Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Best of 80s and 90s rolled into one unique album.......2006-12-18

Firstly the album ...

If you enjoy/enjoyed 80s/early 90s soft rock and/or hard rock you will love this album but note it's not straight rock. In the same vein as successful bands of the era, the album features a rather eclectic mix of styles, including hard rock and ballads. Just about every song has lyrics that resonate from that time period and were obviously written with some heartfelt meaning at the time. A lot of 80s/90s bands I have grown out of but this album continues to rock - highly recommended.

Now, Juno ...

I grew up in Melbourne Australia and have been living in the U.S. for many years. I went to school with Juno (real name not revealed here out of respect!) Roxas (or Roxus as he goes by now) and I was best mates with him for a couple of years (around the ages of 12/13). I used to go around to his house (in a multi-cultural suburb of Australia called Springvale) a fair bit. I was a straight-laced dorky type (if you will) and Juno was clearly a free spirit - even at this young age, showing clear signs he wanted to break the cultural & economic sterotypes of the time and area. He had a magnetic personality and underneath it all was a terrific and sincere guy.

Juno would often break out his guitar and jam a little - he was learning at the time. Few people know that his Dad was a top musician in his own right.

Well we went our separate ways, per the laws of nature and when my sister pointed out he was making waves in Australia with his band Roxus I was not surprised - he was always charismatic with great natural ability. Well my sister mentioned this album and I picked it up a couple of years ago and decided to write a review.

I am not sure what happened to Juno but hopefully he is well and if anyone knows his whereabouts post a review!

5 out of 5 stars Classic AOR!!!.......2006-12-12

This Austrailian band plays AOR music like Alias, Starship, Danger Danger or Giant. This CD is a classic in the genre and the song "Where Are You Now?" is AOR perfection. "Where Are You Now?" also got some play on Mtv but grunge had already taken over by 1992 & they were out of luck. If you like Alias, Starship, Giant, Bad English, Danger Danger, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard then do not miss this classic. It ranks right up there with this calibur of musicians. Standout songs are Where Are You Now?, First Break Of The Heart and This Time. DO NOT miss this classic or you will regret it.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!.......2005-11-09

This album is from an Australian band. It was released in 92 and it is a great Hard Rock album, from the beggining to the end, one of the most incredible and beautiful album.
If you like Danger Danger, Tyketto and bands like that, you'll love it.

5 out of 5 stars Ultimately Awesome!.......2005-03-01

Don't hesitate to buy this album. It is pop metal and sounds excellent. If you like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Racer X, Helix, and others you WILL NOT, AND WHEN I SAY YOU WILL NOT, I MEAN THAT, you will not be disappointed. Trust me!
