Unsung heros of the Motown era.......2007-07-14
If you liked "the Motown Sound" you will be pleased to listen to the great studio musicians who were the creators of this unique, magical music. It was a surprise at first to learn that all the great Motown singers were backed up in the studio by the same incredible musicians. These CDs contain the original band of musical brothers backing up our finest young contemporary singer-artists. Much of the music was recorded live, in concert for a very lucky audience. I wish I had been there. This collection puts you there for awhile.
You could do like I have done and purchase the documentary film on dvd for your television and the CDs for your ipod.
The Funk Brothers Accompaniment Tracks.......2007-07-08
I was familiar with the movie and soundtrack, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown", and thoroughly enjoyed them both. The second disc of this set with naked instrumental remixes of the original Motown hits was a welcome suprise. In particular, hearing the bass work of James Jamerson was like a master lesson in bass playing.
Get this!!.......2007-07-05
This is great. The Funk Brothers can still cook. Liner notes are a great read. Backing tracks on disc 2 are very interesting and fun to listen to. The performances on disc 1 from the Standing in the Shadows movie are all very good. You can tell however that the voice of the late David Ruffin is sorely missed in Aint to Proud to Beg.
Get it.....it will have you dancin'.
Can't stop dancing.......2007-04-13
I purchased this CD after watching the movie. I was not disappointed! My 7 year old daughter claims that she doesn't like Mom's music and there was no way she'd be dancing when I played it. Well, she couldn't sit down! I love to dance and I love upbeat music. This is highly recommended to anyone who likes something funky to move to. Get it!
Classic Motown.......2007-03-08
I bought this CD after previously buying the DVD and watching the documentary of the Funk Brothers. Joan Osborne (whom I never heard of before this album or DVD was released) is astounding. Her rendition of "What becomes of the broken hearted" is unmatched by anyone ever. The CD sounds excellent and could not be improved in any way. Instrumental's like "Bernadette" are very well crafted with different instruments coming in as the song requires. I would buy this one again or for gifts as it is one you won't put in your CD file and not play again. I keep my copy in my car and play it several times a week. It's great fun and professionally packaged..one of the best packaged CD's I have seen so far. They did a good job on this one and it shows...in every way.

The phenomenal story of Motown has been told many times--so many in fact, that the notion of an untold part of its legacy seems far-fetched. But as the documentary film Standing in the Shadows of Motown demonstrates, there was more to the success of the Detroit-based label than singing babes in gowns and founder Berry Gordy's business acumen. There was also the self-named Funk Brothers: the session players putting the unforgettable guitar sounds into "You Keep Me Hangin' On" and the creeping bass line behind "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." These guys were a crucial piece of the puzzle but have remained largely anonymous. While the Standing documentary tells the Funk Brothers' story via interviews, stock footage, and still photos, the accompanying soundtrack takes liberties, pairing the surviving musicians with contemporary pop, R&B, and funk artists. Together, they faithfully recast Motown hits. What could have been a disaster--would you want to muck with "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"?--works beautifully, thanks both to the Brothers' chops and the thoughtful artist selection. While enlisting a soul brother like Ben Harper was a no-brainer, the inclusion of Joan Osborne was especially astute. After all, Osborne's deep connection to R&B is why her production of the Holmes Brothers' Speaking in Tongues disc was genius, and she acquits herself beautifully on "(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave" and "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted." Similarly, bass boss Meshell Ndegeocello gives Chaka Khan competition in the gospel diva department. Bootsy Collins, Gerald Levert, and Montell Jordan also contribute. Motown purists may balk at this concept, but they'd have to agree these readings are smart, respectful, and very, very soulful. --Kim Hughes

Junior Walker and the Allstars "Shotgun". Why would you listen to this when you can download the real thing. Sorry I like my Temptations and to record such classics although done again and again like "I heard it thru the Grapevine" poorly is a sin. This is definately in the Shawdows of Mowtown. Probably cant dance either.
I love this disk!.......2007-05-25
Unlike most reviewers, I didn't much care for most of what came out of Motown during its heyday. In particular, I found the vocal styles overbearing and self-indulgent.
