Product Description
Danny Bowes & Luke Morley's (both from the band Thunder) second album is an 11 song collection of sublime, soulful hooks, pure-pop melodies & the occasional outburst of classic 70s retro rock, including covers of Stevie Wonder's 'Living For The City' & Ann Peeble's 'I Can't Stand The Rain'. 'Mo's Barbecue' could only have been created by a singer & guitarist that intuitively understand each other's artistic strengths & appreciate all that's good about popular music. Frontiers. 2004.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome musicianship !!!.......2006-07-25

Another fine CD from Bowes and Morley, these guys have amazing talent. They keep surprising me with each CD they release. The music is outstanding and way better than the crap you hear on radio stations these days. My favourite tracks from this are Desire, living for the city, on a day like today, since i left her, illogical, that's not love. Just beautiful music. You won't be dissapointed.

      5 out of 5 stars Smokin'!.......2004-04-21

Or should I say smokey? Really, I think the best way to describe this CD in my opinion is SEXY. I haven't heard a more soulful CD ever. It totally puts me in the mood. Love the remake of "Come Together in the Morning" (Free/Paul Rodgers). All the tracks are beautifully put together. Some of my personal faves are "Desire" and "Illogical". Both songs are musically and lyrically outstanding.

      5 out of 5 stars Freakin' awesome!.......2004-03-14

If you know anything about Thunder, the world's best undiscovered outside Europe or Japan, then you know all about the soulful vocals of Danny Bowes & the wonderful playing, production, & songwriting skills of Mr. Luke Morley. This album is so killer! It has a really soulful vibe to it & some outstanding covers & originals! JUST BUY IT, IT'S THAT GOOD!!
