Same ole Exodus you grew up with!.......2007-08-01
This album and for the most part this band is really comical with the off the cuff type of lyrical syle they have. The vocalist sounds like a pissed off fat guy that has indulged in one too many brews and cupcakes and is between drunk and tweeking from the chocolate in the cupcakes. Some call the lyrics full of hate and rage towards everything. I call them trying to make the same point other bands far better have made and moved on. This band has been around awhile but still wreak of mid to late 80's good to some but goofy also. The vocalist has no talent except for the funny way he sounds with these wild lyrics. "War is my Sheperd" is probaly the best song on here if I have to pick one other than that this Album gets very monotnous fast.
Shredding 80's style thrash .......2006-09-14
EXODUS returns with energy, great vocals, and unforgettable chorus
An excellent thrash album. This San Francisco thrash band was one of the first on that scene and can still put out a great album that so many metal bands can't seem to do?
This is how a band can stay true to what it does best after all the years have passed and still sound hungry. Just an awesome cd, No posers here.
Exodus rule (with Zetro).......2006-08-04
This album is one thrashing cd!!! Exodus sounds great on this album. " Blacklist" really sticks out. Great comeback album!!!
Brutal Thrash!.......2006-07-13
This album absolutely rips!. Steve Souza sounds like a man possessed, despite the unfortunate loss of Paul Baloff. Tempo of the Damned reveals a brutal dimension to his voice never heard before and it's pretty damn effective in perfectly complementing the vicious guitar attack of Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt. Much darker and heavier than any other Exodus studio release, this recording is great to listen to anytime anyplace, at home, in the car, to get your blood boiling. I guarantee that any fan of Exodus or thrash metal in general will not be disappointed. Snap this one up without hesitation, crank it up and enjoy!
Just cause its 2006 dont mean Thrash is dead.......2006-06-30
Some moron on VH1's history of metal was talking about Metallica and saying when the Black album came about that it was good because what where they supposed to do. Play Thrash all their musical life? EXODUS proves that you can still play thrash and be musically creative even in 2006. In fact, this album needs no review, go out and buy it already, it rocks just like the EXODUS of old

..a nice wake up call.........2006-06-16
..just when i was about to give up on the whole speed/death metal scene, along comes this cd. Exodus are one of the true masters of speed, and in this release, they DID NOT disappoint..simply one of the best to come down the pike, in a long a*s time..
p.s. definitely blows away "St.Anger"
Pass the Exodus Please!!!!.......2005-11-01
I've never written a reivew before but I think cd deserves one.
I have been listening to Exodus since the day Pleasures of the Flesh was released. When I think of thrash metal, and the bay area scene, I don't think of Metallica, though I am a huge fan, I think of Exodus. Since Bonded by Blood, their first, they have been shredding an uncompromising path of destruction through just about everything else that has the audacity to call itself thrash.
If advice could be given, and accepted for that matter, to all these new bands that think they're "heavy", it would be to quit. They are an embarrasment to the genre. They should be forced to sit in a room and listen to Exodus, from beginning of career to this album, until they have every nuance memorized. It could only help them write something intelligent and, for lack of a better word, fresh, becuase the metal world is sadly lacking, and has been for quite some time. Now to the album.
From Scar Spangled Banner to Tempo of the Damned this album is an unrelenting onslought riffs and jams, and for some of you out there, an equally viscious attack of acerbic and often times "sacreligious" lyrics. Most of the music and lyrics are written by Gary Holt, as usual, and he's had a decade to brood about the things that have pissed him off, and given him "Fuel For the Fire".
My favorites are "Blacklist" and "Culling the Herd" but even being prejudiced as I seem to be toward Exodus, there isn't a dull moment on this cd. It spent 6 months in my cd changer in my car and home, and gets some serious rotation on my Ipod as well.
This album ended up being a tribute to Paul Baloff, Exodus' original lead singer, who suffered a stroke in 2002 and died. He had been working on the material, and, as is only right, Steve "Zetro" Souza stepped in to complete the project. Baloff wasn't ever much of a vocalist, in the classic sense of the word, but he had a stage presence that more than made up for that. I've always loved Souza's voice and he definitely didn't disappoint on this album.
The long and short of it is this: if you consider yourself an Exodus fan, or if you ever thought you knew, or know, what thrash metal is, then you need to get this cd and then you need to wear it out at maximum volume.
Nuff said!
A Ball Tearing Album.......2005-08-22
I like to go to the cd music store & search for a new band or album that just simply blows me away, also gets me hooked into it. Well, this album does just that. From the very start to the very finish, it rips right thru my soul & stomps on it, then asks me, "I hope you liked it" My most favorite track has to be the almighty "Blacklist", i play & repeat that heavy little ditty numerous times & it makes me think of this question to ask other bands, "Why can't you be as heavy as THIS?" The whole album is a massive kick in the ass, & is as heavy as hell. The song "Impaler" written by Kirk Hammett, is a classic fast track too. All in all, one of the fastest albums, if not, THE fastest album of the past 4-5 years, without sounding out of control.
Where's the 6-Star Rating ???.......2004-11-30
All bow down and worship the masterpiece that Exodus has layed upon the metal masses. In a time of wimpy, pathetic, mallcore, rap-wannabe wussy-bands, Exodus unleashes an INSTANT CLASSIC to rip the hair off your balls and slap your mother in the face. This is the first CD I've given a 5-star rating and it really deserves a 6!!!
This is the greatest piece of musical mayhem that has been released in the past 3 years. Metallica should all be locked up in a room and forced to listen to this CD, 24 hours straight for an entire year and then released and told they have one more chance to get it right before being castrated and forced to lip-synch with Ashley Simpson.
WOW.......2004-03-07
I bought this cd on based on reviews I saw from other websites, and for the single alone, wow, this is my first Exodus cd but it certanly won't be my last, War is my sheppard is my favorite the chorus just stands my hair on end, the rest of the cd is great too, not a bad track on the cd, and ac/dc's cover over dirty deeds done dirt cheap was good too, i don't have much else to say but if thrash is your style of music then go and pick this cd up right away.