The covers of these classic tunes are, with two exceptions, far superior to the originals in my opinion, not least because the musicianship of the Funk Brothers is a stronger part of the mix and the vocals are much more to my taste. In particular, Joan Osborne and Chaka Kahn blew me away with the raw power and emotion of their interpretations of songs whose original versions didn't do much for me.
In my mind, this is the Motown album for those who think they don't like Motown!!!
best of all motown CD ever!.......2007-04-06
arrive on time, perfect conditions, great music on top of it...
The Deluxe Edition is the version to go for....but this is still mighty fine!!!.......2007-01-22
The saying goes that the funk Brothers performances were so good that "Once The Funk Brothers had recorded the instrumental part of a song, it didn't matter who sang over it". Now there's a lot of truth in this statement, because the Funk Brothers layed down some of the most recognisable instrumentals over the last 30 years (although you won't realise it was their work at first). This disk features the performances by the Funk Brothers, with various artists's vocals completing the songs. "Me'Shell NdegeOcello" gives a typically impassioned live performance on "You've Really Got a Hold on Me", that truly is deserving of her position as one of the most accomplished female vocalists of recent years. The instrumental "Bernadette" is exactly the reason, why you'd buy this album, beautifully composed, impeccably performance, and completely reflective of the motown sound, at its creative peak.
Some Criticism's have been made regarding "Ben Harper's" contributions here, and I don't feel it's completely justified, just look at the songs that he's tackling ("Marvin Gaye's, legendary "I heard it through the Grapevine"), most artists would baulk at the idea of what is considered one of the greatest songs ever made. And Ben Harpers effort is by any means of fantastic effort, and worthy of praise. Is it comparable to Marvin's effort??.....Of course not!!, It'd be nearly impossible to match (or indeed improve) on the original, and Ben Harper in no way embarrasses himself here. Sure, he can't quite match the depth or emotion of Marvin's version.....but I ask you this "Who can???". Moving on this disk provides many highlights and all the contributions here (especially "Chaka Khan", "Bootsy Collins") are more than worthy of inclusion on this release, with many tracks providing interesting Covers/Spins on the original tracks.
Ultimately what you get here is a superior funk album, that is not only a tremendous document of the Funk Brothers work, but also a fantastic sounding album in it's own right. But as much as I wholeheartedly want to recommend this album (and it is superb), but I beg and implore anyone thinking of purchasing this, to shell out the extra dollars and pick up the `Deluxe' 2-cd edition of this release, for the instrumental disk, with features the tracks stripped of their vocals, and just featuring the instrumental work of the band. As it truly highlights just how sublime this group of musicians were....and just how much you lose by not having that second disk, and seeing how this release was fully intended. but for those that aren't prepared to pick up the deluxe edition, you'll still have a mighty fine edition of what is undoubtedly a great release.

5 STARS AND THEN SOME !!.......2006-02-10
Oh Julie, the songs you sang on this CD are superb. I wish you could still give us that joy. If you can only sing in the low registers, give us jazz!! You can do it I just know you can!!
Pretty Sad, .......2005-10-27
Hollywood veteran Julie Andrews has had a glorious career, but not without its downsides. Her legend is built on "The Sound of Music" and "Mary Poppins" and other glorious roles. Her abilities as a singer were never impressive or great, her voice often sounded weak, but she always knew how to sing around her very limited vocal range. On this collection she performs some of the greatest Broadway tunes ever written and even though she does a good job, her voice just doesn't hold up against many of these tunes. Her warmth is felt all over the album, in "Here I'll Stay" she wraps her gentle, but narrow, voice around it and in "My Funny Valentine" she sticks to the lower register of her voice. However, in the re-recording of her classic "Sound of Music" and in "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever" her voice fails her, it often sounds thin and airy and it's actually quite sad to listen to. When all is said and done Julie Andrews remains a great talent, and most of that talent is largely due to her amazing capability as a performer and her genuine warmth.
I FELL IN LOVE WITH JULIE ALL OVER AGAIN.......2005-06-25
As a young kid growing up in the Philippines I remember my Dad playing his state-of-the-art Aiwa tape recorder back in the 60s and hearing Julie Andrews' voice - truly the voice of an angel! Now, hearing these songs again with adult ears I fell in love with her voice all over again !
