions. Their influences shine through on this album, ranging anywhere from Sublime to Weezer to James Brown, creating some of their best material to date. DINOSAUR SOUNDS is an album destined to be a classic.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Fans who ignore this record are missing out on a classic.......2006-05-20

I can understand why alot of people were upset about this album. This is Catch 22's third line-up change, and thier biggest change in sound. While Keasby Nights and Alone in the Crowd were pretty much consistent in style and song-writing, Dinosaur Sounds is totally different from anything Catch 22 has ever recorded.

While listening to this record, the first thing you will notice is that Dino Sounds is more of a "rock with horns" album than a punk/ska record. Sax player Ryan Eldred takes over lead vocals, and trumpeteer Kevin Gunther sings on a couple songs as well. Ryan and Kevin's voices compliment each other very nicely. You can hear the definite influence of weezer, sublime, and NOFX throughout the album. The topics of the songs now focus on rock and roll staples like romance and drinking (although there is also an anti-war song).

So is this a bad album? Not by a long shot. Despite the bieng attacked by many of the band's fans, this album is on par with anything else they have ever recorded, as long as you take into account the fact that this album is a different style of music bieng played by a different line-up. Fans who ignore this record are missing out on a classic.

And there are just so many songs that make this album great. "Wine Stained Lips," is a bouncy love song with a guitar solo (rare for a ska song). "Good Times" sounds almost like a Sublime song. "So Cold" seems to be an attack on Streetlight Manifesto, and "Beguile the Time" is an anti-war song. "Chin Up" contains an uplifting message during the chorus -- "chin up until it touches the moon, sad and forsaken one, it's you I'm talking to."

However, there are three really great songs on this record that stand out above all the rest. "Motown Cinderella" is a beautiful song about bieng caught in a romantic triangle. Ryan's vocals are especially powerfull and heartfelt on this track, which climaxes with a beatiful, almost big band style jazz ending. The horns are all wailing like mad while Ryan is screaming his heart out for this girl who gives him "the kind of love I can sing about."

"Dripping Faucet" contains all the anger and agression that made the first two Catch albums so great. The lyrics are about laying awake at night doing some heavy soul-searching. A "dripping faucet" is used as a metaphor for a problem in your life that you are unsure of how to deal with. Musically, this track is virtually flawless. The horn line is one of the catchiest on the album, the guitar and bass play off of each other with stunning ease, and the song climaxes with a horn break-down so sick that its almost as good as sex.

The last stand-out track on Dino Sounds, and perhaps the best one, is "Lamont's Lament," an instrumental featuring a good 2 minutes of nothing but kick @$$ ska. This is the probably the best horn work featured in a Catch 22 song, and easily the best Catch 22 instrumental. "Lamont's Lament" is pure magic.

There are couple of songs on here that aren't very good, such as "Regression" and "chasing the moon," which don't add much to the album. The biggest flaw of all though, is the track listing. For the life of me, I cannot understand why the band decieded to put "Rocky" and "Beguile the Time" first. Perhaps they wanted people to hear Ryan's vocals right off the bat, but it really doesn't flow very well. During live performances, Catch 22 usually opens with Lamont's Lament, and then plays Rocky. If Dino Sounds was edited this way, it would be a stronger record.

So there you have it -- my review of Dinosaur Sounds by Catch 22. Not a perfect album, but a darn good one. More than anything else, Dinosaur Sounds is a fun listen and it really just grooves. It's laid back, it's inquisitive, and it's got great vocals. Although the album was attacked by many of the bands fans, I still consider it a solid record from start to finish. Recommended for any ska kid or lover of music.

1 out of 5 stars Oh wow i heard they got worse but not this worse.......2006-04-06

Yeah man this blows. I mean like really blows. They have like totally gone towards mainstream punk like Bowling for Soup. Yeah they definately lost nething they had when tom left to start streetlight manifesto. They sound a lot more like the old catch 22 in fact better the keasbey nights by streetlight is much better than catch 22's but their own original album Everything Goes Numb is even better than catch 22 ever did. Yeah as far as im concerned Catch 22 is dead.

