Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars hilarious.......2005-09-19

after hearing Napalm Death's last opus, I decided to pick this one up, cos I have a weak spot for Buzz Osborne. Hey man, true entertainment. Kind of reminded me of the ways I enjoyed Slayer's Undisputed Attitude some ten years ago. The production is awesome - raw and uncompromising. highly addictive

5 out of 5 stars New Old School Hardcore Punk.......2005-02-02

Considering the line-up of this supergroup and the exposure they have received in the metal arena, one would expect a somewhat progressive death metal style. Surprisingly, this album has a very strong late-70's to mid-80's British hardcore sound, often much like Chaos UK with a touch of Extreme Noise Terror and Discharge.

In this extremely angry assault, the guitars are loose and the vocals are spat out like a chain saw. The tracks flow so well that if left on repeat, the beginning and end of the album are likely to go unnoticed (which is not a bad thing considering this only clocks about 35 minutes). The drums are crisp and tight, keeping the rest of the band on track. Though well produced, this definitely has a raw edge that will likely appeal more to the hardcore punk crowd than the musicians' death metal fans of late.

I want more!!

4 out of 5 stars CAUTION: MAY CAUSE PREGNANCY COMPLICATIONS.......2004-11-10

I was playing this one in my car and a pregnant girl beside me in the parking lot kindly asked me to turn it down, half-joking that it may affect her unborn baby.

When played loud enough, this album does become a public health hazard: inhuman, terrifying vocals; ballistic drumming; and guitar riffs that are probably illegal in at least several states.

This is every headbanger's dream: members of Napalm Death, Melvins, and Brutal Truth get together in a garage for a few beers, hit 'record' and bring the pain. What else do you want? It is absolute rawness, completely free of masturbatory guitar noodling, vocal sentimentality or fancy production. Brutal, relentless, skullcrushing hardcore the way we all want it.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best punk releases this year........2004-08-07

What more could be said, we got two members of Napalm Death, one member from The Melvins and one member from Brutal Truth. All three bands I love. Buzzo's riffs on this album are great, too, so are Sharp's vocals. This album pretty much incorperates mostly influences from Japan and Sweden (Gauze and Anti Cimex carry a strong influence) as well as a strong Poison Idea influence (from who they got their name) and Discharge. Also the members main bands carry influence into this project, you might even find a Melvins riff here or there. This is hardcore the way hardcore is supposed to be played, no girl pants, gym shorts or spin kicking hear. If you like thrash, crust, or grind you definately won't be dissapointed. And anyways, anyone who hypes Arch Enemy and Shadows Fall obviously has an opinion that can't be taken to seriously.

1 out of 5 stars I trashed mine.......2004-07-26

This s u c k s. Its noise, and this is coming from someone who likes death metal. I challenge any of you to cd roulette: basically we spin the cd and select a song at random, and you guess the song title. You would never do it!
I could maybe see someone giving this 3 stars, but 5? Have you heard bands like shadows fall, arch enemy, dimmu borgir, susperia, pantera, I could go on and on. Anyone that would give this 5 stars is either in the band, or knows the band. With all that aside, I should mention the production stinks, its very garage sounding. I also love Napalm Death and the Melvins but this is s h I t. I busted mine up and put it in the trash
8/18//04 - Follow up review for the dork bashing me - I also like Unleashed, Six feet under, cradle of filth, Fear factory, Cannibal corpse, Lyzanxia, My dying bride, napalm death - enemy of the music business, gorerotted, malevolent creation, Bloodbath, Macabre, Decide................