A Great Julie Andrews CD.......2002-01-27
If you are a fan of Dame Julie's and musicals, this is the cd for you. It is a compilation of songs from prevously released albums; The King and I, The Music of Richard Rodgers, Here I'll Stay, and Victor/Victoria, Original Broadway Cast Recording.
I found the material to be very well put together giving the listener selections from My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Sound of Music, Victor/Victoria and others. What more could you want?
As for Ms. Andrews, she is superb. There is simply no one like her. I have heard comments that prior to the infamous throat surgery she was unable to handle the difficult material and hit those high notes. This is just not true. All you have to do is listen to these songs recorded in the early 90's to know that she still had a marvelous voice. Lets hope that one day she will be able to sing and record again. If not, these may be her last recordings so treasure them.
The My Fair Lady suite is wonderful and Ms. Andrews definitely hit the high note at the end of "I Could Have Danced All Night".
Her version of "Edelweiss" and "The Sound of Music" are lovely.
Also worth listening to is "Living in the Shadows" written for the Broadway production of Victor/Victoria so you won't find it on the movie soundtrack. The lyrics are by Leslie Bricusse who also penned "Crazy World", which is another great selection on this cd.
Overall this is a cd worth having in your collection, so buy it today. Otherwise you are missing out.
Climbing Every Mountain with Mary Poppins.......2002-01-22
Julie Andrews and her music have been an inspiration to me
every since I stepped into a theater and watched Mary Poppins
(many years ago). I admire her talent and her voice on this CD. I know it is not as clear a voice as she used to have but I still enjoy listening to her. I listen to this CD when I want a "pick me up" and am proud to have it as part of my collection.

Another Immolation masterpiece.......2007-06-23
The new Immolation cd is another Immolation masterpiece. It's actually even better than Harnessing Ruin, and I love Harnessing Ruin. (as well as all of their albums) This effort seems to be a little more precise and focused than Harnessing. Also, the production and mix is a little more clear on this album. The results? This seems to be the most straight forward, to the point release so far. Kind of like Close To A World Below but the songs are all just under 4 minutes except for a few.
Another point to make is that even though this whole album seems more straight forward, they didn't lose any of their trademark Immolation songwriting ability whatsoever! It still has Bob's trademark riffing and their punishing, pummeling,Immolation whirlwind style.
It's really amazing how a band can still maintain their identity like this band has without becoming cheesy or corny or without completely changing their style.
This band is simply one of the best and most under-rated bands in all of extreme music. Highly recommended if you even just liked one of thier cd's.
Immolation: on the verge.......2007-06-12
I have to start by admitting that Immolation is one of my favorite bands: not for what they are, but for what they could be. If you listen closely to Shadows in the Light and its predecessor, Harnessing Ruin, you will find complex structures, memorable riffs, and Death Metal that is approaching a state of sophistication that other bands are not reaching.
The biggest negative Immolation is facing is their studio recording, production, and mixing. Oh, what I'd give to hear a Tue Madsen produced Immolation CD! Shadows in the light is slightly less muted and muddied than Harnessing Ruin, which is a plus. However, when you listen to Behemoth's Demigod or Kataklysm's latest, you will understand this point. Immolation just needs technical expertise to truly blast the world with superior DM.
I rated Shadows in the Light at 4 stars because of the production values. I rate Immolation as a band at 5.

A copy in every household . . ........2003-02-09
This disc is so chock-full of classic scores from classic films that every movie-and-music lover should own a copy. Thanks to Robert Townson for producing this collection and the entire Varese film score catalog. My favorite tracks from this disc are "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf"; "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"; and "Midway".
A sampler feat. some of the greatest film scores in history........2001-09-06
Words cannot convey what a collection like this means to a film music collector such as myself. Varese Saraband has been releasing quality film scores and music for the last 20 plus years. My vinyl and CD collections burst with so much great stuff from Varese. One day I was looking in the bins of my local record store and noticed this little gem of a collection. I looked at it and saw a virtual cornucopia of the great film score cues for only $ (and 2 discs). So I purchased it and opened it up. Much to my surprise, the booklet is chock full of information about each scoring session and pictures to boot. I also learned more about some of these wonderful pieces as well. Well thanks to Mr. Townson and this nice collection, I plan to purchase some of the recordings these cues were released on since I don't own classics like Viva Zapata, Alex North's 2001, Superman (not the Varese version, I do have the other release), and Patton. Guess I will have to save a few pennies, but it will be worth it. I recommend this collection to anybody who wants to discover and learn about the history of film music. I also think it's a great listen from the first song to the last on both discs. My compliments to Varese on a great collection of classics (and keeping it under $).
