5 out of 5 stars get it.......2006-10-06

This is where I started with Motorhead. I still consider it essential, despite owning "Stone Deaf Forever". Pure "Motor-Music".

5 out of 5 stars FREAKIN AWESOME!.......2006-09-30

This is the best Motorhead compliation out there. It contains all the classics and very little filler. Unfortunately, Motorhead has released some great songs since ("I Don't Believe a Word", Deaf Forever", "Devils", Living In the Past", Orgasmatron", Love Me Forever") so those gems will not be found here. That said, this is the starting point for any Motorhead or heavy metal fan.

4 out of 5 stars ... absolutely happy!.......2006-02-22

Before ordering the item at Amazon, I tried to obtain it from my reteiler in Italy. I gave it up after 3 months; with Amazon I've got it within somewhat more than 2 weeks. Absolutely happy, excellent CD, good quality!

4 out of 5 stars Only if you are looking for lost tracks.......2005-03-31

I bought this as my first Motorhead album. It was a flashback to when I was 14 and metal ruled the world. However, even then Motorhead was never quite as accepted as more 'main-stream' metal bands, like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Still, Motorhead tended to rock harder, as if to say,"You're more popular, but we're still going to kick your tails!"

On to the album: If you have the 'Best Of' collection, there's not much need for this one. All the big hits found here are there, plus Best Of features even more. NO REMORSE is only necessary if you're looking for some neat tracks not found elsewhere.

It's fun to hear Wendy O. Williams join the boys on a cover of No Class and a rousing version of 'Stand By Your Man'. And Snaggletooth is a bonifide rocker. However, the rest of the stuff is found on Best Of, and with better production.

So, if you're a die-hard rounding out your collection, go for this one. IF you're a newbie looking for a good place to get started, go for the Best Of compilation.

3 out of 5 stars no remorse II.......2004-02-25

I have to agree with the low star guy. I have this on cassett and it is quite differentin the songs. They are the same titles but some of them are live, To Late To late to name one.If I did not already have this set I would get The Best of Motorhead. It has many more songs or the after Killed by Death area.

LOL Just read that kids review below. I estimate he is about 14 years old at the most. That comment was the most ignorant and stupid comment I have read on this site. Classic stuff. As said before DO SOME HOMEWORK KID!!! How can you review an album without even hearing it? or knowing who the artist is? Also slagging off Snoop over Eminem is just showing your ignorance to Hip Hop in general.

Admittedly this is not RBX's best work, but it is also not bad either. worth getting to fill your collection with and if there is nothing else around, but again as said above there are far better albums out there, and If you are new to RBX the without question seek out The Chronic and Snoops Doggystyle. Apart from being two of the best Gangsta albums ever produced the collaborations from the guest artists such as RBX and Daz make them all the more enjoyable.

    4 out of 5 stars Good Album.......2005-04-29

This is a decent album, not your typical commercial/no creativity garbage..go get it.

And i'm real suprised by the stupidity of some kids who listen to Hip Hop,RapObsessed, why review this album when you have only heard one verse of RBX's?

Thats gotta be the dumbest $%^&* i seen all day!

    lol

3 out of 5 stars RBX is too hard for anyone not serious about rap.......2005-02-08

What is this KID talking about "I've only heard him on 'Remember Me'"? How the crap can you base a review on a single song?! How are you going to put your name as RapObsessed and not even know who this is? If you're obsessed with rap, or more so Eminem it seems like, you must have listened to Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic' at one point in your life or another. If not, get out of here, do some research, and come back when you have some education. RBX has been on The Chronic, Doggystyle, collaborated with Daz, Kurupt, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Tupac, MC Ren, and the list goes on. He even wrote 1/3 of the songs for Dre on The Chronic. Don't judge by one song on an album he shouldn't have even cared about being on. Cop The Chronic, listen to tracks 4, 9, 11, 12 (where he drops one of the best verses on the album), and 14. Better yet, cop The RBX Files and tell me that he sucks. Until then, waste your time on Eminem who I'll admit is amazing on the mic, but is a waste of memory bank and oxygen when it comes to giving a SH*T about any kind of social issue unless it affects him directly.

    1 out of 5 stars Ugg........2004-08-29

I havn't heard this album, so I'll do a review of RBX in general.
I've heard him only on the Marshall Mather's LP' "Remember Me", and if his performance on that track is reflective of his other work, then there is no reason for anyone to buy this. Half of his verse on that track don't even rhyme!! Plus, his voice is more like talking in a possessed way then rapping. Here, I'll paste his verse from "Remember Me.":

For this one it's the X, you retarded?
Cause I grab the mic and get DOWN, like Syndrome
Hide and roam into the masses, without boundaries
which qualifies me for the term "universal"
Without no rehearsal, I leak words that's controversial
Like I'm not, the one you wanna contest, see
cause I'll hit yo' a** like the train did that b*tch
that got "Banned From TV" -- heavyweight hitter
Hit you watch your whole head split up
    Loco-is-the-motion, we comin through
Hollow tips is the lead, the .45 threw

Oh my god, that is TERRIBLE!! There were like two lines that rhymed in the whole thing!! What was Dre thinking putting him on Chronic? Wasn't it bad enough with Snoop Dogg?

    5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2003-10-18

This is the real RBX style. I have loved and listened to RBX through the years and this album makes me proud that he is still releasing great music. I can't wait until his next release. If you love original "Cronic" CD this one will NOT dissapoint you.

