Caiman does not have this title in stock...........2007-01-05
This is a great CD from these death metal kings. To all people who are looking to purchase this CD, I must tell you that Caiman does not have this in stock. I ordered it from them one month ago and still haven't received it. When I contacted them, they said it was on backorder and then the very next day, they relisted it. So, if you really want this CD, I wouldn't order it from them because you will never get it. Just a warning so as not to waste your time...
Excellent death metal.......2004-09-26
This album sounds great, especially at full blast. 'Death Unlimited' is much heavier than Norther's previous album 'Mirror of Madness'. The guitar work is much more intense this time (riffs, solos, even bass). Norther sounds like they are trying to kick some @ss on this CD. Keyboards are still around and complement the music very well to give the cool melodic feel. Although the 'Mirror of Madness' CD had some excellent songs, some sounded kinda cheesy maybe due to the production. The songwriting on 'Death Unlimitied' is much improved, although heavier. This is one of those albums that makes you want to play air guitar (nothing wrong with that).
Amazon currently sells 2 versions of this album, $19 and $50 versions. The $50 version appears to include one extra song, 'Tornado of Souls' (MegadetH cover?). Anyways, one might be able to get a cheaper deal off ebay or free through unlegal downloads. However, I had no regrets purchasing this album.

Dissapointment for me........2004-08-16
"Mirror Of Madness" is a really tough CD to follow. Unfortunatly, Norther doesnt pull through with "Death Unlimited." They seem to have decided to make songs heavier and rely less on melodies. Some may like that, but when it comes to Norther, I would rather hear melodies than crunchy parts. Not as many memorable tracks on this CD, the keyboards dont impress me too much. I must admit, there are some very good guitar solos and I give them credit for trying out clean vocals. Some songs are catchy and make me want to sing along. I wouldnt say don't buy this album, I'll just say get their other albums first.

Album Description
Since 1991, The Luttenbachers have been fusing hardcore punk rawness, death metal speed/technicality, free jazz asymmetry, no wave skronk, prog rock conceptual bombast, electronic noise, and modern classical abstraction. On "The Void", the band walks the line between control and chaos with newfound subtlety and expert precision. This is their most rocking album to date.

survived and back for more.......2005-01-11
i saw the luttenbachers back in 1997 in st louis. i think the bass player tried to kill me. nevertheless, i was absolutely floored by the performance. i ran out and bought Gods of Chaos. jesus. now i am rediscovering them. what i like most about their music is the contrast between tight compositional work and absolute cacophony. its beautiful. void is at once relaxing and pain inflicting. like washing the dirt of humanity off yourself with a bottle of vodka and a brillo pad while eating marshmallows. yumm. i highly recommend this albulum.

A Shakespeare Celebration is the companion CD to a Stratford-upon-Avon Shakespeare birthday concert supervised by Stephen Warbeck, Head of Music of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Featuring 10 exceptionally acclaimed composers from the classical, jazz, film, and theater worlds, some of the pieces are newly recorded from past RSC productions, others specially composed and more loosely inspired. Interspersed on separate tracks are short extracts from the plays performed by Malcolm Storry and Harriet Walter. Warbeck features his Oscar-winning Shakespeare in Love, and a setting that captures the "strange beauty" of "The Death of Ophelia," to which Mark-Anthony Turnage adds an unsettling "Ophelia's Lament." Similarly bleak is Django Bates's "A Glooming Peace," commemorating Romeo and Juliet. Shaun Davey wrote a fine score for the film of Twelfth Night, and here offers the sad beauty of "Winter's End." Also inspired by A Winter's Tale, but incorporating sampling and contemporary music techniques, is "Lullaby Exit Bear!" by Huw Warren. Other tracks range from Broadway melodies and Jason Carr's "Poem Unlimited" to the colorful exuberance of Anne (The Full Monty) Dudley's "Strange Capers." As in Shakespeare's plays, here is the whole of life's rich pageant, making a rewarding if unavoidably fragmented celebration. --Gary S. Dalkin

Unbelievable.......2007-03-24
Susperia's 'Unlimited' is their best album to date. With killer songs like Chemistry, Home Sweet Hell, Situational Awareness, and Devil May Care, this album is definitely worth it. Every song on this album is great, delivering the dark and heavy music Susperia is famous for. If you have never heard Susperia before, this album should be your first, and will not be your last. For those existing Susperia fans who don't already own this, I have but one question for you; What are you waiting for?
.......2005-09-04
When it comes to quality, professionally performed Metal, you can bet that's exactly what you'll get from this record. I never thought that a neo-thrash band with symphonic black metal influences would sound this good. While it's sort of grounbreaking in a way, it's easy to see who this band's main influence is. Susperia has taken so much inspiration from the band Testament, musically and vocally, that it is so visibly transparent. If you listened to this record without knowing it's Susperia you'd think it's Chuck Billy behind the mic! They've added a bit of their own style as well, though. The degree of excellence coming from the material is simply excellent, so the semi-plagiaristic aspects of the album can be overlooked. Besides, half the songs here stand as pure Susperia numbers, like on "Devil May Care," where the heavyness takes a backseat in exchange for happy, melodic realms. On the other hand, "Situational Awareness" is a great rockin' anthem, and sees Susperia in pure Metal mode, with hooks so catchy you'll find yourself singing the chorus in your head all day. In retrospect, this record takes pride in what it is and tries bo be nothing else and I must say that what they've acomplished is pretty damn good.
Now this is the future of Thrash!.......2005-08-09
I bought this cd knowing only that they supposedly sounded like Testament. and well this is the best album Testament never recorded. this has all the good elements from the melodic death metal scene and all the best elements of thrash metal. Not only does the music kill, I mean some of the best flowing songs and solos I've heard in a while. but Susperia have one of the best vocalists in the scene right now. Along with Bio-mechanical, and Nevermore, Susperia are the future of metal...and the future is looking bright.
Very surprising album.......2005-08-04
They may not be the best known band but this album along with the other 2 just blew my mind away. Before Predominance, the hardest I'd ever listened to was Slayer and I didn't care for black and death metal at all. Susperia combines those two with thrash (my favorite type of metal) making more melodic music. Highly reccomended. (Check out Predominance also)
Best tracks: Home Sweet Hell, Chemistry
They deliver again and again.......2005-07-12
Susperia delivers again with their unique delivering of Thrash, Death, and Black Metal influenced chaos. Throw in the occasional Power Metal (ala Judas Priest) vocals and you have some really innovative music that oozes aggression and hatred as well as creativity and atmosphere. I was a little worried about this band's 3rd album (the 3rd album usually solidifies a band's greatness by either making or breaking them) but my worries were all put to rest when I heard the opening guitar intro to "Chemistry". Fans of this band's previous work will not be disappointed, Susperia delivers once again; who cares what former bands these guys used to belong to, because now they have a style and sound that's unmatched and all their own. \m/ That's very rare in the metal scene nowadays and bands that do have what it takes to set themselves apart should be praised, the individual musicians in this band are amazing and are obviously throwing everything out there to burn off whatever labels they have been stuck with.