"the man behind Varese Sarabande ~ Robert Townson".......2001-04-06
The music that this label releases is without a doubt in a class by themselves, always perfection. Here we have the 500th CD release from ~ "The Man Behind The Music" ~ Mr. Robert Townson. So much care is taken with each album, that you feel you are witnessing the birth of a newborn baby, and that may be just what it is.
For those of us who buy each album ~ people who work to create them ~ the artwork ~ musicians ~ and a list of some of the most talented composers and conductors ~ John Barry, Elmer Bernstein, John Debney, Georges Delerue, Cliff Eidelman, Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Herrmann, Michael Lang, Henry Mancini, Joel McNeely, Alfred Newman, Alex North, Miklos Rozsa, Dimitri Shostakovich, Frederic Talgorn, Franz Waxman, Rick Wentworth and John Williams ~ and as always the sound quality and performances by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and National Philharmonic Orchestra is dynamically flawless and simply superb.
This economically priced 2-CD-Set ~ pure film score sampling ~ is worth it's weight in gold. One should not have a favorite from this vast collection, but if asked ~ it would be "TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD" (1962) composer Elmer Bernstein took it to the limit and beyond, the story-line, cast and score was the perfect marriage.
A big, big thank you to ~ Matthew Joseph Peak (cover/session photography) ~ Jonathan Allen, Geoff Foster, Bernie Kirsh, Mike Ross, Mike Sheady and Al Swanson (recording engineers) ~ Rich Breen (mastering engineer) ~ and for the extensive 28 page liner-note booklet featuring "behind the scenes" memories of these past 500 albums, may we look forward to future classics on the next 500 CD's from producer...ROBERT TOWNSON!
Total Time: Disc One 71:20 on 19 Tracks & Disc Two 71:24 on 17 Tracks...Varese Sarabande 302 066 225 2...(2001)

Good, not great.......2007-01-07
There are some gems on this CD. Most of the music is nondescript when you listen to it; it is much more suited to being the background music of a TV show, of course. In other words, it's not like regular music you get on a regular commercial band's CD. In my opinion, the best songs are the Main Titles, in particular the 5th season.
Indeed it is........2007-01-05
With his compositions Franke shows how much he understands the B5 universe
of JMS. A true epic.
Wonderful!.......2001-11-05
This is a wonderful sound track. Chirstopher Franke catches the mood of the series with his music and it sounds even better when you listen to a recording, away from the episodes. Buy this.
This really is the Best of Babylon 5!.......2001-11-04
Thank you to Christopher Franke and Sonic Images for The Best of Babylon 5! Although I have most of these tracks on other B5 CD's, I really enjoyed this one because of the consistently great music. I would rank this one as excellent, along with my other two favorites, Babylon 5 Volume 2, "Messages from Earth" and the episodic CD, "Sleeping in Light." Two tracks deserve special mention: Track 2 is (I believe) a reworking of music from the album Babylon 5 Volume 1. With the "Battle of the Line" music in the background, Chris Franke adds new ideas to enhance the musical experience. The other notable track is the last one, Track 18 "Bonus Theme." This is a fabulous new track, which I understand was written for the (unfortunately never released) Babylon 5 CD-Rom game. This is six minutes of great music, that cannot be mistaken for anything other than "Babylon 5-style" music. It's a thrilling piece, which alone makes me glad I bought the CD. Let's hope we get the same quality offering with the "Legend of the Rangers" movie soundtrack, which I hope will be released next year.

Album Description
Here, in The Romantic Guitar of Liona Boyd, the loving hands of this renowned classical guitarist interprets some of the most beautiful compositions with the tender touch of a true romantic. The First Lady of the Guitar explores the melodic expressions of romance written by some of the greatest composers of our age, including the prolific and inspired Ms. Boyd herself. We often label this music "easy listening" - but the more astute will consider it rather an example of Liona's tasteful articulation and subtle ear for emotional nuance.
Customer Reviews:
Classical guitar muzak.......2006-05-22
Elevator muzak: soft versions of already soft music, such as showtunes and soundtracks. Just add a dash of classical guitar noodling, and you get this recording.