3 out of 5 stars Not their best.......2007-03-31

Released in 1989, No Remorse was the 5th album from the British hard rock band Tokyo Blade. I hate to say it, but this is definitely not the band's best work. No Remorse sounds like a halfhearted cross between Ozzy Osbourne and TNT. There are a couple of straightforward metal tracks (Shadows of Insanity, the Eye of the Storm), a sappy ballad or two (Call Me Angel, Chains of Love), and a few that go for the L.A. sleaze rock sound (5-Inch Catwalk, Fever). The result is a completely adequate, yet completely forgettable hard rock album from a band that was capable of much more. This is just like what Shy released with their Misspent Youth album.

Unless you're trying to complete a Tokyo Blade collection, you may want to skip No Remorse.

3 out of 5 stars The Last good Tokyo Blade album!Good Stuff!.......2005-02-16

This Tokyo Blade album is good straight 80's metal. The eariler ones are bettr, but rock/metal fans won't be disapointed with this one from 1989.
1.Shadows of Insanity(9/10)Nice guitar work, vocalist is a bit high but sounds good for this kind of metal.
2.5inch Catwalk(6/10)A very decent song with some redeming factor in the lyrics and guitar part in the middle!
3.Fever(10/10)This song has one of the best guitar intro riffs i've ever heard.Andy Boulton really strunts his stuff one this track, he is very impressive throughout this song.Vocals fit well here too!
4.Call me Angel(7/10)This is the ballad type song on this cd.Not bad! It's better than today's music hands down!
5.Tears are not enought(9/10)Andy once again shows off his guitar tecinques on this one.Very well done track this one!
6.The eye of the storm(7/10)An attempt at a rock anthem. Not Bad!
7.Crystal Gold(9/10)Keyboard use on this one nicely done on the intro.Boulton shows us some more impressive fretwork on this one!Pretty decent chorus!
        8.Chains of Love(8/10)Nicely crafted song.Vocals are a bit much,but not horrible.
9.Angel(8/10)A more radio friendly tune this one kind of sounds.Still good guitarwork!
10.Stop it or Drop(6/10)Not the best song on here!Better than today's garbage though!
This is a good album for metal fans. Also try to find, Andy Boulton's Tokyo Blade Ain't Misbehavin from 1987, it has a different vocalist and Andy works magic with his guitar on that album!I highly stress buying that one.As a bass player and singer it is an essiential album Andy Boulton's Tokyo Blade Ain't Misbehavin.
Enjoy No Remorse, but I hope you look for the other one I recommended by him it's ten times better than this one!

3 out of 5 stars Not their best..........2001-09-14

I've been a Tree fan for years, but I must say that their older stuff was better. I'm trying not to sound nostalgic, but "Question Abuse" and even "V.O.C." were much better. This album has a cliche'd sound to it. I know that these guys are great musicians (and very worldly, educated human beings) and hope that their next album blows this one out of the water.

            Plant a Tree or Die.

5 out of 5 stars Another great TREE album.......2001-07-24

Tree has been a fixture in the Boston music scene for over 10 years. Their live shows are a sight to behold - high energy, full-impact audiovisual blasts. This latest record continues their tradition of in-your-face rock, with lyrics that keep you listening, not just moshing. No Regrets No Remorse shows the band's versatility with songs like Mexican Beer, a funk-based duet with a sexy female helping River's vocals. Tree doesn't stray far from their rocks roots for very long, though. I really love the stoner-rock "Subdued" and the assaulting "Wasted" about Mumia Abu Jamal. The guitar hooks are some of Tree's bset work yet, guitarist Ooze has matured over the years a great deal. Vocalist River actually sings a lot more on this album than he has in the past, and it really works well. This band should have hit big years ago. Too bad they are one of Boston's best-kept secrets. I may be biased because I have been a long-time fan, but I think anyone who enjoys amazing, powerful rock music can enjoy No Regrets No Remorse.

            Customer Reviews:

            5 out of 5 stars Very interesting.......2005-02-15

Josef Krips is my favorite conductor of all time, especially of Mozart. I had never heard him conduct Verdi, and even though he would have been of an advanced age in 1971 (the year of this recording), I bought it anyway.

This is good collection of highlights: it is over 70 minutes long and includes pretty much every major aria and ensemble in the opera. The conducting of Krips is, as I expected, logical and elegant in his Viennese fashion. As another reviewer has noted, there are a few beats where the singers and orchestra aren't in the same groove - but it's a live performance, and the performers are on their toes and are back together in no time. These mistakes are merely ripples and no energy is lost.

Nicolai Gedda annd Ileana Cotrubas (who is to me the most splendid of all Violettas), are no-brainers. They sparkle together in as Alfredo and Violetta should, and sink together properly later on as well.

The recording quality is merely decent; but for a budget label, such is hardly unexpected. Get this if you like Krips, or great conducting in general, and certainly if you enjoyed Cotrubas in the Kleiber set.

5 out of 5 stars $5 for these wonderful Traviata highlights is a steal........2000-12-07

Both Ileana Cotrubas and Nicolai Gedda are in fine voice for this 1971 live performance from the Vienna Staatsoper. Cotrubas, in particular, was in the early spring of her career and had just signed a three year contract with the house. All the promise of a magnificent career can be heard in her already maturing artistry and dramatic emphasis, and that, combined with the youthful bloom and beauty of her lovely, evenly placed soprano, makes this a thrilling operatic introduction. We get a generous hour and a quarter of music and the particular joy of hearing Cornell Macneil's authentic Verdian baritone in it's prime. Josef Krips conducts with rather too much enthusiasm at times, and leaves his tenor, soprano and chorus behind for a moment or two in Act 1. It's interesting to hear them musically bumping into each other and the overall musical and dramatic effect is not badly spoiled. The recording quality is surprisingly, very good. This is a must buy, especially at the excellent price.
