Good times. I'm a total rivethead (industrial chick), but I gotta give it up for Tree. HC is not my thing but when you listen to tracks like Death Wish and All of Us you can't help but sing along (and, if you're driving, floor it). And they are SO not even close to rap metal. Gah.

This band is from my town, Westwood. They're pretty big here obviously. I work with River's (the singer) dad at my job. This is an awesome hardcore cd that you should definitely get. I also want to say that the person who called this a rap metal cd and a cross between godsmack and reveille is a loser, knows nothing about hardcore or music in general, and is an insult to the guys in Tree, who I've talked to personally. Alright later.

Well i think that if this is the only album you have youre not getting a real true feel for tree. This is a new branch for them. Each album is more refined. This album is very "produced" and has a more studio sound which alot of the old tree fans have critized. Lyrically this album is as strong as any of the others without a doubt. The singer wrote songs on this album from a 3rd perosn POV, which is anohter original touch. Then out of nowhere comes the song ALL OF US an all out Punk/HC UNITY song but more that that it blasts the lines between classism and racism. Being an unsigned band whose puttin all they got into getting signed may have something to do with the style of this new album ( no theyre not selling out). Ive seen tree perform in front of 20-30 people and had a blast myself. Then ive seen tree perform outdoors in front of thousnads and its all out HC/Metal/TREE mayhem.

i bought this cd when it came out and was very impressed. but when i saw tree in concert i wasnt impressed but the cd is still hot so i suggest you go and buy it.

I first heard of this band when I heard the list of the bands playing at a millenium concert in Boston. I had actually heard the name before, but I hadn't really heard their music. I called my favorite radio station and - surprise! I'd heard them before, and I liked them a lot! This compelled me to buy their newest Cd, our day will come. I'd classify this as a mix between Godsmack and Reveille, and any Boston rocker will know what I am talking about. If you haven't heard of those, then go check them out; they're awesome. Anyway, back to Tree. The album has a lot of good songs, 11 in fact. The other track? The last track is a "Super Secret Jukebox Mix." This is only a track where they repeat 3 songs to make the album length be longer. It still is a good cd though, recommended to anyone who appreciates good rap/metal. Well, a little less rap than in other rap/metal groups, but like I said, a cross between Reveille, pure rap/metal, and Godsmack, awesome heavy metal. A good buy

These guys are self described as "Mountain Acid Rock" or something to that effect but are in my opinion are something much more special, a group of like minded freaks that have managed in this day of pre- frabicated rot/crap sold to the zombie public as "music", delivered a stunningly original form of mind bending, no holds barred, kick ass heavy rock that holds a candle to none. I don't say that lightly, once they hook you, it's over. "Ball's Deep" is only the beginning, "Mantrapping..." shows their progression. This is music that you have to let seep into your soul and not toss it away after one listen, I had to listen to it many times, to really "hear" it and give in to spirit of the music. They are the future, need I say any more? Teeny boppers need not apply, if nasty, cruchy grooves are your thing, this is the arrival.

*note to all Heads out there: Korn lifted a riff from "Gibbletted Captain Kid" five years after SF recorded it, see if can find it.

From the get-go, "Drunken Hangman" announces this isn't your typical rock album. Ironlung's garbled vocals are usually about weird things like Wendigo, decapitations, Civil War guerrillas, whales, and monsters. Though creative, he makes the mistake of letting the distortion do the work for him -- he needs to shout into the mic instead of mumble into it. That's one of the weaknesses of the album. "Gibbetted Captain Kidd" is the strongest song, with "Scream of the Wendigo" being a guilty pleasure. Ultimately, the title track (Scissorfight's attempt at a love song) shows that this disc is fun, but isn't one you can keep in the CD for too long.

Scissorfight . . . I'm sorry, but just the NAME should tip you off that these guys are above and beyond just ANY ol' rock band. VERY heavy and cavernously detuned, SF makes one realize why you just never see indie metal bands on the same bill as the big-labeled, hyped-to-death schlock out there: because the corporate product would be put to SHAME. "Scarecrow Season" elevates the whole MC5-vibe to a new and hammering standard, and "Cramp" is a grooving heavy burner. But the track that stands out is "The Gibbetted Captain Kidd", a tale about one of history's most infamous losers, a privateer forced into piracy, sentenced to death by hanging and put on display (gibbetted) as a warning. A piece that truly makes your eardrums bleed, "GCK" has all the makings of a great anthemic underground metal song, and it alone is worth the price of the disc. "Balls Deep" - ask for it by name . . .