4 out of 5 stars Not That Bad..........2006-02-28

Oh Catch 22 changed singers they suck now! Blah. This is alright, the new guy ain't so bad I don't know why everyone so sad about it, I mean there is Streelight Manifesto for all those homies who can't get enough of the other guy (i don't remeber his name, I haven't renewed my ska nerd licenses for quite some time). Anyways, is it just me or does it seem like it's impossible to not only find a good ska album these days (that's always hard either way) but a ska album PERIOD, you know what I mean, it seems like all the bands put thier horns away and said "Fuh kit". You know... This is decent, some songs are kinda "blah" but Rocky is a rager! I guess I'm more of a "singles" kinda guy so I can overlook a shakey album if it has some good songs on it, I'd bitch if it was an 8 track or something but if a song bores me I just skip and listen to the good track 3 more times to make up for it! Wine Stained Lips, Rocky, that song about Venus F8cking in the afternoon and a few others are stand outs. Don't listen to your friends who supposedly "heard" it in thier other friend's car and think it sucks, cause those friends probably listened to a bunch of whiners on a message board who (like them) had never listened to a single song on the album. If you like Catch 22, why wouldn't you like this?

4 out of 5 stars Still adjusting.......2006-02-02

Catch 22 is far from the band they were in Keasby Nights...

First off, Kalnoky took half the band members and left before their first tour. Then, more members left after Alone in a Crowd. The band has maybe a quarter of the original members. That being said, before passing judgment on the album, you should consider how little the band (and its members) have in common with the original inception.

Despite how much different the band is, they still managed to pull through moderately. The absoultely horrendous Washed Up (and through the Ringer) album has been put to rest and the band has decided to develop their sound. The Vegas-strip style Skacore is original, no doubts there, if not a little lackluster and far from being perfected. The horns are colorful and vibrant, if somewhat underutilized. The vocal duets are interesting but the guitars lack originality. Highlights do exist including So Cold, Dreams of Venus and the bubbly Good Times. Although it falls apart in other areas including the poorly executed Beguile the Time. Still, it will be interesting to see the band develop its new sound and make its own mark. Unfortunately it seems Ryan Eldred and company still rely on Keasby Nights songs to retain their fanbase. Who knows, maybe the next album will surprise us.

3.5 stars

P.S. Fans of Kalnoky-era C22 should look at Streetlight Manifesto for what is essentially the followup. They sound ridiculously similar and have even re-recorded Keasby Nights with newly written solos.

4 out of 5 stars Change is good.......2005-10-19

Ok. Many, many people who I have spoken to about this album agree that its definately not the same Catch 22 that they were used to. This album certainly has a different feel than the cheasy "Keasby Nights" album or the more serious ska-core like "Alone in a Crowd". However, Catch 22 is moving onward without Thomas Kanoly, and they are doing a fine job. Granted, they are more of a "Rock with horns" band instead of a "punk with horns" band, but I think the change will ultimately be better than what they started with. Any band who loses their main singer/songwriter will go through a tough transitional phase. Lets just be patient and see where they go with their sound in the years to come. Who knows - maybe their next album will be even better.

3 out of 5 stars Catch 22.......2006-07-25

This album just isnt the same as Keasbey nights. It seems that songs aren't as catchy or as good as mostly every song on Keasbey Nights. Its still an allright follow up to their debut album.

