NICE, VERY NICE.......2002-02-12

I finally stumbled upon this CD! I have constantly been hearing "Give Him The Glory" on the radio, but the anouncer never says who it is. I was searching on an internet site that gives samples of gospel music. I remember hearing the name Keith Brooks some time ago. So, I clicked on it and jumped for joy when I finally found who "that song" was by. This young talent should be a role model for all aspiring young artists. He has a very contemporary sound, yet still has a very spiritual basis for his songs. Oh, there is no commercialism in this album, just real gospel music. This is what I'm talkin about when I say I want to hear some new but good gospel. The choir isn't "WAP" or "New G," but they hold their weight with excellent support from the band and superb songwriting. This is an album I am going to recommend to everyone I come in contact with. Please listen to my favorite songs on the album: "Because He Lives" and "Give Him The Glory." This album is slammin. TOP NOTCH for a new group. EnJoY.

I highly recommend this excellent project. As a consumer, I love this project!! The sound of this choir is strong! The band is tight! You will be pleasantly surprised to enjoy the entire project as opposed to one song. Throughout the project there are vocal surprises within the choir, little special parts within the alto and soprano lines that add depth to the songs. The title cut, 'Perfect Peace' and 'I Love You, Lord' are examples of these special vocals. These songs also show the vocal range of this choir. The arrangement of 'Because He Lives' is excellent and the vamp is one where you can go straight to church, no problem. 'In Your Presence' is absolutely awesome, the male lead is incredible, and the choir sings with such control, you won't believe it. The organ prelude on 'Oh, What a Blessing' is sure to take your breath away. 'Give Him the Glory' showcases the strength and power of the choir and the band. The lead on 'I Don't Know Why' is an awesome soprano, and the arrangement of 'Nothing But the Blood' really catches your attention. From beginning to end, you'll appreciate having this CD in your collection. It is certain to uplift and encourage you. You will be pleased with the quality of this project as well. This choir has captured the sound reminiscient of Rev. Milton Brunson and the "Tommies," as well as Min. T. Whitfield and the Company, and taken it to a new level.