This is the greatest new band out there. Put death metal together with Sepultura and Pantera and some Clutch, throw in some great sounding grooves, add the most demented lyrics you can think of and you've got Scissorfight, the best band out of Boston. Everyone must buy this album. I command you! The songs are just great. My favorite is "The Gibbeted Captain Kidd" about hanging a pirate.

Imagine a twisted version of clutch, tuned WAY low and pumping out massive chunks of groove, filled in with growls of hangmen, pirates, and human heads by a crazy looking dude called Ironlung. Brilliant.

Scissorfight's new CD is very good, but this one remains on the top of my list. The lyrics are very good and go with the guitars very well. The fuzzed out effect on the vocals is very cool. If you want to listen to a band that will rock you out of your chair and a CD that is the best of the band, don't hesitate, just simply buy it. The bass sounds really cool when the guitar plays chords and the drums make everything fit together perfectely. I bought this CD with Korn's new CD and there is no question which one is better- Scissorfight! Every song is superb and I've been listening to it for 3 weeks since I bought it and it never gets boring. If I were you, I would get all of Scissorfight's CDs (definately, definately, counting this one) right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This item was ordered (in stock!) 7/7/05 and as of yet (8/9/05) I have not received it. Now I am being told it will not be delivered (shipped/received) until 9/17/05!!!
Get on the ball and don't lead customers on by promising "in stock" when you really have no idea whether or not you actually have the item promised!

I saw them twice in Chicago, once at China Club and once at the Cubby Bear.

Good shows both times. They were fun and funky. Lots of energy.

Fortunately, their energy and enthusiasm comes through on the CD too. They've got a rich sound and thumpin' bass.

It seems that only those of the Boston persuasion were really widely exposed (in a sense) to the wonder that was this band. Filled with energy (and a very cute redhead) they were a band that had both personality, and talent. Their songs are catchy, sometimes witty, always enjoyable. Much like others, my only wish is that they had kept going - they really had something going there.

I saw Chucklehead in concert twice and absolutely love their music. Both "Fuzz" and "Big Wet Kiss" are great CDs. They have a unique style. I heard the band split up a while ago which is a shame because they were so talented. I highly recommend this CD if you are looking for something different.

I only wish Chucklehead was more prolific in their music-making. Both "Big Wet Kiss" (hard to find these days) and "Fuzz" are fantastic cd's. These guys definitely do their own thing and it works. Lots of horns, great drums, will undoubtedly make you feel like dancing.

non compos mentis brings to mind a couple of great Victory bands..deadguy and bloodlet. though not as layered as bloodlet, they are still very brooding and pummel just as hard as deaguy(fixation on a co worker era) with a little kiss it good bye mixed in. if you like the aforementioned bands you will dig this.

This CD plays like a sophmoric Metallica meets King Crimson. Not that bad if you're in the mood for such sounds. The total time is pretty short, more like an EP at 25:26. It's on the Wonderdrug label which seems to produce a lot of interesting eclectic noise CDs. Try it if you can get it cheap, might be your cup of tea.

Okay. I'm trying to find out who actually did the background music to the Night of Slaughter scene, (# 22) on the Ghost Ship DVD, called "My Little Box". The DVD box accredits SUPERHONEY. Someone said it was Gabriel Mann, but then why would the box list SuperHoney as the artist? Any ideas?

Superhoney is a fantastic band. Their funky grooves are topped off by an incredible lead singer. Joanie has a powerful set of pipes on her. This band is going to enter the big leagues any day. Do yourself a favor...buy all of their CD's.

Some great songs on here and a great live act to catch if you have the opportunity. The last time I saw them (Harpers Ferry-Boston) there was a trailer full of totally hot chicks dancing all over the stage going nuts. Paul Schultheis may be the best rock piano player/keyboard man in the U.S.

... i saw superhoney at an outdoor concert in my hometown in newburyport, masachusettes. they were so amazing and the girl who sings is the best i have ever heard. she gave me all three of their cds and i listen to them all the time. my favorite song is super duper. all my friends like to dance and sing to it. i hope the band is still around when i turn 21 so i can see them at all the cool clubs.c-ya

Amazing. Hearing Honkeyball evolve from their 1st cd to this masterpiece has been a wonderful experience, and I'm sad they are no longer together. This album invokes images of old west gun fights & heists gone wrong. Songs range from feelings of depraved desperation in "In Harms Way", to the simple, yet amazingly uplifting "Bad Luck 1" & "Bad Luck 2". If you like hardcore, rock 'n' roll, or just good songs with good stories, do yourself a favor and get this now.

This is my favorite Honkeyball album!! (though Down By Three is excellent but with a distinctly different feeling). Kemosabi is a rock anthem for all time. These guys rock hard! A solid album for skating, boarding, or just hanging out.