5 out of 5 stars Simply a great CD.......2006-03-11

Ska/Ska-core/Ska-punk, whatever the hell it is called, this is an incredible cd. Not necessarily my "type" of music, but a CD this good can be enjoyed by more than just ska fans.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent followup album, possibly superior to the debut........2005-04-07

Deftly avoiding the sophomore jinx, a restructured Catch 22 (sans original members Jamie Egan, Tomas Kalnoky, and Josh Ansley, adding bassist Pat Kays, guitarist Pat Calpin, horn player Mike Soprano, and Jeff Anderson on vocals) returns to the ska-punk sound that made 1997's "Keasbey Nights" a standout.
"Alone In A Crowd" builds on the darker, more violent themes of the band's earlier work, slamming death, regret, failure, abuse, neglect, and violence into thirty-three minutes (minus three minutes of dead air hiding a bonus track) of pure energy. Some of the tracks ("What Goes Around Comes Around", "Point The Blame", "Arm To Arm") easily equal or even surpass the "Keasbey"-era work, and the album never drags. A punked-out cover of the Beach Boys' "Sloop John B" adds a needed spot of brightness to the album's major thematic movement, the tale of two young lovers caught up in murder and mayhem in middle America. This album is reckless, ruthless, and an absolute blast to listen to. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Five stars isn't enough.

5 out of 5 stars ska.......2004-08-30

okay this is a great cd. i like it more every time i listen to it. Im not sure if its as good as Keasby Nights but it is definitely close. heres what i think:

1. Intro-not much to say except its a great intro for a ska cd

2. Point the Blame-this is a really catchy song, and the horns are excellent, and its even got a nice little guitar solo which is rare for catch 22. one of my favorites on the whole cd

3. Sounds Good, but I Dont Know- Good song. it kinda leans towards hardcore with horns but its got a really cool horn interlude at the end.

4. It Takes Some Time-I love this song, its one of the first songs i heard by them. great bass line, great horns, and its really fun to sing along to, very upbeat! and its even got a little string break towards the end. thats cool

5. What Goes Around Comes Around-This is a badass song. i love everything about it

6. Arm to Arm-this ones pretty good. its my least favorite out of the ones ive mentioned so far but the horns are still pretty cool

7. Guilty Pleasures-Heres a great song. i love how it builds up. one of my favorites

8. Bloomfield Avenue-I think this might be the best song on the whole album. it starts out slow then the horns come in and they sound bad ass just like the entire song. the chorus is awesome to scream along with.

9. Hard to Impress-heres yet another really good song. more really cool horns and great everything else as well

10. San Francisco Payphone-Pretty good song, its kinda sappy but its not bad.

11. Wreck of Sloop John B.-umm this is a beach boys cover. i guess its cool if you like the beach boys. i think it would have been better if they found a way to put some horns in it though. oh well its still better than listening to the beast boys

12. Neverending Story-I really like this song, its really fast and the horns do a great job as usual.

13. Thinking About Things-I didnt like this song at first but its actually pretty good. its the last song the horns get to do their stuff.

14. Alone in the Crowd- The self titled track, obviously. its just guitar and vocals for most of the song but it still a good one.

well thats it besides the hidden track but thats not really anything...enjoy!

4 out of 5 stars Music is Good, Message is Not.......2004-05-15

I'm sure every fan of Catch 22 (real fan, that is) has listened to Alone In a Crowd and liked it. To tell the truth, the music isn't bad. So Tom was kicked out, the stuff is still pretty good. And then you put the white cd into the stereo, and the first track is just whatever. Then the second starts to sound pretty good, and you like it. But please, do NOT like that song.

Hidden within the lyrics of the song are subliminal messages, aiming at making fun of Tomas Kalnoky, the genius writer of C22's original album "Keasbey Nights". It is sickening to hear the hate that is thrown out at him.

But you will be happy to know that in his next amazing piece of work, Streetlight Manifesto's "Everything Goes Numb", he takes out his own little fun. Listening to "A Moment of Silence", one will hear a line that is like this..."if you hate me so much then stop singing my songs."

I would like to say, Catch 22, continue to make good music, but keep your feuds to yourselves, because you threw out one heck of a musician.

Album Description

This specially priced album features the out of print "Washed Up" EP along with previously unreleased, live material and two brand new songs. CATCH 22 have proven themselves to be one of the top ska influenced punk rock bands in the world along with bands like LESS THAN JAKE, SUICIDE MACHINES and the MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES. This album showcases CATCH 22's ability to fuse various musical genres into their own exciting and original style. The band jumps from horn laden punk rock, mutated classic rock, roots reggae and hip-hop. The 7:40 minute hip-hop influenced "No Love For The Roadie" is worth the price of admission alone.

