    To be honest, Skyclad is one of my favorite bands so I might be a bit biased. Still, the band merges metal influences and folk melodies. I love the constrast of electric bass and guitar with a violin on top. It adds lots of melodic possibilities and much depth to the songs too.

    Martin WAlkyier is as good as ever in writing lyrics. They are inspiring, poetic and utterly singable. You'll probably find yourself reciting them as if they were poetry. The music is good, happily mixing various influences. I wouldn't say Skylad could please anyone but if you appreciate originality, can tolerate both metal and irish folk then go for this record, I cannot recommend this band too highly anyway.

    This is the new album of the trash-legends Anvil. I like this CD(this is the only one I have so, I have no point of reference); fast and powerful songs, old-trash-school-like. What really caught my attention of these dudes (besides the good songwriting) is the sense of humour they show in the songs. You can take a look at the titles: "Park that truck", "Mattress mambo".My favorites are "Park...", "Speed of sound"(really heavy and powerful)and "No Evil". You will find really cool songs from a band that seems to enjoy(more than usual) what they're doing. If you like trash or heavy metal, get this CD.

    Starting with a Roaring Engine, followed by a short drum fill this cd hits you hard, a great mixture of powerful True Metal and fast Speedmetal. Awesome and interesting drumming and a fast and melodic guitar cover the deficits in writing good lyrics, the only thing that kept me away from a 5 Star Rating. So buy this CD if you're into...well, Anvil.

        The King Diamond shaped cd is great for true King Diamond collecters/fans! There are only Five songs on the cd but that's not the reason you should buy this realease. You should buy the cd for the shape alone. That is if you're a hard core King Diamond fan only! If you're not I see no reason you should buy this cd. The reason I say this is because the songs where taken from three different King Diamond albums; The Spider's Lullabye, The Graveyard and Voodo so you can just buy one or more albums out of the three listed that you may or maynot personely like. The songs are as follows; Moonlight, LOA House, Black Hill Sanitarium, From The Other Side and Voodo. The shape of the cd is a cut out of the mighty King Diamond's wicked face. This cd is becomeing hard to find, so if you find it buy it. All of you true Diamond freaks out there will love it just for the shape alone and lets not forget the great songs on the cd. You can't go wrong with any King Diamond or Mercyful Fate release. All of King's musical efforts are great! STAY BRUTAL!!!

        Nothing really special here, except an unusual design for the CD casing. Songs contained on the CD are Moonlight, LOA House, Black Hill Santitarium, From The Other Side and Voodoo. An absolute must for King Diamond fans who must have everything.