As a fan and student of classical guitar, I feel this recording does the instrument a disservice.
Liona Boyd meets Lawrence Welk.......2005-12-31
Simply put, it's corny and well below Liona's status. She must have produced this out of demand, from someone! It might as well be a spattering of Liona with Mantovani and Lawrence Welk!
Crank this one up 'til your mobile home rocks!
A Liona Boyd fan - still!
For Your Quiet Evenings........2003-01-23
I've had this album for years and I break it out every now and then. It's a very tasteful album and chock full of good tunes done extremely well by Liona. My favourite is 'Vaya Con Dios'. The piano complements the guitar so well. Give this album a whirl and together with Mancinis' 'As Time Goes By', you never know what'll happen.

3.5 stars.......2005-05-07
Shadows in the Deep itself is not all that good. But if you can get the new one that has across the Open sea,I would.Across the open Sea is a much better album in my opinion, both song-structure and soundwise.Yet it seems to be overlooked. However,I'm a collector,so I must have Shadows in the Deep.If anything it does have a unique sound, especially for it's '92 release.I love Johnny Hedlunds vocals! So I give this double-album 3.5 stars, mostly for Across the Open Sea.
Classic Death Metal Album........2003-11-03
I have the original. ROCK ON! Though I never listened to any of their other albums, this ranks as one of the biggest ass-kicking albums I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. SO RISE, IMMORTALS, WITH POWER, FROM HELL, WE MARCH!!!
Where Is It????.......2002-09-21
You'd be surprised how often I find myself wondering where I put my copy of Unleashed's Shadows In the Deep. Is it at my parents' house in Virginia? Did my sister's ex-boyfriend borrow it? Did I lose it? I just can't remember and it's getting more and more frustrating. There's only so much enjoyment I can derive from listening to the 30-second free samples ...
Back when I knew where it was, this CD never failed to get me hyper when I put it on at 4 in the morning. To paraphrase another reviewer, this is the party death metal album. I have no idea what Johnny Hedlund is barking about most of the time, but it sure puts you in the mood to bounce off the walls. Try the surging "Immortals" for instance. It kind of sounds like the extra bonus track you never heard from Motley Crue's Shout At the Devil album with Max Cavalera on vocals instead of Vince Neil. By the time, you get ten seconds into "Shadows in the Deep", I dare you to stay seated. This is first-class death metal, simple and straightforward. "Countesssss Bath-oreeeeaaaahh". Yeah, this good stuff. The music is great and accompanied by some of the better vocals in death metal (though the message can be offensive at times assuming you are able discern some of it).
No, they weren't in the class of early Entombed or At the Gates in terms of technical proficiency, but I have to imagine Unleashed provided the soundtrack for partying Swedish death metalheads for much of the early to mid 90s. If you are a long-time student of Swedish death metal, you've already got it. However, if you're just beginning your research or arrived on the scene a little late (nothing wrong with that), you could do a lot worse than to start your collection with Shadows in the Deep. Now, if I could only find my copy...
"So hail..behold...the old man." That song is not here.........2000-06-07
Early Unleashed, as heard here, was heavier, before they changed more into the AC/DC/Manowar of death metal. I have 5 Unleashed albums including this one and my favourite would be Warrior, try to find it, it is the boom digguhtea, hah. Unleashed has all the vital elements a Norweigan metal band would need: loud music, clever if unintentionally funny lyrics: ("Are you a man or a mouse, junkie"), and a scary blonde lead singer/bassist whose is much taller than the rest of the band named Johnny. The party death metal band....and the main strength of this album is the title song, Shadows in the Deep....But anyway buy the album...DEATH METAL VICTORY!
Nor is it Shadows of the Deep, but Shadows IN the Deep.......1999-11-21
BTW, this album is very good, as are all there albums. Pick any one you want and you won't be disappointed!