4 out of 5 stars Great CD.......2006-04-03

This truly is a great CD, maybe not Catch 22's best, but still a great CDs.First of all, as for the live recording, live recording is hard, plain and simple. The live recording are bad quality because they were most likely not recorded with the best equipment possible. Keep in mind that Catch 22 is signed to Victory Records, not exactly what I would refer too as a "Major" record label. Second of all, skacore is good and so is ska, if you dont enjoy skacore, i wouldnt reccomend this cd because atleast half of it is skacore.

2 out of 5 stars what happened?.......2004-01-25

Keasby Knights was a great CD, but this one just isn't worth your money. There are one or too good songs on the CD, but the rest.... just save your money, and if your looking for a good CD buy Keasbey Nights to hear Catch 22 at its best.

1 out of 5 stars Where's the ska?.......2003-11-14

When did Catch-22 turn into a skacore band? This is pathetic. The double-bass too-fast drums don't fit into any of the songs, which all seem to sound the same. Even the live tracks of classic songs from keasbey nights lack the old luster. Save your money. Get Keasbey Nights and/or Alone in a crowd

3 out of 5 stars Not Catch 22's best work.......2003-08-10

This is a very OK cd. I think if you like more punk/ska Alone In A Crowd and this one are for you. But if you like the more ska type stuff get Keasbey Nights, its Catch 22 at its best no matter what kind of ska you like.

1 out of 5 stars Ska Junkie is correct.......2006-08-28

This is without doubt the worst album ever released. that should explain enough why not to buy it. but other reasons are: the band sounds nothing like original catch 22. theyve turned into bubble gum pop ska.. and its terrible. Most of this live album are great songs.. but with the worst vocalist i have ever heard. In my opinion he should never attempt to sing Tomas's songs if he writes songs that say the word "started" a million times. his voice reminds me of Kermit the frog and he should get back with the muppets(and also should stop singing jeff davidson era stuff). the other half of this "album" is full of songs from Dinosaur Sounds, a poor excuse for a catch 22 record. if i could give this album negative stars i would.. so do yourself a favor and buy a cd with more original catch 22 members than catch 22 itself has now Streetlight Manifesto, or get Alone in a Crowd or Keasbey Nights both are good albums. I hope one day this band realizes what a sad excuse they are.. well thats all good night and good luck

5 out of 5 stars Great.......2006-07-09

This is a great album. I have seen Catch 22 live so many times, the dvd is great to watch, it just gets broing at times.

Catch 22 is a great ska band everyone should listen to at least once.

5 out of 5 stars Anyone From Long Island And Like Catch 22???.......2006-07-09

The whole thing was recorded at The Downtown on Long Island!!! Great sound, great sight!!!...very good live Cd/Dvd!!!

5 out of 5 stars an all around great cd.......2006-02-08

Yeah i know what people are thinking when they see the new catch 22 playing the old catch 22 songs. They think they should only stick to there new stuff and not play the old songs. Theres also those people who think that the new catch just plain sucks. I used to be like that until i listened to this cd. So now i have to disagree with those people. Sure, the new catch 22 might not be as good old catch 22 but they have some great songs and even when they play there old songs it sounds pretty good. Some people just need to learn to listen right. This is a great cd. It really shows how good catch 22 is. If anything i fell that catch 22 and streetlight manifesto should both play the old catch 22 songs. Both of them do a great job while playing them.

5 out of 5 stars Ska.......2005-06-10

I bought this cd after seeing Catch 22 in Florida for spring break. They are an awesome band if you are into ska music. It is a fun cd and you can just sit back and jam out to it. Hope you enjoy

The is a wonderful combination of many neo musical movements and yet avoids becoming cliche in any form, a wonderful step from the misuse and abuse of horn players that most ska and punkers use