His now-weathered visage may not be as recognizable as that of his old Cream mate Eric Clapton, but Jack Bruce's voice doesn't require much in the way of an introduction. The man with the pipes behind such '60s proto-metal touchstones as "White Room" and "Sunshine of Your Love" (both revisited here, with Clapton in tow, no less!) long ago left rock stardom behind, but he's still a respected bassist and vocalist who serious musicians love to accompany. Here, in addition to Clapton, he enlists the likes of Gary Moore, Vernon Reid, and Dr. John. Despite the two Cream classics and a third selection culled from his days in the short-lived '70s supergroup West, Bruce & Laing, the bulk of Shadows in the Air consists of new material cowritten and coproduced by Bruce and past collaborator Kip Hanrahan. This isn't the tossed-off stuff one has come to expect from rock stars on the comeback trail, as the likes of the anti-music-biz screed "52nd Street" attests ("Their teeth are made of sharpened gold / Though their smiles are polished white"). Stardom may be a distant memory for this erstwhile rock god, but, judging by this 15-song outing, serious music certainly isn't. --Steven Stolder

Letting it Loose..........2006-03-28
Seems like JB turned it up a little bit & recruited some great help here. White Room & Sunshine have a little more production and are filled-out with some additional insturments. Out in the Fields was an interesting piece to choose from his old catalog--he gives it a nice, refreshing sound. Dark Heart & Mr. Flesh are also nicely crafted songs from the unnoticed one.
Bruce - Still Restlessly Creative and Passionate.......2004-08-24
First, I'll admit I have not heard any other Jack Bruce solo album; I had heard him only in Cream records so far. In fact, this is the first solo album I have by ANY artist which first became famous in a prominent band (I love Led Zeppelin, for example, but I still don't have any of its members' solo albums. So goes for several other bands I like a lot). A reviewer named showbiz27, among other remarks, coldly and dryly says that Bruce's voice is "shot." Ouch. He could have used some sugar-coating for that one, right? Show some respect, man! This is the legendary Jack Bruce. Obviously, no one's voice will be the same as it was more than 35 years later. Yes, his vocals sound a bit strained and a bit rough here and there, but the passion is undeniable. If you check out my other reviews, you'll see that this album is not even remotely like anything else on that list. I found it to be a very unique blend of folk, jazz, rock, and especially, blues. Bruce's writing still oozes a restless desire to be unique, a thirst for exploration that I find truly refreshing. In this sense, Bruce is still his young, eager, late 60's self. If some of the songs sound a bit like jams, so what? The means is not what's important, it's the end result. And the end result here is great, heartfelt music. That's like saying The Grateful Dead's music is bad because it is jam-based, or jam-originated, or whatever. Who cares how it came together? I certainly don't, as long as I get good music. I will definitely explore some of his other work, especially his much-acclaimed debut, "Songs for a Tailor." As of now, I have fallen in love with this music. Give it a chance, like I did. The first time I heard it, it sort of didn't click with me -it was different from what I am used to. But after a while, it sank in, and I was sold. Jack Bruce is still going strong as a creative artist, and that's great news.
Good show, Jack the Lad........2002-04-29
Jack Bruce is one of those natural musicians with a perfect ear for scales & pitches. Another one is Paul MaCartney & they both happen to play bass as their primary instument. This CD is again more commercial than his earlier works from "Songs for a Tailor" to "Monkjack" but it is still innovative. Jack is not one who sticks to a few formulas in his compositions and arrangements. Even old standards like Cream's Sunshine of your love & White Room get facelifts with different embellishments. Even Clapton sounded fresh after having incorporated these two numbers in his live sets for over a decade now. This CD is a real winner.
Great Stuff!.......2001-12-21
Jack Bruce. Kind of an 'odd man out' - never in the mainstream; that's for sure. I hesitated before buying this one. I did and am glad I did (I'm so Glad).
I have yet to fully involve myself with the CD. This is a good sign. It indicates the music contains more to investigate.
My recomendation is simple. One of my all time favourites has been West, Bruce, Laing's "I'm Into The Fields". Buy the CD for that reason. It's the first track. If you hate the rest of the CD you will still have your money's worth.
If you are shopping, you could do a lot worse than this. Bruce is a first rate musician and keeps company with the best!
Jack's Back.......2001-11-04
A more laid-back productioin than previous outings, 'Shadows in the Air' remains pure Bruce. Other's have reviewed the work and lauded the guests. Let me just add that Jack's soulful vocal work is as fresh as ever. The Cream covers are updated without being over-done. Lord, let me live as well as Jack Bruce. From Stuttgart, wcs
